1 Yahweh, remember David and all his affliction,
1 Canção gradual. SENHOR, lembra de Davi, e de todas as suas aflições.
2 how he swore to Yahweh, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
2 Como ele jurou ao SENHOR, e jurou ao poderoso Deus de Jacó;
3 “Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;
3 certamente eu não entrarei no tabernáculo da minha casa, nem subirei à minha cama;
4 I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids,
4 não darei sono aos meus olhos, ou cochilo às minhas pálpebras;
5 until I find out a place for Yahweh, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
5 até que eu encontre um lugar para o SENHOR, uma habitação para o poderoso Deus de Jacó.
6 Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah. We found it in the field of Jaar.
6 Eis que ouvimos falar dela em Efrata; e a encontramos nos campos do bosque.
7 “We will go into his dwelling place. We will worship at his footstool.”
7 Entraremos nos seus tabernáculos; adoraremos ao seu escabelo.
8 Arise, Yahweh, into your resting place, you, and the ark of your strength.
8 Levanta-te, ó SENHOR, de teu descanso, tu e a arca da tua força.
9 Let your priests be clothed with righteousness. Let your saints shout for joy!
9 Que os teus sacerdotes vistam-se de justiça; que os teus santos gritem de alegria.
10 For your servant David’s sake, don’t turn away the face of your anointed one.
10 Por causa do teu servo Davi, não faças virar a face do teu ungido.
11 Yahweh has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: “I will set the fruit of your body on your throne.
11 O SENHOR jurou em verdade a Davi, ele não se afastará disso; do fruto do teu corpo porei sobre o teu trono.
12 If your children will keep my covenant, my testimony that I will teach them, their children also will sit on your throne forever more.”
12 Se os teus filhos guardarem o meu pacto, e o meu testemunho, que eu lhes ensinarei, os seus filhos também se assentarão sobre o teu trono para sempre.
13 For Yahweh has chosen Zion. He has desired it for his habitation.
13 Pois o SENHOR escolheu a Sião; desejou-a para a sua habitação.
14 “This is my resting place forever. I will live here, for I have desired it.
14 Este é o meu repouso para sempre; aqui eu habitarei, pois o desejei.
15 I will abundantly bless her provision. I will satisfy her poor with bread.
15 Abundantemente abençoarei sua provisão; satisfarei os seus pobres com pão.
16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation. Her saints will shout aloud for joy.
16 Eu também vestirei os seus sacerdotes de salvação, e os seus santos gritarão alto de alegria.
17 I will make the horn of David to bud there. I have ordained a lamp for my anointed.
17 Ali farei o chifre de Davi brotar; eu ordenei uma lâmpada para o meu ungido.
18 I will clothe his enemies with shame, but on himself, his crown will shine.”
18 Seus inimigos vestirei de vergonha; mas sobre ele a sua coroa florescerá.
