1 »To the minister of the Church in Ephesus write as follows:« `This is what He who holds the seven stars in the grasp of His right hand says–He who walks to and fro among the seven lampstands of gold.
1 Ao anjo da igreja de Éfeso, escreve: Estas coisas diz aquele que segura as sete estrelas em sua mão direita, o que anda no meio dos sete candelabros de ouro:
2 I know your doings and your toil and patient suffering. And I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, but have put to the test those who say that they themselves are Apostles but are not, and you have found them to be liars.
2 Eu conheço as tuas obras, e o teu trabalho, e a tua paciência, e como tu não podes suportar os que são maus, e tens provado os que dizem ser apóstolos e não o são, e descobriste que são mentirosos;
3 And you endure patiently and have borne burdens for My sake and have never grown weary.
3 e tens suportado, e tens paciência e por causa do meu nome trabalhaste e não desfaleceste.
4 Yet I have this against you–that you no longer love Me as you did at first.
4 Todavia, eu tenho algo contra ti, porque deixaste o teu primeiro amor.
5 Be mindful, therefore, of the height from which you have fallen. Repent at once, and act as you did at first, or else I will surely come and remove your lampstand out of its place–unless you repent.
5 Lembra-te, portanto, de onde tu caíste, e arrepende-te, e faz as primeiras obras; senão eu virei a ti rapidamente e removerei teu candelabro de seu lugar, se não te arrependeres.
6 Yet this you have in your favor: you hate the doings of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
6 Mas isto tu tens: Odeias os atos dos nicolaítas, que eu também odeio.
7 »`Let all who have ears give heed to what the Spirit is saying to the Churches. To him who overcomes I will give the privilege of eating the fruit of the Tree of Life, which is in the Paradise of God.'«
7 Aquele que tem ouvidos, ouça o que o Espírito diz às igrejas: Àquele que vencer eu darei de comer da árvore da vida, que está no meio do paraíso de Deus.
8 »To the minister of the Church at Smyrna write as follows:« `This is what the First and the Last says–He who died and has returned to life.
8 E ao anjo da igreja de Esmirna escreve: Estas coisas diz o primeiro e o último, o que estava morto, e está vivo:
9 Your sufferings I know, and your poverty –but you are rich– and the evil name given you by those who say that they themselves are Jews, and are not, but are Satan's synagogue.
9 Eu conheço as tuas obras, e a tribulação, e a pobreza (mas tu és rico), e eu conheço a blasfêmia dos que dizem que são judeus, e não o são, mas são a sinagoga de Satanás.
10 Dismiss your fears concerning all that you are about to suffer. I tell you that the Devil is about to throw some of you into prison that you may be put to the test, and for ten days you will have to endure persecution. Be faithful to the End, even if you have to die, and then I will give you the victor's Wreath of Life.
10 Não temas estas coisas que tu sofrerás; eis que o diabo lançará alguns de vós na prisão, para que sejais tentados; e tereis tribulação por dez dias. Sê fiel até a morte, e eu te darei a coroa da vida.
11 »`Let all who have ears give heed to what the Spirit is saying to the Churches. He who overcomes shall be in no way hurt by the Second Death.'«
11 Aquele que tem ouvidos, ouça o que o Espírito diz às igrejas: Aquele que vencer não será ferido pela segunda morte.
12 »To the minister of the Church at Pergamum write as follows:« `This is what He who has the sharp, two-edged sword says. I know where you dwell.
12 E ao anjo da igreja em Pérgamo escreve: Estas coisas diz aquele que tem a espada afiada de dois gumes:
13 Satan's throne is there; and yet you are true to Me, and did not deny your faith in Me, even in the days of Antipas My witness and faithful friend, who was put to death among you, in the place where Satan dwells.
13 Eu conheço as tuas obras, e onde tu habitas, onde Satanás está assentado; e tu reténs meu nome, e não negaste minha fé, mesmo naqueles dias em que Antipas foi meu mártir fiel, e foi morto entre vós, onde Satanás habita.
14 Yet I have a few things against you, because you have with you some that cling to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling-block in the way of the descendants of Israel–to eat what had been sacrificed to idols, and commit fornication.
14 Mas eu tenho umas poucas coisas contra ti, porque tens aí os que sustentam a doutrina de Balaão, que ensinava a Balaque a lançar uma pedra de tropeço diante dos filhos de Israel, para comerem coisas sacrificadas aos ídolos, e para cometerem fornicação.
15 So even you have some that cling in the same way to the teaching of the Nicolaitans.
15 Assim também tens os que sustentam a doutrina dos nicolaítas, a qual eu odeio.
16 Repent, at once; or else I will come to you quickly, and will make war upon them with the sword which is in My mouth.
16 Arrepende-te; senão eu virei a ti rapidamente, e lutarei contra eles com a espada da minha boca.
17 »`Let all who have ears give heed to what the Spirit is saying to the Churches. He who overcomes –to him I will give some of the hidden Manna, and a white stone; and– written upon the stone and known only to him who receives it– a new name.'«
17 Aquele que tem ouvidos, ouça o que o Espírito diz às igrejas: Ao que vencer eu darei de comer do maná escondido, e lhe darei uma pedra branca, e inscrito na pedra um novo nome, que nenhum homem conhece, senão aquele que o recebe.
18 »To the minister of the Church at Thyateira write as follows:« `This is what the Son of God says–He who has eyes like a flame of fire, and feet resembling silver-bronze.
18 E ao anjo da igreja de Tiatira escreve: Estas coisas diz o Filho de Deus, que tem seus olhos semelhantes a chama de fogo, e os seus pés são semelhantes ao bronze polido.
19 I know your doings, your love, your faith, your service, and your patient endurance; and that of late you have toiled harder than you did at first.
19 Eu conheço as tuas obras, e a caridade, e o serviço, e a fé, e a paciência, e que as tuas últimas obras são mais do que as primeiras.
20 Yet I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and by her teaching leads astray My servants, so that they commit fornication and eat what has been sacrificed to idols.
20 Porém, eu tenho umas poucas coisas contra ti, porque toleras aquela mulher Jezabel, que chama a si mesma de profetisa, a ensinar e a seduzir os meus servos a cometerem fornicação, e a comerem das coisas sacrificadas aos ídolos.
21 I have given her time to repent, but she is determined not to repent of her fornication.
21 E eu lhe dei tempo para se arrepender da sua fornicação; e ela não se arrependeu.
22 I tell you that I am about to cast her upon a bed of sickness, and I will severely afflict those who commit adultery with her, unless they repent of conduct such as hers.
22 Eis que eu vou jogá-la em uma cama, e aqueles que cometem adultério com ela em grande tribulação, a não ser que eles se arrependam de seus atos.
23 Her children too shall surely die; and all the Churches shall come to know that I am He who searches into men's inmost thoughts; and to each of you I will give a requital which shall be in accordance with what your conduct has been.
23 E eu matarei seus filhos com a morte; e todas as igrejas saberão que Eu Sou Ele que sonda os rins e os corações, e eu darei a cada um de vós segundo as vossas obras.
24 But to you, the rest of you in Thyateira, all who do not hold this teaching and are not the people who have learnt the »deep things,« as they call them (the deep things of Satan!) –to you I say that I lay no other burden on you.
24 Mas digo-vos, e aos demais em Tiatira, a todos que não têm esta doutrina, e que não têm conhecido as profundezas de Satanás, como eles falam: Eu não colocarei sobre vós nenhum outro fardo.
25 Only that which you already possess, cling to until I come.
25 Mas aquilo que vós tendes, retende-o até que eu venha.
26 »`And to him who overcomes and obeys My commands to the very end, I will give authority over the nations of the earth.
26 E ao que vencer e guardar as minhas obras até ao fim, a ele eu darei poder sobre as nações;
27 And he shall be their shepherd, ruling them with a rod of iron, just as earthenware jars are broken to pieces; and his power over them shall be like that which I Myself have received from My Father;«
27 e ele as governará com um cetro de ferro; como os vasos do oleiro elas serão quebradas em fragmentos, assim como eu recebi de meu Pai.
28 and I will give him the Morning Star.
28 E eu lhe darei a estrela da manhã.
29 Let all who have ears give heed to what the Spirit is saying to the Churches.'
29 Aquele que tem ouvidos, ouça o que o Espírito diz às igrejas.
