1 And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, Speke thou to the sones of Israel,
1 Disse mais o Senhor a Moisés:
2 and thou schalt seie to hem, Y am youre Lord God;
2 Fala aos filhos de Israel, e dize-lhes: Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.
3 ye schulen not do by the custom of the lond of Egipt, in which ye dwelliden; ye schulen not do bi the custom of the cuntrei of Canaan, `to which Y schal brynge you yn, nethir ye schulen go in the lawful thingis of hem.
3 Não fareis segundo as obras da terra do Egito, em que habitastes; nem fareis segundo as obras da terra de Canaã, para a qual eu vos levo; nem andareis segundo os seus estatutos.
4 Ye schulen do my domes, and ye schulen kepe myn heestis, and ye schulen go in tho; Y am youre Lord God.
4 Os meus preceitos observareis, e os meus estatutos guardareis, para andardes neles. Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.
5 Kepe ye my lawis and domes, whiche a man `schal do, and schal lyue in tho; Y am youre Lord God.
5 Guardareis, pois, os meus estatutos e as minhas ordenanças, pelas quais o homem, observando-as, viverá. Eu sou o Senhor.
6 Ech man schal not neiy to the nyy womman of his blood, that he schewe `the filthe of hir; Y am the Lord.
6 Nenhum de vós se chegará àquela que lhe é próxima por sangue, para descobrir a sua nudez. Eu sou o Senhor.
7 Thou schalt not diskyuere the filthe of thi fadir and the filthe of thi modir; sche is thi modir, thou schalt not schewe hir filthe.
7 Não descobrirás a nudez de teu pai, nem tampouco a de tua mãe; ela é tua mãe, não descobrirás a sua nudez.
8 Thou schalt not vnhile the filthe of the wijf of thi fadir, for it is the filthe of thi fadir.
8 Não descobrirás a nudez da mulher de teu pai; é nudez de teu pai.
9 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of thi sistir, of fadir `ether of modir, which sister is gendrid at hoome ether without forth.
9 A nudez de tua irmã por parte de pai ou por parte de mãe, quer nascida em casa ou fora de casa, não a descobrirás.
10 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of the douyter of thi sone, ether of neece of thi douyter, for it is thi filthe.
10 Nem tampouco descobrirás a nudez da filha de teu filho, ou da filha de tua filha; porque é tua nudez.
11 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of the douyter of the wijf of thi fadir, which sche childide to thi fadir, and is thi sistir.
11 A nudez da filha da mulher de teu pai, gerada de teu pai, a qual é tua irmã, não a descobrirás.
12 Thou schalt not opene the filthe of the `sister of thi fadir, for sche is the fleisch of thi fadir.
12 Não descobrirás a nudez da irmã de teu pai; ela é parenta chegada de teu pai.
13 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of the sistir of thi modir, for sche is the fleisch of thi modir.
13 Não descobrirás a nudez da irmã de tua mãe, pois ela é parenta chegada de tua mãe.
14 Thou schalt not shewe the filthe of the brothir of thi fadir, nethir thou schalt neiye to his wijf, which is ioyned to thee bi affinyte.
14 Não descobrirás a nudez do irmão de teu pai; não te chegarás à sua mulher; ela é tua tia.
15 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of thi sones wijf, for sche is the wijf of thi sone, nether thou schalt diskiuere hir schenschip; and no man take his brotheris wijf.
15 Não descobrirás a nudez de tua nora; ,ela é mulher de teu filho; não descobrirás a sua nudez.
16 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of `the wijf of thi brother, for it is the filthe of thi brothir.
16 Não descobrirás a nudez da mulher de teu irmão; é a nudez de teu irmão.
17 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of thi wijf, and of hir douyter; thou schalt not take the douytir of hir sone, and the douytir of hir douyter, that thou schewe hir schenschip; thei ben the fleisch of hir, and siche letcherie is incest.
17 Não descobrirás a nudez duma mulher e de sua filha. Não tomarás a filha de seu filho, nem a filha de sua filha, para descobrir a sua nudez; são parentas chegadas; é maldade.
18 Thou schalt not take `the sister of thi wijf, in to concubynage of hir, nethir thou schalt schewe `the filthe of hir, while thi wijf lyueth yit.
18 E não tomarás uma mulher juntamente com sua irmã, durante a vida desta, para tornar-lha rival, descobrindo a sua nudez ao lado da outra.
19 Thou schalt not neiye to a womman that suffrith rennyng of blood of monethe, nethir thou schalt schewe hir filthe.
19 Também não te chegarás a mulher enquanto for impura em virtude da sua imundícia, para lhe descobrir a nudez.
20 Thou schalt not do letcherie with `the wijf of thi neiybore, nether thou schalt be defoulid with medlyng of seed.
20 Nem te deitarás com a mulher de teu próximo, contaminando-te com ela.
21 Thou schalt not yyue of thi seed, that it be offrid to the idol Moloch, nether thou schalt defoule the name of thi God; Y am the Lord.
21 Não oferecerás a Moloque nenhum dos teus filhos, fazendo-o passar pelo fogo; nem profanarás o nome de teu Deus. Eu sou o Senhor.
22 Thou schalt not be medlid with a man bi letcherie of womman, for it is abhomynacioun.
22 Não te deitarás com varão, como se fosse mulher; é abominação.
23 Thou schalt not do letcherie with ony beeste, nethir thou schalt be defoulid with it. A womman schal not ligge vnder a beeste, nether schal be medlid therwith, for it is greet synne.
23 Nem te deitarás com animal algum, contaminando-te com ele; nem a mulher se porá perante um animal, para ajuntar-se com ele; é confusão.
24 Be ye not defoulid in alle these thingis, in whiche alle `folkis, ether hethen men, ben defoulid, whiche folkis Y schal caste out bifor youre siyt,
24 Não vos contamineis com nenhuma dessas coisas, porque com todas elas se contaminaram as nações que eu expulso de diante de vós;
25 of whiche the lond is defoulid, of which lond Y schal vysyte the grete synnes, that it spewe out hise dwellers.
25 e, porquanto a terra está contaminada, eu visito sobre ela a sua iniqüidade, e a terra vomita os seus habitantes.
26 Kepe ye my lawful thingis and domes, that ye do not of alle these abhomynaciouns, as wel a man borun in the lond as a comelyng which is a pilgrym at you.
26 Vós, pois, guardareis os meus estatutos e os meus preceitos, e nenhuma dessas abominações fareis, nem o natural, nem o estrangeiro que peregrina entre vós
27 For the dwellers of the lond, that weren bifor you, diden alle these abhomynaciouns, and defouliden that lond.
27 {porque todas essas abominações cometeram os homens da terra, que nela estavam antes de vós, e a terra ficou contaminada};
28 Therfor be ye war, lest it caste out viliche also you in lijk manere, whanne ye han do lijk synnes, as it castide out vileche the folk, that was bifor you.
28 para que a terra não seja contaminada por vós e não vos vomite também a vós, como vomitou a nação que nela estava antes de vós.
29 Ech man that doith ony thing of these abhomynaciouns, schal perische fro the myddis of his puple.
29 Pois qualquer que cometer alguma dessas abominações, sim, aqueles que as cometerem serão extirpados do seu povo.
30 Kepe ye myn heestis; nyle ye do tho thingis, whiche thei that weren bifor you diden, and be ye not defoulid in tho; Y am youre Lord God.
30 Portanto guardareis o meu mandamento, de modo que não caiais em nenhum desses abomináveis costumes que antes de vós foram seguidos, e para que não vos contamineis com eles. Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.
