1 Then Yahweh said to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus says Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
1 Depois o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Vai a Faraó, e dize-lhe: Assim diz o SENHOR Deus dos hebreus: Deixa ir o meu povo, para que me sirva.
2 For if you refuse to let them go, and will still hold them,
2 Porque se recusares deixá-los ir, e ainda por força os detiveres,
3 look, the hand of Yahweh is on your cattle which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks: [there will be] a very grievous pestilence.
3 Eis que a mão do Senhor será sobre teu gado, que está no campo, sobre os cavalos, sobre os jumentos, sobre os camelos, sobre os bois, e sobre as ovelhas, com pestilência gravíssima.
4 And Yahweh will make a distinction between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt; and nothing will die of all that belongs to the sons of Israel.
4 E o Senhor fará separação entre o gado dos israelitas e o gado dos egípcios, para que nada morra de tudo o que for dos filhos de Israel.
5 And Yahweh appointed a set time, saying, Tomorrow Yahweh will do this thing in the land.
5 E o Senhor assinalou certo tempo, dizendo: Amanhã fará o Senhor esta coisa na terra.
6 And Yahweh did that thing on the next day; and all the cattle of Egypt died; but of the cattle of the sons of Israel not one died.
6 E o Senhor fez isso no dia seguinte, e todo o gado dos egípcios morreu; porém do gado dos filhos de Israel não morreu nenhum.
7 And Pharaoh sent and saw that there wasn't so much as one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he did not let the people go.
7 E Faraó enviou a ver, e eis que do gado de Israel não morrera nenhum; porém o coração de Faraó se agravou, e não deixou ir o povo.
8 And Yahweh said to Moses and to Aaron, Take to yourselves handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
8 Então disse o Senhor a Moisés e a Arão: Tomai vossas mãos cheias de cinza do forno, e Moisés a espalhe para o céu diante dos olhos de Faraó;
9 And it will become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and will be a boil breaking forth with sores on man and on beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
9 E tornar-se-á em pó miúdo sobre toda a terra do Egito, e se tornará em sarna, que arrebente em úlceras, nos homens e no gado, por toda a terra do Egito.
10 And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with sores on man and on beast.
10 E eles tomaram a cinza do forno, e puseram-se diante de Faraó, e Moisés a espalhou para o céu; e tornou-se em sarna, que arrebentava em úlceras nos homens e no gado;
11 And the sacred scholars could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were on the sacred scholars, and on all the Egyptians.
11 De maneira que os magos não podiam parar diante de Moisés, por causa da sarna; porque havia sarna nos magos, e em todos os egípcios.
12 And Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he didn't listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken to Moses.
12 Porém o Senhor endureceu o coração de Faraó, e não os ouviu, como o Senhor tinha dito a Moisés.
13 And Yahweh said to Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say to him, Thus says Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
13 Então disse o Senhor a Moisés: Levanta-te pela manhã cedo, e põe-te diante de Faraó, e dize-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor Deus dos hebreus: Deixa ir o meu povo, para que me sirva;
14 For this time I will send all my plagues on your heart, and on your slaves, and on your people; that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.
14 Porque esta vez enviarei todas as minhas pragas sobre o teu coração, e sobre os teus servos, e sobre o teu povo, para que saibas que não há outro como eu em toda a terra.
15 For now I have put forth my hand, and have struck you and your people with pestilence, and you have been cut off from the earth:
15 Porque agora tenho estendido minha mão, para te ferir a ti e ao teu povo com pestilência, e para que sejas destruído da terra;
16 but in deed for this very cause I have made you to stand, to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.
16 Mas, deveras, para isto te mantive, para mostrar meu poder em ti, e para que o meu nome seja anunciado em toda a terra.
17 You still exalt yourself against my people, that you will not let them go.
17 Tu ainda te exaltas contra o meu povo, para não o deixar ir?
18 Look, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.
18 Eis que amanhã por este tempo farei chover saraiva mui grave, qual nunca houve no Egito, desde o dia em que foi fundado até agora.
19 Now therefore send, hurry in your cattle and all that you have in the field; [for] all of man and beast that will be found in the field, and will not be brought home, the hail will come down on them, and they will die.
19 Agora, pois, envia, recolhe o teu gado, e tudo o que tens no campo; todo o homem e animal, que for achado no campo, e não for recolhido à casa, a saraiva cairá sobre eles, e morrerão.
20 He who feared the word of Yahweh among the slaves of Pharaoh made his slaves and his cattle flee into the houses.
20 Quem dos servos de Faraó temia a palavra do Senhor, fez fugir os seus servos e o seu gado para as casas;
21 And he who didn't regard the word of Yahweh left his slaves and his cattle in the field.
21 Mas aquele que não tinha considerado a palavra do Senhor deixou os seus servos e o seu gado no campo.
22 And Yahweh said to Moses, Stretch forth your hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, on man and on beast, and on every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
22 Então disse o Senhor a Moisés: Estende a tua mão para o céu, e haverá saraiva em toda a terra do Egito, sobre os homens e sobre o gado, e sobre toda a erva do campo, na terra do Egito.
23 And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and Yahweh sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down to the earth; and Yahweh rained hail on the land of Egypt.
23 E Moisés estendeu a sua vara para o céu, e o Senhor deu trovões e saraiva, e fogo corria pela terra; e o Senhor fez chover saraiva sobre a terra do Egito.
24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
24 E havia saraiva, e fogo misturado entre a saraiva, tão grave, qual nunca houve em toda a terra do Egito desde que veio a ser uma nação.
25 And the hail struck throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, from man to beast; and the hail struck every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.
25 E a saraiva feriu, em toda a terra do Egito, tudo quanto havia no campo, desde os homens até aos animais; também a saraiva feriu toda a erva do campo, e quebrou todas as árvores do campo.
26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the sons of Israel were, there was no hail.
26 Somente na terra de Gósen, onde estavam os filhos de Israel, não havia saraiva.
27 And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, I have sinned this time: Yahweh is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
27 Então Faraó mandou chamar a Moisés e a Arão, e disse-lhes: Esta vez pequei; o Senhor é justo, mas eu e o meu povo ímpios.
28 Entreat Yahweh; for there has been enough of [these] mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you{+} go, and you{+} will wait no longer.
28 Orai ao Senhor (pois que basta) para que não haja mais trovões de Deus nem saraiva; e eu vos deixarei ir, e não ficareis mais aqui.
29 And Moses said to him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands to Yahweh; the thunders will cease, neither will there be anymore hail; that you may know that the earth is Yahweh's.
29 Então lhe disse Moisés: Em saindo da cidade estenderei minhas mãos ao Senhor; os trovões cessarão, e não haverá mais saraiva; para que saibas que a terra é do Senhor.
30 But as for you and your slaves, I know that you{+} will not yet fear Yahweh God.
30 Todavia, quanto a ti e aos teus servos, eu sei que ainda não temereis diante do Senhor Deus.
31 And the flax and the barley were struck: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bloom.
31 E o linho e a cevada foram feridos, porque a cevada já estava na espiga, e o linho na haste.
32 But the wheat and the spelt were not struck: for they were not grown up.
32 Mas o trigo e o centeio não foram feridos, porque estavam cobertos.
33 And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands to Yahweh: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured on the earth.
33 Saiu, pois, Moisés da presença de Faraó, da cidade, e estendeu as suas mãos ao Senhor; e cessaram os trovões e a saraiva, e a chuva não caiu mais sobre a terra.
34 And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders had ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his slaves.
34 Vendo Faraó que cessou a chuva, e a saraiva, e os trovões, pecou ainda mais; e endureceu o seu coração, ele e os seus servos.
35 And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the sons of Israel go, as Yahweh had spoken by Moses.
35 Assim o coração de Faraó se endureceu, e não deixou ir os filhos de Israel, como o Senhor tinha dito por Moisés.
