¹ A Psalm of David. I will sing of loving-kindness and justice: To you, O Yahweh, I will sing praises.

¹ Cantarei o teu amor e a tua justiça, S enhor ; com cânticos te louvarei.

² I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way: Oh when will you come to me? I will walk inside my house with a perfect heart.

² Buscarei viver de modo inculpável; quando virás me ajudar? Viverei com integridade em minha própria casa.

³ I will set no base thing before my eyes: I hate the work of those who turn aside; It will not stick to me.

³ Não olharei para coisa alguma que seja má e vulgar. Odeio todos que agem de forma desonesta; não terei nada a ver com eles.

⁴ A perverse heart will depart from me: I will know no evil thing.

⁴ Rejeitarei ideias perversas e me manterei afastado de todo mal.

⁵ Whoever secretly slanders his fellow man, I will destroy him: I will not allow him who has a high look and a proud heart.

⁵ Não tolerarei quem difama seu próximo, não suportarei presunção nem orgulho.

⁶ My eyes will be on the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: He who walks in a perfect way, he will minister to me.

⁷ He who works deceit will not dwell inside my house: He who speaks falsehood will not be established before my eyes.
