1 And it cometh to pass, when the wall hath been built, that I set up the doors, and the gatekeepers are appointed, and the singers, and the Levites,
1 Ora, uma vez reedificado o muro e assentadas as portas, estabelecidos os porteiros, os cantores e os levitas,
2 and I charge Hanani my brother, and Hananiah head of the palace, concerning Jerusalem -- for he [is] as a man of truth, and fearing God above many --
2 eu nomeei Hanani, meu irmão, e Hananias, maioral do castelo, sobre Jerusalém. Hananias era homem fiel e temente a Deus, mais do que muitos outros.
3 and I say to them, `Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened till the heat of the sun, and while they are standing by let them shut the doors, and fasten, and appoint guards of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, each in his guard, and each over-against his house.`
3 E lhes disse: não se abram as portas de Jerusalém até que o sol aqueça e, enquanto os guardas ainda estão ali, que se fechem as portas e se tranquem; ponham-se guardas dos moradores de Jerusalém, cada um no seu posto diante de sua casa.
4 And the city [is] broad on both sides, and great, and the people [are] few in its midst, and there are no houses builded;
4 A cidade era espaçosa e grande, mas havia pouca gente nela, e as casas não estavam edificadas ainda.
5 and my God putteth it unto my heart, and I gather the freeman, and the prefects, and the people, for the genealogy, and I find a book of the genealogy of those coming up at the beginning, and I find written in it: --
5 Então, o meu Deus me pôs no coração que ajuntasse os nobres, os magistrados e o povo, para registrar as genealogias. Achei o livro da genealogia dos que subiram primeiro, e nele estava escrito:
6 These [are] sons of the province, those coming up of the captives of the removal that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon removed -- and they turn back to Jerusalem and to Judah, each to his city --
6 São estes os filhos da província que subiram do cativeiro, dentre os exilados, que Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, levara para o exílio e que voltaram para Jerusalém e para Judá, cada um para a sua cidade,
7 who are coming in with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Azariah, Raamiah, Nahamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispereth, Bigvai, Nehum, Baanah. Number of the men of the people of Israel:
7 os quais vieram com Zorobabel, Jesua, Neemias, Azarias, Raamias, Naamani, Mordecai, Bilsã, Misperete, Bigvai, Neum e Baaná. Este é o número dos homens do povo de Israel:
8 Sons of Parosh: two thousand a hundred and seventy and two.
8 foram os filhos de Parós, dois mil cento e setenta e dois.
9 Sons of Shephatiah: three hundred seventy and two.
9 Os filhos de Sefatias, trezentos e setenta e dois.
10 Sons of Arah: six hundred fifty and two.
10 Os filhos de Ará, seiscentos e cinquenta e dois.
11 Sons of Pahath-Moab, of the sons of Jeshua and Joab: two thousand and eight hundred [and] eighteen.
11 Os filhos de Paate-Moabe, dos filhos de Jesua e de Joabe, dois mil oitocentos e dezoito.
12 Sons of Elam: a thousand two hundred fifty and four.
12 Os filhos de Elão, mil duzentos e cinquenta e quatro.
13 Sons of Zattu: eight hundred forty and five.
13 Os filhos de Zatu, oitocentos e quarenta e cinco.
14 Sons of Zaccai: seven hundred and sixty.
14 Os filhos de Zacai, setecentos e sessenta.
15 Sons of Binnui: six hundred forty and eight.
15 Os filhos de Binui, seiscentos e quarenta e oito.
16 Sons of Bebai: six hundred twenty and eight.
16 Os filhos de Bebai, seiscentos e vinte e oito.
17 Sons of Azgad: two thousand three hundred twenty and two.
17 Os filhos de Azgade, dois mil trezentos e vinte e dois.
18 Sons of Adonikam: six hundred sixty and seven.
18 Os filhos de Adonicão, seiscentos e sessenta e sete.
19 Sons of Bigvai: two thousand sixty and seven.
19 Os filhos de Bigvai, dois mil e sessenta e sete.
20 Sons of Adin: six hundred fifty and five.
20 Os filhos de Adim, seiscentos e cinquenta e cinco.
21 Sons of Ater of Hezekiah: ninety and eight.
21 Os filhos de Ater, da família de Ezequias, noventa e oito.
22 Sons of Hashum: three hundred twenty and eight.
22 Os filhos de Hasum, trezentos e vinte e oito.
23 Sons of Bezai: three hundred twenty and four.
23 Os filhos de Besai, trezentos e vinte e quatro.
24 Sons of Hariph: a hundred [and] twelve.
24 Os filhos de Harife, cento e doze.
25 Sons of Gibeon: ninety and five.
25 Os filhos de Gibeão, noventa e cinco.
26 Men of Beth-Lehem and Netophah: a hundred eighty and eight.
26 Os homens de Belém e de Netofa, cento e oitenta e oito.
27 Men of Anathoth: a hundred twenty and eight.
27 Os homens de Anatote, cento e vinte e oito.
28 Men of Beth-Azmaveth: forty and two.
28 Os homens de Bete-Azmavete, quarenta e dois.
29 Men of Kirjath-Jearim, Chephirah, and Beeroth: seven hundred forty and three.
29 Os homens de Quiriate-Jearim, Cefira e Beerote, setecentos e quarenta e três.
30 Men of Ramah and Gaba: six hundred twenty and one.
30 Os homens de Ramá e Geba, seiscentos e vinte e um.
31 Men of Michmas: a hundred and twenty and two.
31 Os homens de Micmás, cento e vinte e dois.
32 Men of Bethel and Ai: a hundred twenty and three.
32 Os homens de Betel e Ai, cento e vinte e três.
33 Men of the other Nebo: fifty and two.
33 Os homens do outro Nebo, cinquenta e dois.
34 Sons of the other Elam: a thousand two hundred fifty and four.
34 Os filhos do outro Elão, mil duzentos e cinquenta e quatro.
35 Sons of Harim: three hundred and twenty.
35 Os filhos de Harim, trezentos e vinte.
36 Sons of Jericho: three hundred forty and five.
36 Os filhos de Jericó, trezentos e quarenta e cinco.
37 Sons of Lod, Hadid, and Ono: seven hundred and twenty and one.
37 Os filhos de Lode, Hadide e Ono, setecentos e vinte e um.
38 Sons of Senaah: three thousand nine hundred and thirty.
38 Os filhos de Senaá, três mil novecentos e trinta.
39 The priests: sons of Jedaiah: of the house of Jeshua: nine hundred seventy and three;
39 Os sacerdotes: os filhos de Jedaías, da casa de Jesua, novecentos e setenta e três.
40 sons of Immer: a thousand fifty and two;
40 Os filhos de Imer, mil e cinquenta e dois.
41 sons of Pashur: a thousand two hundred forty and seven;
41 Os filhos de Pasur, mil duzentos e quarenta e sete.
42 sons of Harim: a thousand and seventeen.
42 Os filhos de Harim, mil e dezessete.
43 The Levites: sons of Jeshua, of Kadmiel: of sons of Hodevah: seventy and four.
43 Os levitas: os filhos de Jesua, de Cadmiel, dos filhos de Hodeva, setenta e quatro.
44 The singers: sons of Asaph: a hundred forty and eight.
44 Os cantores: os filhos de Asafe, cento e quarenta e oito.
45 The gatekeepers: sons of Shallum, sons of Ater, sons of Talmon, sons of Akkub, sons of Hatita, sons of Shobai: a hundred thirty and eight.
45 Os porteiros: os filhos de Salum, os filhos de Ater, os filhos de Talmom, os filhos de Acube, os filhos de Hatita, os filhos de Sobai, cento e trinta e oito.
46 The Nethinim: sons of Ziha, sons of Hasupha, sons of Tabbaoth,

47 sons of Keros, sons of Sia, sons of Padon,

52 sons of Bezai, sons of Meunim, sons of Nephishesim,
52 os filhos de Besai, os filhos de Meunim, os filhos de Nefusesim,
53 sons of Bakbuk, sons of Hakupha, sons of Harhur,
53 os filhos de Baquebuque, os filhos de Hacufa, os filhos de Harur,
54 sons of Bazlith, sons of Mehida, sons of Harsha,
54 os filhos de Bazlite, os filhos de Meída, os filhos de Harsa,
55 sons of Barkos, sons of Sisera, sons of Tamah,
55 os filhos de Barcos, os filhos de Sísera, os filhos de Tama,
56 sons of Neziah, sons of Hatipha.
56 os filhos de Nesias e os filhos de Hatifa.
57 Sons of the servants of Solomon: sons of Sotai, sons of Sophereth, sons of Perida,
57 Os filhos dos servos de Salomão: os filhos de Sotai, os filhos de Soferete, os filhos de Perida,
58 sons of Jaala, sons of Darkon, sons of Giddel,
58 os filhos de Jaala, os filhos de Darcom, os filhos de Gidel,
59 sons of Shephatiah, sons of Hattil, sons of Pochereth of Zebaim, sons of Amon.
59 os filhos de Sefatias, os filhos de Hatil, os filhos de Poquerete-Hazebaim e os filhos de Amom.
60 All the Nethinim and the sons of the servants of Solomon [are] three hundred ninety and two.
60 Todos os servidores do templo e os filhos dos servos de Salomão, trezentos e noventa e dois.
61 And these [are] those coming up from Tel-Melah, Tel-Harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer -- and they have not been able to declare the house of their fathers, and their seed, whether they [are] of Israel --
61 Os seguintes subiram de Tel-Melá, Tel-Harsa, Querube, Adom e Imer, porém não puderam provar que as suas famílias e a sua linhagem eram de Israel:
62 sons of Delaiah, sons of Tobiah, sons of Nekoda, six hundred forty and two.
62 os filhos de Delaías, os filhos de Tobias, os filhos de Necoda, seiscentos e quarenta e dois.
63 And of the priests: sons of Habaiah sons of Koz, sons of Barzillai, who hath taken from the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite a wife, and is called by their name.
63 Dos sacerdotes: os filhos de Habaías, os filhos de Coz, os filhos de Barzilai, o qual se casou com uma das filhas de Barzilai, o gileadita, e que foi chamado pelo nome dele.
64 These have sought their register among those reckoning themselves by genealogy, and it hath not been found, and they are redeemed from the priesthood,
64 Estes procuraram o seu registro nos livros genealógicos, porém o não acharam; pelo que foram tidos por imundos para o sacerdócio.
65 and the Tirshatha saith to them that they eat not of the most holy things till the standing up of the priest with Urim and Thummim.
65 O governador lhes disse que não comessem das coisas sagradas, até que se levantasse um sacerdote com Urim e Tumim.
66 All the assembly together [is] four myriads two thousand three hundred and sixty,
66 Toda esta congregação junta foi de quarenta e dois mil trezentos e sessenta,
67 apart from their servants and their handmaids -- these [are] seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven; and of them [are] singers and songstresses, two hundred forty and five.
67 afora os seus servos e as suas servas, que foram sete mil trezentos e trinta e sete; e tinham duzentos e quarenta e cinco cantores e cantoras.
68 Their horses [are] seven hundred thirty and six; their mules, two hundred [and] forty and five;
68 Os seus cavalos, setecentos e trinta e seis; os seus mulos, duzentos e quarenta e cinco.
69 camels, four hundred thirty and five; asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty.
69 Camelos, quatrocentos e trinta e cinco; jumentos, seis mil setecentos e vinte.
70 And from the extremity of the heads of the fathers they have given to the work; the Tirshatha hath given to the treasure, of gold, drams a thousand, bowls fifty, priests` coats thirty and five hundred.
70 Alguns dos cabeças das famílias contribuíram para a obra. O governador deu para o tesouro, em ouro, mil daricos, cinquenta bacias e quinhentas e trinta vestes sacerdotais.
71 And of the heads of the fathers they have given to the treasure of the work, of gold, drams two myriads, and of silver, pounds two thousand and two hundred.
71 E alguns mais dos cabeças das famílias deram para o tesouro da obra, em ouro, vinte mil daricos e, em prata, dois mil e duzentos arráteis.
72 And that which the rest of the people have given [is] of gold, drams two myriads, and of silver, pounds two thousand, and of priests coats, sixty and seven.
72 O que deu o restante do povo foi, em ouro, vinte mil daricos, e dois mil arráteis em prata, e sessenta e sete vestes sacerdotais.
73 And they dwell -- the priests, and the Levites, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and [some] of the people, and the Nethinim, and all Israel -- in their cities, and the seventh month cometh, and the sons of Israel [are] in their cities.
73 Os sacerdotes, os levitas, os porteiros, os cantores, alguns do povo, os servidores do templo e todo o Israel habitavam nas suas cidades.
