1 In the eiythe monethe, in the secounde yeer of Darius, the word of the Lord was maad to Sacarie, the sone of Barachie, the sone of Addo,
1 No oitavo mês do segundo ano do reinado de Dario, a palavra do Senhor veio ao profeta Zacarias, filho de Berequias e neto de Ido:
2 profete, and seide, The Lord is wrooth on youre fadris with wrathfulnesse.
2 "O Senhor muito se irou contra os seus antepassados.
3 And thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord of oostis seith these thingis. Be ye conuertid to me, seith the Lord of oostis, and Y schal be conuertid to you, seith the Lord of oostis.
3 Por isso diga ao povo: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: ‘Voltem para mim, e eu me voltarei para vocês’, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.
4 Be ye not as youre fadris, to whiche the formere profetis crieden, seiynge, The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Be ye conuertid fro youre yuel weies, and youre worste thouytis; and thei herden not, nether token tent to me, seith the Lord of oostis.
4 Não sejam como os seus antepassados aos quais os antigos profetas proclamaram: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: ‘Deixem os seus caminhos e as suas más obras. Mas eles não me ouviram nem me deram atenção’, declara o Senhor.
5 Where ben youre fadris and profetis? whether thei schulen lyue with outen ende?
5 Onde estão agora os seus antepassados? E os profetas, acaso vivem eles para sempre?
6 Netheles my wordis and my lawful thingis, whiche Y comaundide to my seruauntis profetis, whether thei tauyten not youre fadris? And thei weren conuertid, and seiden, As the Lord of oostys thouyte for to do to vs bi oure weies, and bi oure fyndingis he dide to vs.
6 Mas as minhas palavras e os meus decretos, que ordenei aos meus servos, os profetas, alcançaram os seus antepassados e os levaram a converter-se e a dizer: ‘O Senhor dos Exércitos fez conosco o que os nossos caminhos e práticas mereciam, conforme prometeu’ ".

7 No dia vigésimo quarto do décimo primeiro mês, o mês de sebate, no segundo ano do reinado de Dario, a palavra do Senhor veio ao profeta Zacarias, filho de Berequias e neto de Ido:
8 profete, and seide, Y saiy bi niyt, and lo! a man stiynge on a reed hors; and he stood bitwixe places where mirtis wexen, that weren in the depthe, and aftir hym weren horsis reede, dyuerse, and white.
8 Durante a noite tive uma visão; apareceu na minha frente um homem montado num cavalo vermelho. Ele estava parado entre as murtas num desfiladeiro. Atrás dele havia cavalos vermelhos, marrons e brancos.
9 And Y seide, My lord, who ben these? And an aungel of the Lord seide to me, that spak in me, Y schal schewe to thee what these ben.
9 Então perguntei: Quem são estes, meu senhor? O anjo que estava falando comigo respondeu: "Eu lhe mostrarei quem são".
10 And the man that stood bitwix places where mirtis wexen, answeride, and seide, These it ben, whiche the Lord sente, that thei walke thorouy erthe.
10 Então o homem que estava entre as murtas explicou: "São aqueles que o Senhor enviou por toda a terra".
11 And thei answeriden to the aungel of the Lord, that stood bitwixe places where mirtis wexen, and seiden, We han walkid thorouy erthe, and lo! al erthe is enhabitid, and restith.
11 E eles relataram ao anjo do Senhor que estava entre as murtas: "Percorremos toda a terra e a encontramos em paz e tranqüila".
12 And the aungel of the Lord answeride, and seide, Lord of oostis, hou long schalt thou not haue merci on Jerusalem, and citees of Juda, to whiche thou art wrooth? This now is the seuentithe yeer.
12 Então o anjo do Senhor respondeu: "Senhor dos Exércitos, até quando deixarás de ter misericórdia de Jerusalém e das cidades de Judá, com as quais estás indignado há setenta anos? "
13 And the Lord answeride to the aungel, that spak in me, goode wordis, and wordis of coumfort.
13 Então o Senhor respondeu palavras boas e confortadoras ao anjo que falava comigo.
14 And the aungel that spak in me, seide to me, Crie thou, seiynge, The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Y louyde Jerusalem and Sion in greet feruour;
14 E o anjo me disse: "Proclame: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: ‘Eu tenho sido muito zeloso com Jerusalém e Sião,
15 and in greet wraththe Y schal be wroth on riche folkis; for Y was wrooth a litil, forsothe thei helpiden in to yuel.
15 mas estou muito irado contra as nações que se sentem seguras. Porque eu estava apenas um pouco irado com meu povo, mas elas aumentaram a dor que ele sofria! ’
16 Therfor the Lord seith these thingis, Y schal turne ayen to Jerusalem in mercies. Myn hous schal be bildid in it, seith the Lord of oostis; and a plomet schal be streiyt out on Jerusalem.
16 "Por isso, assim diz o Senhor: ‘Estou voltando-me para Jerusalém com misericórdia, e ali o meu templo será reconstruído. A corda de medir será esticada sobre Jerusalém’, declara o Senhor dos Exércitos.
17 Yit crie thou, seiynge, The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Yit my citees schulen flete with goodis, and yit the Lord schal coumforte Sion, and yit he schal chese Jerusalem.
17 "Diga mais: Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: ‘As minhas cidades transbordarão de prosperidade novamente, e o Senhor consolará novamente a Sião e escolherá Jerusalém’ ".
18 And Y reiside myn iyen, and Y saiy, and lo! foure hornes.
18 Depois eu olhei para o alto, e vi quatro chifres.
19 And Y seide to the aungel that spak in me, What ben these? And he seide to me, These ben hornes, that wyndewiden Juda, and Israel, and Jerusalem.
19 Então perguntei ao anjo que falava comigo: "O que são estes? " Ele me respondeu: "Estes são os chifres que dispersaram Judá, Israel e Jerusalém".
20 And the Lord schewide to me foure smythis.
20 Depois o Senhor mostrou-me quatro artesãos.
21 And Y seide, What comen these for to do? Which spak, seiynge, These ben the hornes, that wyndewiden Juda bi alle men, and no man of hem reiside his heed; and these camen for to make hem aferd, that thei caste doun the hornes of hethene men, which reisiden horn on the lond of Juda, for to scatere it.
21 Eu perguntei: "O que eles vêm fazer? " Ele respondeu: "Estes são os chifres que dispersaram Judá a ponto de ninguém sequer conseguir levantar a cabeça, mas os artesãos vieram aterrorizar e quebrar esses chifres das nações que se levantaram contra o povo de Judá para dispersá-lo".
