¹ Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.

² as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,

³ if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.

⁵ yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

⁶ Ka to̱ ro̱ bo̱ Shir ze̱e̱ u̱n Ma-to̱ u̱n wu̱ à:

⁶ Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.

⁷ To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,

⁸ Ma-to̱ Shir ze̱e̱g,

⁸ and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.

⁹ Amba no̱, Shir u̱n daag no̱ hun-ne̱ kashi, bu̱u̱g-de yan-Co̱w u̱n ko̱n-se Shir, hun-ne̱ ye̱ ba m-ku̱ko̱p, hun-ne̱ ye̱ Shir, remen no̱ nomoté̱ wu̱ u̱r-bo̱ngo̱n. Wu̱ rwu̱ntu̱tu̱ no̱ be-de o-comb, wu̱ hantu̱ no̱ be-de m-cu̱cas.

⁹ But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;

¹⁰ N-ga a ro hwo̱o̱g no̱ be-de u̱n hun-ne̱ ye̱ Shir á, amba m-mo̱ka no̱ ro̱ hun-ne̱ ye̱ Shir. N-ga Shir ro m-ho̱ge̱ u̱n 'wo̱n-u̱r no̱ á, amba m-mo̱ka Shir o̱ ho̱ge̱ u̱n 'wo̱n-u̱r no̱.

¹⁰ who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.

¹¹ No̱ yan-yen-de ne̱, me̱ no̱ m-kye̱we̱s, u̱ntu̱n yan-dak-o ho̱r-o̱, hamat-ne̱ u̱n ka dak-o̱, gin no̱ ka rem-u̱s yo̱-se, se ro̱ u̱r-gu̱n u̱n ho̱o̱g-m no̱ à.

¹¹ Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

¹² having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.

¹³ No̱m no̱ o-do̱ro̱tte̱ rem Wan-Ko̱yan u̱n ko̱ o̱ ke karamsa-o̱ a ya'ase̱ remen hun-ne̱, o̱ rwu̱u̱ne̱ be-de u̱n gwo̱mo-to̱ u̱n ko-gwo̱mo à.

¹⁵ Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;

¹⁶ She'et no̱ sasa, amba myet u̱n kaane̱ ne̱, no̱ hyan no̱ ro̱ sasa no̱ cu̱w nom u̱n rii yo̱-yo á. U̱n su̱ge̱-de u̱n kaane̱ ma, she'et no̱ u̱ntu̱n yan-gu̱w-mo̱ Shir.

¹⁶ as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.

¹⁷ 'Ya no̱ ko̱wan m-se̱k. Komo no̱ kute̱ hun-ne̱ ye̱ Shir kashi m-was. Gye̱r no̱ Shir, 'ya no̱ ko-gwo̱mo u̱t-go̱s.

¹⁷ Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.

¹⁸ Gu̱w-ne̱, se̱ no̱ no̱me̱ yan-hur-u̱t no̱ o-do̱ro̱tte̱ no̱ 'ye ye̱ m-se̱k ko̱yanda. No̱m no̱ yo ka, ba be-de u̱n ye̱ ro̱ m-ho̱ge̱ u̱r-'wo̱n u̱n gwu̱gwe̱r-mo̱ u̱r-hi ne̱ cot á, amba kap u̱n yan-me̱n-u̱t jaas-to̱ ne̱.

¹⁸ Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.

¹⁹ Shir ro̱ gwu̱gwu̱ u̱n no̱ ne̱ da-o̱ no̱ no̱me̱ rii-yo no̱ nape̱ yo ro̱ hond hond, komo no̱ geeg u̱t-me̱n u̱n 'mo̱ u̱r-hur ne̱ u̱n ko̱o̱b-de a no̱ m-'ya ba no̱ u̱n no̱m rii à.

¹⁹ For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.

²⁰ A 'ye no̱ u̱r-ko̱o̱b remen no̱ no̱mo̱g rii-yo ba u̱r-bon, no̱ kum o̱ ka rii á. Amba Shir a 'ye no̱ u̱r-ho̱, u̱rege̱ no̱ swo̱o̱g u̱r-ko̱o̱b u̱n 'mo̱ u̱r-hur ne̱ remen no̱ no̱mo̱g rii-yo u̱r-bon, remen kaane̱ Shir co̱ne̱.

²⁰ For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.

²¹ U̱n kaane̱, Shir agu̱ no̱ remen Kiristi swo̱o̱g u̱r-ko̱o̱b rem no̱. Wu̱ yaksu̱tu̱ no̱ m-sha, depete̱ no̱ do̱re̱ bu̱-yo u̱n wu̱.

²¹ For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:

²² “Kiristi no̱m u̱r-ba'as á,

²² who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;

²³ Ko̱ de nomte̱ a pyapu̱rtu̱ wu̱ à, wu̱ muut u̱t-re̱e̱b á. Komo da-o̱ wu̱ swo̱ u̱r-ko̱o̱b à, wu̱ waksu̱ ye̱ u̱t-ma á. U̱n su̱ge̱-de u̱n kaane̱ ma, wu̱ she̱re̱g be-de Shir, wu̱ nape̱ piish u̱t-ma à.

²³ who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;

²⁴ Kiristi sawag nu̱-se u̱n ba'as-u̱t na u̱n wu̱r-o̱ u̱n wu̱. A kamag wu̱ o-kan remen a yagu̱té̱ no̱m u̱r-ba'as komo a cirit kashi u̱r-she'et. Shir taasu̱ ka hoog-mo̱ mo̱ u̱n ba'as-u̱t no̱ remen hoog-m Ye̱so.

²⁴ who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.

²⁵ No̱ ro e̱gu̱ssu̱te̱ u̱ntu̱n ye̱ge̱-ca, amba m-mo̱ka no̱ mu̱u̱nte̱ be-de u̱n wan-Ruut-m no̱ u̱n wan-Gu̱t-de u̱n ho̱o̱g-m no̱ ne̱.

²⁵ For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
