5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Niye awiya Tuwara yangtagao dubu ara. Niye awiya Tuwara pirisa dubu ara. Niye awiya Tuwara gegeregao dubu ara. Niye awiya Tuwara emo bauno me ara. Awiya niye Tuwa Bayaura tani iwawaing-kakawaing auna bowi sero sero yaese sero niye yangtagaina ara. Nung niye mumena atu puro pu waegao nuna iwaing auna gaina ara.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Niye gitau Tuwa Bayaura dubu oko yero nasani nauwa. Arata yeme ewiya niye dubu nuna yero nowa ara. Gitau awiya niye Tuwa Bayaura mono iwaing aung nasani nauwa, arata yeme zo niye mono iwaing nuna-una atu yero nowa ara.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.

11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Emo mene sao tauyao ge benaung giti niye eno pugaya giro niye Tuwa kotupu nasani diungno aung yepu. Emo tuwa witao noiya aune

14 emo tuwara wese yero nowa auna ge diungpu. Emo tuwara wese awong amimene pasena mani eno pasenana abena pugaese sao ara. Nupema nao iwaing yero nowa awong awiya bowi yaese sao ara.
14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Tuwa Bayau mene niye etutero nasani aune emo darabi mene sero yaine nowa awong awiya puro wosaya ge no saine yero giro yangduwaese sero noiya ara.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Niye emo zora soumani oko yero nowa. Awiya me ara. Arata niye “Na emo zora soumani oko,” ayero sero pasena oko yepu. Tuwa Bayau mene niye sorinoiya awiya kotupu nasani giro soumani nuna yero neupu.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Niye emo dubu apakana awiya samo dedunasani neupu. Ayero yero nasani kotumao puro pu Yesura otao maingna-una gaipu. Ayero yero nasani Tuwa Bayau awang yepu. Nupema emo tuwa witao nung awiya sou yero samo dedunasani neupu.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Soumani, niye emo tuwa ninae sou yero nasani ge nunae diungpu. Awiya emo tuwa iwaing dubo-ozaore aeno gege oko, kokoniyao aune eno dema yepu.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Awong niye pasena oko yao aune yaya tebeba niye eno pugaya giro saineba niye Tuwa Bayau kotupu nasani be dung oko yao doro yaya awiya dipunasani naya Tuwa Bayau mene gai iwaing yariniya ara.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Ora pasena tamaya niye daya yaya tapunasani be dung oko yao doro naya awe mene gai iwaing yariniye? Arata etutero nasani aune yaya tauno dipunasani be dung oko yao doro naya Tuwa Bayau mene gai teng yariniya ara.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Niye ayero yaese Tuwa Bayau mene niye yau sena ara. Kristo nung deka ayero pasena aung nasani niye aeno yaya tapunasani gitau yena. Arare niye deka ayero te weso nuna amaze gosinasani patiro neupu.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Nung pasena oko tauna, nupema ge iwao ge zo nuna-una bera atu oko kasa yena.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Awong nung izinasani ge meko sewa abena ge meko oko sena. Awong yaya nung eno pugaiwa arata auna abena yari oko sena. Nung ge nuna awiya zaz buro ge iwao aung me gege yero noiya auna-una pugaina ara.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Pasena naname mene taung ipu nuna-una witinu nung nuka nutope diungno puro i pasaora pugairo puro witina ara. Awiya pasena yangdoro dubo pewa yero iwaing nanenese ayero yena ara. Taung kuruwa busao nuna mene niye kora yena ara.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Niye wo sipsip ine sisi-bura-bura yero nasani nauwa. Arata yeme zo niye dubore ititire ninae auna diya yao maung ninae una yesese yero bumuwa.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
