1 God, who in ancient days spoke to our forefathers in many distinct messages and by various methods through the Prophets,
1 Antigamente, por meio dos profetas , Deus falou muitas vezes e de muitas maneiras aos nossos antepassados ,
2 has at the end of these days spoken to us through a Son, who is the pre-destined Lord of the universe, and through whom He made the Ages.
2 mas nestes últimos tempos ele nos falou por meio do seu Filho. Foi ele quem Deus escolheu para possuir todas as coisas e foi por meio dele que Deus criou o Universo .
3 He brightly reflects God's glory and is the exact representation of His being, and upholds the universe by His all-powerful word. After securing man's purification from sin He took His seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
3 O Filho brilha com o brilho da glória de Deus e é a perfeita semelhança do próprio Deus. Ele sustenta o Universo com a sua palavra poderosa. E, depois de ter purificado os seres humanos dos seus pecados, sentou-se no céu, do lado direito de Deus, o Todo-Poderoso.
4 having become as far superior to the angels as the Name He possesses by inheritance is more excellent than theirs.
4 Assim Deus fez com que o Filho fosse superior aos anjos e lhe deu um nome que é superior ao nome deles.
5 For to which of the angels did God ever say, <FO>"My Son art Thou: I have this day become Thy Father;"<Fo> and again, <FO>"I will be a Father to Him, and He shall be My Son"?<Fo>
5 Pois Deus nunca disse a nenhum dos seus anjos: “Você é o meu Filho; hoje eu me tornei o seu Pai.” E também não disse a respeito de nenhum anjo: “Eu serei o Pai dele, e ele será o meu Filho.”
6 But speaking of the time when He once more brings His Firstborn into the world, He says, <FO>"And let all God's angels worship Him."<Fo>
6 Porém, quando Deus enviou ao mundo o seu primeiro Filho, ele disse: “Que todos os anjos de Deus o adorem.”
7 Moreover of the angels He says, <FO>"He changes His angels into winds, and His ministering servants into a flame of fire."<Fo>
7 A respeito dos anjos Deus disse: “Deus faz com que os seus anjos se tornem ventos e os seus servidores, chamas de fogo.”
8 But of His Son, He says, <FO>"Thy throne, O God, is for ever and for ever, and the sceptre of Thy Kingdom is a sceptre of absolute justice.
8 Mas a respeito do Filho ele disse: “O teu para todo o sempre. Tu governarás o teu povo com justiça.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Thy God, has anointed Thee with the oil of gladness beyond Thy companions."<Fo>
9 Tu amas o bem e odeias o mal. Foi por isso que Deus, o teu Deus, te escolheu e te deu a alegria de receber uma honra muito maior do que a dos teus companheiros.”
10 It is also of His Son that God says, <FO>"Thou, O Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Thy hands.
10 E as Escrituras também dizem: “Tu, Senhor, no começo criaste a terra e, com as tuas próprias mãos, fizeste os céus.
11 The heavens will perish, but Thou remainest; and they will all grow old like a garment,
11 A terra e o céu vão acabar, mas tu viverás para sempre. Eles ficarão velhos como roupa;
12 and, as though they were a mantle Thou wilt roll them up; yes, like a garment, and they will undergo change. But Thou art the same, and Thy years will never come to an end."<Fo>
12 tu os dobrarás como se dobra um casaco, e serão trocados como se troca de roupa. Mas tu és sempre o mesmo, e a tua vida não tem fim.”
13 To which of the angels has He ever said, <FO>"Sit at My right hand till I make Thy foes a footstool for Thy feet"?<Fo>
13 Deus nunca disse a nenhum dos seus anjos: “Sente-se do meu lado direito , até que eu ponha os seus inimigos como estrado debaixo dos seus pés.”
14 Are not all angels spirits that serve Him--whom He sends out to render service for the benefit of those who, before long, will inherit salvation?
14 Então, o que são os anjos? Todos eles são espíritos que servem a Deus, os quais ele envia para ajudar os que vão receber a salvação.
