1 Then sang Moses and the sons of Israel this song to Yahweh, and spoke, saying, I will sing to Yahweh, for he has triumphed gloriously: The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.
1 Então Moisés e os filhos de Israel cantaram este cântico ao SENHOR, e falaram, dizendo: Cantarei ao SENHOR, porque ele triunfou gloriosamente; lançou no mar o cavalo e o seu cavaleiro.
2 Yah is my strength and song, And he has become my salvation: This is my God, and I will praise him; My father's God, and I will exalt him.
2 O SENHOR é a minha força e o meu cântico, e ele se tornou a minha salvação. Ele é o meu Deus, e prepararei para ele uma habitação. Deus de meu pai, e eu o exaltarei.
3 Yahweh is a man of war: Yahweh is his name.
3 O SENHOR é homem de guerra; SENHOR é o seu nome.
4 Pharaoh's chariots and his host he has cast into the sea; And his chosen captains are sunk in the Red Sea.
4 Lançou no mar as carruagens de Faraó e o seu exército; seus capitães escolhidos também foram afogados no mar Vermelho.
5 The deeps cover them: They went down into the depths like a stone.
5 Os abismos os cobriram; desceram às profundezas como uma pedra.
6 Your right hand, O Yahweh, is glorious in power, Your right hand, O Yahweh, dashes in pieces the enemy.
6 Tua mão direita, ó SENHOR, é gloriosa em poder; tua mão direita, ó SENHOR, despedaçou o inimigo.
7 And in the greatness of your excellency you overthrow those who rise up against you: You send forth your wrath, it consumes them as stubble.
7 E na grandeza da tua excelência derrubaste aqueles que se levantaram contra ti; enviaste a tua ira, que os consumiu como restolho.
8 And with the blast of your nostrils the waters were piled up, The floods stood upright as a heap; The deeps were congealed in the heart of the sea.
8 E com o sopro das tuas narinas as águas amontoaram-se, as correntes pararam em pé como um montão, e as profundezas coalharam-se no coração do mar.
9 The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; My desire will be satisfied on them; I will draw my sword, my hand will destroy them.
9 Disse o inimigo: Perseguirei, alcançarei, dividirei o despojo; meu desejo se fartará neles; desembainharei a minha espada, minha mão os destruirá.
10 You blew with your wind, the sea covered them: They sank as lead in the mighty waters.
10 Tu sopraste com o teu vento, e o mar os cobriu; eles afundaram como chumbo nas poderosas águas.
11 Who is like you, O Yahweh, among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, awesome in praises, doing wonders?
11 Quem é como tu, ó SENHOR, entre os deuses? Quem é como tu, glorioso em santidade, temeroso em louvores, fazendo maravilhas?
12 You stretched out your right hand, The earth swallowed them.
12 Tu estendestes a tua mão direita, e a terra os engoliu.
13 You in your loving-kindness have led the people that you have redeemed: You have guided them in your strength to your holy habitation.
13 Na tua misericórdia conduziste o povo que resgataste; com a tua força os guiaste à tua santa habitação.
14 The peoples have heard, they tremble: Pangs have taken hold on the inhabitants of Philistia.
14 O povo ouvirá e temerá; a dor tomará os habitantes da Filístia.
15 Then were the chiefs of Edom dismayed; The mighty men of Moab, trembling takes hold on them: All the inhabitants of Canaan are melted away.
15 Então os príncipes de Edom se maravilharam; um tremor apoderou-se dos homens poderosos de Moabe; derreteram-se todos os habitantes de Canaã.
16 Terror and dread falls on them; By the greatness of your arm they are as still as a stone; Until your people pass over, O Yahweh, Until the people pass over that you have purchased.
16 Sobre eles caiu medo e pavor; pela grandeza de teu braço, emudeceram como pedra; até que o teu povo passasse, ó SENHOR, até que passasse o povo que tu adquiriste.
17 You will bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of your inheritance, The place, O Yahweh, which you have made for you to dwell in, The sanctuary, O Lord, which your hands have established.
17 Tu os levarás e os plantarás no monte da tua herança, no lugar, ó SENHOR, que fizeste para nele habitar; no Santuário, ó Senhor, que tuas mãos estabeleceram.
18 Yahweh will reign forever and ever.
18 O SENHOR reinará para sempre e sempre.
19 For the horses of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and Yahweh brought back the waters of the sea on them; but the sons of Israel walked on dry land in the midst of the sea.
19 Porque os cavalos de Faraó, com as suas carruagens e com os seus cavaleiros entraram no mar, e o SENHOR trouxe novamente sobre eles as águas do mar, todavia os filhos de Israel continuaram por terra seca no meio do mar.
20 And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.
20 E Miriã, a profetisa, a irmã de Arão, tomou um tamborim em sua mão; e todas as mulheres saíram após ela com tamboris e com danças.
21 And Miriam answered them, Sing{+} to Yahweh, for he has triumphed gloriously; The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.
21 E Miriã lhes respondeu: Cantai ao SENHOR, porque ele triunfou gloriosamente; o cavalo e seu cavaleiro ele lançou no mar.
22 And Moses led Israel onward from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
22 Assim Moisés trouxe Israel do mar Vermelho, e eles saíram para o deserto de Sur, e foram três dias pelo deserto, e não encontraram água.
23 And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore it was named Marah.
23 E quando chegaram a Mara, não puderam beber as águas de Mara, porque eram amargas. Por isso o nome foi chamado Mara.
24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
24 E o povo murmurou contra Moisés, dizendo: O que beberemos?
25 And he cried to Yahweh; And Yahweh showed him a tree, and he cast it into the waters, and the waters were made sweet. There he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them;
25 E ele clamou ao SENHOR; e o SENHOR lhe mostrou uma árvore, que, quando ele a lançou nas águas, as águas se tornaram doces. Ali fez para eles um estatuto e uma ordenança, e ali ele os testou,
26 and he said, If you will diligently listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you, which I have put on the Egyptians: for I am Yahweh who heals you.
26 e disse: Se diligentemente ouvires a voz do SENHOR teu Deus, e fizeres o que é reto à sua vista, e deres teu ouvido aos seus mandamentos, e guardares todos os seus estatutos, não colocarei sobre ti nenhuma destas doenças que eu trouxe sobre os egípcios, pois eu sou o SENHOR que te cura.
27 And they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water, and seventy palm-trees: and they encamped there by the waters.
27 E chegaram a Elim, onde havia doze fontes de água e setenta palmeiras. E acamparam ali junto às águas.
