1 And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, Speke thou to the sones of Israel,
1 O Senhor Deus mandou Moisés
2 and thou schalt seie to hem, Y am youre Lord God;
2 dizer aos israelitas o seguinte: — Eu sou o
3 ye schulen not do by the custom of the lond of Egipt, in which ye dwelliden; ye schulen not do bi the custom of the cuntrei of Canaan, `to which Y schal brynge you yn, nethir ye schulen go in the lawful thingis of hem.
3 Não sigam os costumes do povo do Egito, onde vocês moravam, nem os costumes do povo de Canaã, a terra para onde eu os estou levando. Não vivam de acordo com as leis desses povos.
4 Ye schulen do my domes, and ye schulen kepe myn heestis, and ye schulen go in tho; Y am youre Lord God.
4 Pelo contrário, obedeçam às minhas leis e guardem os meus mandamentos. Eu sou o Senhor , o Deus de vocês.
5 Kepe ye my lawis and domes, whiche a man `schal do, and schal lyue in tho; Y am youre Lord God.
5 Se obedecerem às minhas leis e guardarem os meus mandamentos, vocês viverão. Eu sou o Senhor .
6 Ech man schal not neiy to the nyy womman of his blood, that he schewe `the filthe of hir; Y am the Lord.
6 O Senhor Deus deu as seguintes ordens para os homens de Israel: Não tenha relações sexuais com uma mulher que seja sua parenta.
7 Thou schalt not diskyuere the filthe of thi fadir and the filthe of thi modir; sche is thi modir, thou schalt not schewe hir filthe.
7 Não tenha relações com a sua mãe; isso seria uma vergonha para o seu pai e também para a sua mãe.
8 Thou schalt not vnhile the filthe of the wijf of thi fadir, for it is the filthe of thi fadir.
8 Não tenha relações com qualquer outra mulher que pertença ao seu pai.
9 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of thi sistir, of fadir `ether of modir, which sister is gendrid at hoome ether without forth.
9 Não tenha relações com a sua irmã, seja por parte de pai e de mãe ou somente por parte de pai; e não importa que ela tenha sido criada na mesma casa ou em outra.
10 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of the douyter of thi sone, ether of neece of thi douyter, for it is thi filthe.
10 Não tenha relações com a sua neta; isso seria uma vergonha para você.
11 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of the douyter of the wijf of thi fadir, which sche childide to thi fadir, and is thi sistir.
11 Não tenha relações com a sua irmã por parte somente de pai, pois ela é irmã mesmo. Não tenha relações com a sua tia, seja por parte de pai ou por parte de mãe.
12 Thou schalt not opene the filthe of the `sister of thi fadir, for sche is the fleisch of thi fadir.

13 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of the sistir of thi modir, for sche is the fleisch of thi modir.

14 Thou schalt not shewe the filthe of the brothir of thi fadir, nethir thou schalt neiye to his wijf, which is ioyned to thee bi affinyte.
14 Não tenha relações com a mulher do seu tio por parte de pai, pois ela é sua tia.
15 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of thi sones wijf, for sche is the wijf of thi sone, nether thou schalt diskiuere hir schenschip; and no man take his brotheris wijf.
15 Não tenha relações com a sua nora.
16 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of `the wijf of thi brother, for it is the filthe of thi brothir.
16 Não tenha relações com a sua cunhada; isso seria uma vergonha para o seu irmão.
17 Thou schalt not schewe the filthe of thi wijf, and of hir douyter; thou schalt not take the douytir of hir sone, and the douytir of hir douyter, that thou schewe hir schenschip; thei ben the fleisch of hir, and siche letcherie is incest.
17 Não tenha relações com a filha ou a neta de uma mulher com quem você já teve relações; é possível que ela seja sua parenta, e isso seria uma imoralidade.
18 Thou schalt not take `the sister of thi wijf, in to concubynage of hir, nethir thou schalt schewe `the filthe of hir, while thi wijf lyueth yit.
18 Não case com a sua cunhada, irmã da sua esposa, enquanto esta estiver viva. Isso criaria inimizade entre as duas irmãs.
19 Thou schalt not neiye to a womman that suffrith rennyng of blood of monethe, nethir thou schalt schewe hir filthe.
19 Não tenha relações com uma mulher durante a menstruação.
20 Thou schalt not do letcherie with `the wijf of thi neiybore, nether thou schalt be defoulid with medlyng of seed.
20 Não tenha relações com a mulher de outro homem; isso torna você impuro .
21 Thou schalt not yyue of thi seed, that it be offrid to the idol Moloch, nether thou schalt defoule the name of thi God; Y am the Lord.
21 Nenhum pai deverá entregar o filho ou a filha para servir o deus Moloque . Isso seria profanar o santo nome de Deus, o Senhor .
22 Thou schalt not be medlid with a man bi letcherie of womman, for it is abhomynacioun.
22 Nenhum homem deverá ter relações com outro homem; Deus detesta isso.
23 Thou schalt not do letcherie with ony beeste, nethir thou schalt be defoulid with it. A womman schal not ligge vnder a beeste, nether schal be medlid therwith, for it is greet synne.
23 Ninguém, homem ou mulher, deverá ter relações com um animal; isso é uma imoralidade, e a pessoa fica impura.
24 Be ye not defoulid in alle these thingis, in whiche alle `folkis, ether hethen men, ben defoulid, whiche folkis Y schal caste out bifor youre siyt,
24 E Deus disse ao povo de Israel: — Não façam nenhuma dessas coisas, pois vocês ficarão impuros, como ficaram impuros os povos que eu vou expulsar da terra que vai ser de vocês.
25 of whiche the lond is defoulid, of which lond Y schal vysyte the grete synnes, that it spewe out hise dwellers.
25 Os pecados daqueles povos fizeram com que a terra onde eles moravam ficasse impura; por isso eu castiguei aquela terra, e ela está expulsando os seus moradores.
26 Kepe ye my lawful thingis and domes, that ye do not of alle these abhomynaciouns, as wel a man borun in the lond as a comelyng which is a pilgrym at you.
26 Mas vocês todos, tanto os israelitas como os estrangeiros que vivem no meio de vocês, obedeçam às minhas leis e aos meus mandamentos e não cometam nenhuma dessas imoralidades.
27 For the dwellers of the lond, that weren bifor you, diden alle these abhomynaciouns, and defouliden that lond.
27 Pois foram esses os pecados que os homens que moravam naquela terra cometeram, e por isso ela ficou impura.
28 Therfor be ye war, lest it caste out viliche also you in lijk manere, whanne ye han do lijk synnes, as it castide out vileche the folk, that was bifor you.
28 Portanto, que não aconteça que vocês façam a terra ficar impura e que ela os expulse, como fez com os povos que moravam lá.
29 Ech man that doith ony thing of these abhomynaciouns, schal perische fro the myddis of his puple.
29 Quem cometer um desses pecados será expulso do meio do povo de Israel.
30 Kepe ye myn heestis; nyle ye do tho thingis, whiche thei that weren bifor you diden, and be ye not defoulid in tho; Y am youre Lord God.
30 Obedeçam a todos os meus mandamentos e não imitem os costumes imorais dos povos que moravam naquela terra antes de vocês. Não se tornem impuros. Eu sou o Senhor , o Deus de vocês.
