1 And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, Speke thou to the sones of Israel,
1 Então o S enhor disse a Moisés:
2 and thou schalt seie to hem, Y am youre Lord God;
2 “Dê as seguintes instruções ao povo de Israel. Eu sou o S enhor , seu Deus.
3 ye schulen not do by the custom of the lond of Egipt, in which ye dwelliden; ye schulen not do bi the custom of the cuntrei of Canaan, `to which Y schal brynge you yn, nethir ye schulen go in the lawful thingis of hem.
3 Portanto, não se comportem como o povo do Egito, onde vocês viviam, nem como o povo de Canaã, para onde os estou levando. Não imitem o estilo de vida deles.
4 Ye schulen do my domes, and ye schulen kepe myn heestis, and ye schulen go in tho; Y am youre Lord God.
4 Obedeçam aos meus estatutos e cumpram os meus decretos, pois eu sou o S enhor , seu Deus.
5 Kepe ye my lawis and domes, whiche a man `schal do, and schal lyue in tho; Y am youre Lord God.
5 Sim, obedeçam aos meus decretos e aos meus estatutos; quem os praticar viverá por eles. Eu sou o S enhor .
6 Ech man schal not neiy to the nyy womman of his blood, that he schewe `the filthe of hir; Y am the Lord.
6 “Jamais tenha relações sexuais com uma parenta próxima, pois eu sou o S enhor .
7 Thou schalt not diskyuere the filthe of thi fadir and the filthe of thi modir; sche is thi modir, thou schalt not schewe hir filthe.
7 “Não desonre seu pai, tendo relações sexuais com sua mãe. Ela é sua mãe; não tenha relações sexuais com ela.
8 Thou schalt not vnhile the filthe of the wijf of thi fadir, for it is the filthe of thi fadir.
8 “Não tenha relações sexuais com nenhuma das esposas de seu pai, pois isso desonraria seu pai.
9 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of thi sistir, of fadir `ether of modir, which sister is gendrid at hoome ether without forth.
9 “Não tenha relações sexuais com sua irmã ou meia-irmã, filha de seu pai ou de sua mãe, nascida em sua casa ou em outra casa.
10 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of the douyter of thi sone, ether of neece of thi douyter, for it is thi filthe.
10 “Não tenha relações sexuais com sua neta, filha de seu filho ou de sua filha, pois com isso você desonraria a si mesmo.
11 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of the douyter of the wijf of thi fadir, which sche childide to thi fadir, and is thi sistir.
11 “Não tenha relações sexuais com a filha de nenhuma das esposas de seu pai, pois ela é sua irmã.
12 Thou schalt not opene the filthe of the `sister of thi fadir, for sche is the fleisch of thi fadir.
12 “Não tenha relações sexuais com sua tia, irmã de seu pai, pois ela é parenta próxima de seu pai.
13 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of the sistir of thi modir, for sche is the fleisch of thi modir.
13 “Não tenha relações sexuais com sua tia, irmã de sua mãe, pois ela é parenta próxima de sua mãe.
14 Thou schalt not shewe the filthe of the brothir of thi fadir, nethir thou schalt neiye to his wijf, which is ioyned to thee bi affinyte.
14 “Não desonre seu tio, irmão de seu pai, tendo relações sexuais com a mulher dele, pois ela é sua tia.
15 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of thi sones wijf, for sche is the wijf of thi sone, nether thou schalt diskiuere hir schenschip; and no man take his brotheris wijf.
15 “Não tenha relações sexuais com sua nora; ela é mulher de seu filho, de modo que você não deve ter relações sexuais com ela.
16 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of `the wijf of thi brother, for it is the filthe of thi brothir.
16 “Não tenha relações sexuais com a mulher de seu irmão, pois desonraria seu irmão.
17 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of thi wijf, and of hir douyter; thou schalt not take the douytir of hir sone, and the douytir of hir douyter, that thou schewe hir schenschip; thei ben the fleisch of hir, and siche letcherie is incest.
17 “Não tenha relações sexuais com uma mulher e a filha dela. E não tome a neta dela, filha do filho ou da filha dela, e tenha relações sexuais com ela, pois são parentas próximas. Isso é perversão.
18 Thou schalt not take `the sister of thi wijf, in to concubynage of hir, nethir thou schalt schewe `the filthe of hir, while thi wijf lyueth yit.
18 “Enquanto sua esposa estiver viva, não se case nem tenha relações sexuais com a irmã dela, pois elas se tornariam rivais.
19 Thou schalt not neiye to a womman that suffrith rennyng of blood of monethe, nethir thou schalt schewe hir filthe.
19 “Não tenha relações sexuais com uma mulher durante o período de impureza menstrual dela.
20 Thou schalt not do letcherie with `the wijf of thi neiybore, nether thou schalt be defoulid with medlyng of seed.
20 “Não tenha relações sexuais com a mulher do seu próximo, contaminando-se com ela.
21 Thou schalt not yyue of thi seed, that it be offrid to the idol Moloch, nether thou schalt defoule the name of thi God; Y am the Lord.
21 “Não permita que nenhum de seus filhos seja oferecido como sacrifício a Moloque. Não desonre o nome do seu Deus. Eu sou o S enhor .
22 Thou schalt not be medlid with a man bi letcherie of womman, for it is abhomynacioun.
22 “Não pratique a homossexualidade, tendo relações sexuais com outro homem como se fosse com uma mulher. Isso é detestável.
23 Thou schalt not do letcherie with ony beeste, nethir thou schalt be defoulid with it. A womman schal not ligge vnder a beeste, nether schal be medlid therwith, for it is greet synne.
23 “Homem nenhum deve se contaminar tendo relações sexuais com um animal. E mulher nenhuma deve se oferecer para um animal macho para ter relações com ele. Isso é depravação.
24 Be ye not defoulid in alle these thingis, in whiche alle `folkis, ether hethen men, ben defoulid, whiche folkis Y schal caste out bifor youre siyt,
24 “Não se contaminem de nenhuma dessas formas, pois os povos que expulsarei da presença de vocês se contaminaram com todas essas práticas.
25 of whiche the lond is defoulid, of which lond Y schal vysyte the grete synnes, that it spewe out hise dwellers.
25 Uma vez que a terra toda foi contaminada, castigarei seus habitantes. Farei a terra vomitá-los.
26 Kepe ye my lawful thingis and domes, that ye do not of alle these abhomynaciouns, as wel a man borun in the lond as a comelyng which is a pilgrym at you.
26 Obedeçam aos meus decretos e aos meus estatutos. Não cometam nenhum desses atos detestáveis. Isso se aplica tanto aos israelitas de nascimento como aos estrangeiros que vivem entre vocês.
27 For the dwellers of the lond, that weren bifor you, diden alle these abhomynaciouns, and defouliden that lond.
27 “Todos esses atos detestáveis são praticados pelos povos da terra para onde eu os estou levando, e foi assim que a terra ficou contaminada.
28 Therfor be ye war, lest it caste out viliche also you in lijk manere, whanne ye han do lijk synnes, as it castide out vileche the folk, that was bifor you.
28 Por isso, não contaminem a terra e não lhe deem motivo para vomitá-los, como fará com os povos que agora vivem ali.
29 Ech man that doith ony thing of these abhomynaciouns, schal perische fro the myddis of his puple.
29 Quem cometer algum desses pecados detestáveis será eliminado do meio do povo.
30 Kepe ye myn heestis; nyle ye do tho thingis, whiche thei that weren bifor you diden, and be ye not defoulid in tho; Y am youre Lord God.
30 Portanto, obedeçam às minhas instruções e não se contaminem por adotar alguma dessas práticas detestáveis dos povos que viveram na terra antes de vocês. Eu sou o S enhor , seu Deus”.
