Isaías 57
Updated Bible Version (UPDV) vs NVI
1 The righteous perishes, and no man lays it to heart; and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil [to come].
1 O justo perece, e ninguém pondera sobre isso em seu coração; homens piedosos são tirados, e ninguém entende que os justos são tirados para serem poupados do mal.
2 He enters into peace; they rest in their beds, each one who walks in his uprightness.
2 Aqueles que andam retamente entrarão na paz; acharão descanso na morte.
3 But draw near here, you{+} sons of the psychic, the seed of the adulterer and the prostitute.
3 "Mas vocês, aproximem-se, vocês, filhos de adivinhas, vocês, prole de adúlteros e prostitutas!
4 Against whom do you{+} sport yourselves? Against whom do you{+} make a wide mouth, and put out the tongue? Are you{+} not children of transgression, a seed of falsehood,
4 De quem vocês estão zombando? De quem fazem pouco caso? E para quem mostram a língua? Não são vocês uma ninhada de rebeldes, uma prole de mentirosos?
5 you{+} who inflame yourselves among the oaks, under every green tree; who slay the children in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks?
5 Vocês ardem de desejo entre os carvalhos e debaixo de toda árvore frondosa; vocês sacrificam seus filhos nos vales e debaixo de penhascos salientes.
6 Among the smooth [stones] of the valley is your portion; they, they are your lot; even to them you have poured a drink-offering, you have offered an oblation. Shall I be appeased for these things?
6 Os ídolos entre as pedras lisas dos vales são a sua porção; são a sua parte. Isso mesmo! Para eles você derramou ofertas de bebidas e apresentou ofertas de cereal. Poderei eu contentar-me com isso?
7 On a high and lofty mountain you have set your bed; there also you went up to offer sacrifice.
7 Você fez o leito numa colina alta e soberba; ali você subiu para oferecer sacrifícios.
8 And behind the doors and the posts you have set up your memorial: for you have uncovered [yourself] to other than me, and have gone up; you have enlarged your bed, and you made a covenant with them: you have loved their bed, you have looked at the hand.
8 Atrás de suas portas e dos seus batentes você pôs os seus símbolos pagãos. Ao me abandonar, você descobriu seu leito, subiu nele e o deixou escancarado; fez acordo com aqueles cujas camas você ama, e dos quais contemplou a nudez.
9 And you went to the king with oil, and increased your perfumes, and sent your ambassadors far off, and debased yourself even to Sheol.
9 Você foi até Moloque com azeite de oliva e multiplicou os seus perfumes. Você enviou seus embaixadores a lugares distantes; você desceu ao fundo do poço!
10 You were wearied with the length of your way; yet you didn't say, It is in vain: you found a quickening of your strength; therefore you were not faint.
10 Você ficou exausta com todos os seus caminhos, mas não quis dizer: "Não há esperança! " Você recuperou as forças, e por isso não esmoreceu.
11 And of whom have you been afraid and in fear, that you lie, and haven't remembered me, nor laid it to your heart? Haven't I held my peace even of long time, and you don't fear me?
11 "De quem você teve tanto medo e tremor, a ponto de ser falsa comigo, não se lembrar de mim e não ponderar isso em seu coração? Não será por que há muito estou calado que você não me teme?
12 I will declare your righteousness; and as for your works, they will not profit you.
12 Sua retidão e sua justiça exporei, e elas não a beneficiarão.
13 When you cry, let those who you have gathered deliver you; but the wind will take them, a breath will carry them all away: but he who takes refuge in me will possess the land, and will inherit my holy mountain.
13 Quando você clamar por ajuda, que a sua coleção de ídolos a salve! O vento levará todos eles, um simples sopro os arrebatará. Mas o homem que faz de mim o seu refúgio receberá a terra por herança e possuirá o meu santo monte. "
14 And he will say, Cast{+} up, cast{+} up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling-block out of the way of my people.
14 E se dirá: "Aterrem, aterrem, preparem o caminho! Tirem os obstáculos do caminho do meu povo".
15 For thus says the high and lofty One who stays eternally, whose name is Holy: I stay in the high and holy place, and with him who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.
15 Pois assim diz o Alto e Sublime, que vive para sempre, e cujo nome é santo: "Habito num lugar alto e santo, mas habito também com o contrito e humilde de espírito, para dar novo ânimo ao espírito do humilde e novo alento ao coração do contrito.
16 For I will not contend forever, neither will I always be angry; for the spirit would faint before me, and the souls who I have made.
16 Não farei litígio para sempre, nem permanecerei irado, porque, se não, o espírito do homem esmoreceria diante de mim, bem como o sopro do homem que eu criei!
17 For the iniquity of his covetousness I was angry, and struck him; I hid [my face] and was angry; and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.
17 Por causa da sua cobiça pervesa fiquei indignado e o feri; fiquei irado e escondi o meu rosto. Mas ele continuou extraviado, seguindo os caminhos que escolheu.
18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.
18 Eu vi os seus caminhos, mas vou curá-lo; eu o guiarei e tornarei a dar-lhe consolo,
19 I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace, to him who is far off and to him who is near, says Yahweh; and I will heal him.
19 criando louvor nos lábios dos pranteadores de Israel. Paz, paz, aos de longe e aos de perto", diz o Senhor. "Quanto a ele, eu o curarei. "
20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it can't rest, and its waters cast up mire and dirt.
20 Mas os ímpios são como o mar agitado, incapaz de sossegar e cujas águas expelem lama e lodo.
21 There is no peace, says my God, to the wicked.
21 "Para os ímpios não há paz", diz o meu Deus.
