1 God, who in ancient days spoke to our forefathers in many distinct messages and by various methods through the Prophets,
1 Antigamente, Deus falou, muitas vezes e de muitas maneiras, aos pais, pelos profetas,
2 has at the end of these days spoken to us through a Son, who is the pre-destined Lord of the universe, and through whom He made the Ages.

3 He brightly reflects God's glory and is the exact representation of His being, and upholds the universe by His all-powerful word. After securing man's purification from sin He took His seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
3 O Filho, que é o resplendor da glória de Deus e a expressão exata do seu Ser, sustentando todas as coisas pela sua palavra poderosa, depois de ter feito a purificação dos pecados, assentou-se à direita da Majestade, nas alturas,
4 having become as far superior to the angels as the Name He possesses by inheritance is more excellent than theirs.
4 tendo-se tornado tão superior aos anjos quanto herdou mais excelente nome do que eles.
5 For to which of the angels did God ever say, <FO>"My Son art Thou: I have this day become Thy Father;"<Fo> and again, <FO>"I will be a Father to Him, and He shall be My Son"?<Fo>
5 Pois a qual dos anjos Deus em algum momento disse: “Você é meu Filho, hoje eu gerei você”? E, outra vez: “Eu lhe serei Pai, e ele me será Filho”?
6 But speaking of the time when He once more brings His Firstborn into the world, He says, <FO>"And let all God's angels worship Him."<Fo>
6 E, novamente, ao introduzir o Primogênito no mundo, diz: “E todos os anjos de Deus o adorem.”
7 Moreover of the angels He says, <FO>"He changes His angels into winds, and His ministering servants into a flame of fire."<Fo>
7 Ainda, quanto aos anjos, diz: “Aquele que a seus anjos faz ventos, e a seus ministros, labareda de fogo.”
8 But of His Son, He says, <FO>"Thy throne, O God, is for ever and for ever, and the sceptre of Thy Kingdom is a sceptre of absolute justice.
8 Mas, a respeito do Filho, diz: “O teu trono, ó Deus, é para todo o sempre; cetro de justiça é o cetro do teu reino.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Thy God, has anointed Thee with the oil of gladness beyond Thy companions."<Fo>
9 Amaste a justiça e odiaste a iniquidade; por isso, Deus, o teu Deus, te ungiu com o óleo de alegria como a nenhum dos teus companheiros.”
10 It is also of His Son that God says, <FO>"Thou, O Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Thy hands.
10 Diz ainda: “No princípio, Senhor, lançaste os fundamentos da terra, e os céus são obra das tuas mãos.
11 The heavens will perish, but Thou remainest; and they will all grow old like a garment,
11 Eles perecerão, mas tu permaneces; todos eles envelhecerão como veste;
12 and, as though they were a mantle Thou wilt roll them up; yes, like a garment, and they will undergo change. But Thou art the same, and Thy years will never come to an end."<Fo>
12 como manto tu os enrolarás, e, como roupas, serão igualmente mudados. Tu, porém, és o mesmo, e os teus anos jamais terão fim.”
13 To which of the angels has He ever said, <FO>"Sit at My right hand till I make Thy foes a footstool for Thy feet"?<Fo>
13 Ora, a qual dos anjos Deus em algum momento disse: “Sente-se à minha direita, até que eu ponha os seus inimigos por estrado dos seus pés”?
14 Are not all angels spirits that serve Him--whom He sends out to render service for the benefit of those who, before long, will inherit salvation?
14 Não são todos eles espíritos ministradores, enviados para serviço a favor dos que hão de herdar a salvação?
