1 For the Chief Musician; [set to] Al-tashheth. [A Psalm] of David. Michtam. Do you{+} indeed in silence speak righteousness? Do you{+} judge uprightly, O you{+} sons of man?
1 Será que vocês, juízes, tomam decisões justas? Julgam com retidão os filhos dos homens?
2 No, in heart you{+} work wickedness; You{+} weigh out the violence of your{+} hands in the earth.
2 Longe disso! Pelo contrário, no íntimo vocês planejam iniquidades e distribuem na terra a violência de suas mãos.
3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: They go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies.
3 Os ímpios se desviam desde a sua concepção; nascem e já se desencaminham, proferindo mentiras.
4 Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: [They are] like the deaf cobra that stops her ear,
4 Têm veneno semelhante ao veneno da serpente; são como a víbora surda, que tapa os ouvidos,
5 Which does not harken to the voice of charmers Using magic words with mastery.
5 para não ouvir a voz dos encantadores, do mais fascinante em encantamentos.
6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: Break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Yahweh.
6 Ó Deus, quebra-lhes os dentes na boca; arranca, as presas dos leõezinhos.
7 Let them melt away as water that runs apace: When he aims his arrows, let them be as though they were cut off.
7 Que eles desapareçam como as águas que se escoam; ao dispararem flechas, que elas se despedacem.
8 [Let them be] as a snail which melts and passes away, [Like] the untimely birth of a woman, that has not seen the sun.
8 Sejam como a lesma, que se dilui ao passar; como o aborto de mulher, que nunca vejam a luz do sol.
9 Before your{+} pots can feel the thorns, He will take them away with a whirlwind, the green and the burning alike.
9 Como espinheiros, antes que as panelas de vocês sintam deles o calor, tanto os verdes como os que estão em brasa, serão arrebatados como por um redemoinho.
10 The righteous will rejoice when he sees the vengeance: He will wash his feet in the blood of the wicked;
10 Os justos se alegrarão ao verem a vingança; banharão os pés no sangue dos ímpios.
11 So that man will say, Truly there is a reward for the righteous: Truly there is a God who judges in the earth.
11 Então se dirá: “Na verdade, há recompensa para os justos; de fato há um Deus que julga na terra.”
