1 And the whole congregation of the sons of Israel assembled themselves together at Shiloh, and caused the tent of meeting to stay there: and the land was subdued before them.
1 Reuniu-se toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel em Siló, e ali armaram a tenda da congregação; e a terra estava sujeita diante deles.
2 And there remained among the sons of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet divided their inheritance.
2 Dentre os filhos de Israel ficaram sete tribos que ainda não tinham repartido a sua herança.
3 And Joshua said to the sons of Israel, How long are you{+} slack to go in to possess the land, which Yahweh, the God of your{+} fathers, has given you{+}?
3 Disse Josué aos filhos de Israel: Até quando sereis remissos em passardes para possuir a terra que o Senhor , Deus de vossos pais, vos deu?
4 Appoint for yourselves three men of each tribe: and I will send them, and they will arise, and walk through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance; and they will come to me.
4 De cada tribo escolhei três homens, para que eu os envie, eles se disponham, e corram a terra, e façam dela um gráfico relativamente à herança das tribos, e se tornem a mim.
5 And they will divide it into seven portions: Judah will remain in his border on the south, and the house of Joseph will remain in their border on the north.
5 Dividirão a terra em sete partes: Judá ficará no seu território, ao sul, e a casa de José, no seu, ao norte.
6 And you{+} will describe the land into seven portions, and bring [the description] here to me; and I will cast lots for you{+} here before Yahweh our God.
6 Em sete partes fareis o gráfico da terra e mo trareis a mim, para que eu aqui vos lance as sortes perante o Senhor , nosso Deus.
7 For the Levites have no portion among you{+}; for the priesthood of Yahweh is their inheritance: and Gad and Reuben and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses the slave of Yahweh gave them.
7 Porquanto os levitas não têm parte entre vós, pois o sacerdócio do Senhor é a sua parte. Gade, e Rúben, e a meia tribo de Manassés já haviam recebido a sua herança dalém do Jordão, para o oriente, a qual lhes deu Moisés, servo do Senhor .
8 And the men arose, and went: and Joshua charged those who went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come again to me; and I will cast lots for you{+} here before Yahweh in Shiloh.
8 Dispuseram-se, pois, aqueles homens e se foram, e Josué deu ordem aos que iam levantar o gráfico da terra, dizendo: Ide, correi a terra, levantai-lhe o gráfico e tornai a mim; aqui vos lançarei as sortes perante o Senhor , em Siló.
9 And the men went and passed through the land, and described it by cities into seven portions in a book; and they came to Joshua to the camp at Shiloh.
9 Foram, pois, os homens, passaram pela terra, levantaram dela o gráfico, cidade por cidade, em sete partes, num livro, e voltaram a Josué, ao arraial em Siló.
10 And Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before Yahweh: and there Joshua divided the land to the sons of Israel according to their divisions.
10 Então, Josué lhes lançou as sortes em Siló, perante o Senhor ; e ali repartiu Josué a terra, segundo as suas divisões, aos filhos de Israel.
11 And the lot of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin came up according to their families: and the border of their lot went out between the sons of Judah and the sons of Joseph.
11 Saiu a sorte da tribo dos filhos de Benjamim, segundo as suas famílias; e o território da sua sorte caiu entre os filhos de Judá e os filhos de José.
12 And their border on the north quarter was from the Jordan; and the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north, and went up through the hill-country westward; and the goings out of it were at the wilderness of Beth-aven.
12 O seu limite foi para o lado norte desde o Jordão; subia ao lado de Jericó, para o norte, e subia pela montanha, para o ocidente, para terminar no deserto de Bete-Áven.
13 And the border passed along from there to Luz, to the side of Luz (the same is Beth-el), southward; and the border went down to Ataroth-orech, by the mountain that lies on the south of Beth-horon the nether.
13 E dali passava o limite a Luz, ao lado de Luz (que é Betel), para o sul; descia a Atarote-Adar, ao pé do monte que está do lado sul de Bete-Horom de baixo.
14 And the border extended [from there], and turned about on the west quarter southward, from the mountain that lies before Beth-horon southward; and the goings out of it were at Kiriath-baal (the same is Kiriath-jearim), a city of the sons of Judah: this was the west quarter.
14 Seguia o limite, e tornava ao lado ocidental, para o sul do monte que está defronte de Bete-Horom, para o sul, e terminava em Quiriate-Baal (que é Quiriate-Jearim), cidade dos filhos de Judá; este era o lado ocidental.
15 And the south quarter was from the uttermost part of Kiriath-jearim; and the border went out toward Iyyim, and went out to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah;
15 O lado do sul começava na extremidade oriental de Quiriate-Jearim e seguia até à fonte das águas de Neftoa;
16 and the border went down to the uttermost part of the mountain that lies before the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is in the valley of Rephaim northward; and it went down to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite southward, and went down to En-rogel;
16 descia o limite até à extremidade do monte que está defronte do vale do Filho de Hinom, ao norte do vale dos Refains, e descia pelo vale de Hinom do lado dos jebuseus, para o sul; e baixava a En-Rogel;
17 and it extended northward, and went out at En-shemesh, and went out to Geliloth, which is across from the ascent of Adummim; and it went down to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben;
17 volvia-se para o norte, chegava a En-Semes, de onde passava para Gelilote, que está defronte da subida de Adumim, e descia à pedra de Boã, filho de Rúben;
18 and it passed along to the side across from the Arabah northward, and went down to the Arabah;
18 passava pela vertente norte, defronte da planície, e descia à planície.
19 and the border passed along to the side of Beth-hoglah northward; and the goings out of the border were at the north bay of the Salt Sea, at the south end of the Jordan: this was the south border.
19 Depois, passava o limite até ao lado de Bete-Hogla, para o norte, para terminar na baía do mar Salgado, na desembocadura do Jordão, ao sul; este era o limite do sul.
20 And the Jordan was the border of it on the east quarter. This was the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, by its borders round about, according to their families.
20 Do lado oriental, o Jordão era o seu limite; esta era a herança dos filhos de Benjamim nos seus limites em redor, segundo as suas famílias.
21 Now the cities of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, and Beth-hoglah, and Emek-keziz,
21 As cidades da tribo dos filhos de Benjamim, segundo as suas famílias, eram: Jericó, Bete-Hogla, Emeque-Quesis,
22 and Beth-arabah, and Zemaraim, and Beth-el,
22 Bete-Arabá, Zemaraim, Betel,
23 and Avvim, and Parah, and Ophrah,
23 Avim, Pará, Ofra,
24 and Chephar-ammoni, and Ophni, and Geba; twelve cities with their villages:
24 Quefar-Amonai, Ofni e Gaba; ao todo, doze cidades com suas aldeias.
25 Gibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,
25 Gibeão, Ramá, Beerote,
26 and Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,
26 Mispa, Cefira, Mosa,
27 and Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah,
27 Requém, Irpeel, Tarala,
28 and Zelah, Eleph, and Jebusi, that is Jerusalem, Gibeath, [and] Kiriath-jearim; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin according to their families.
28 Zela, Elefe, Jebus (esta é Jerusalém), Gibeá e Quiriate; ao todo, catorze cidades com suas aldeias; esta era a herança dos filhos de Benjamim, segundo as suas famílias.
