1 Thou shalt not accepte a vayne tale, nether shalt put thine hande with the wiked to be an vnrightous witnesse:
1 “Não espalhe boatos falsos. Não coopere com pessoas perversas sendo falsa testemunha.
2 Thou shalt not folowe a multitude to do euell: nether answere in a mater of plee that thou woldest to folow many turne a syde from the trueth,
2 “Não se deixe levar pela maioria na prática do mal. Quando o chamarem para testemunhar em um processo legal, não permita que a multidão o influencie a perverter a justiça.
3 nether shalt thou paynte a porre mans cause.
3 E não incline seu testemunho em favor de uma pessoa só porque ela é pobre.
4 whe thou metest thine enimies oxe or asse goynge a straye, thou shalt brynge the to him agayne.
4 “Se você deparar com o boi ou o jumento perdido de seu inimigo, leve-o de volta ao dono.
5 Yf thou se thine enimies asse synke vnder his burthen, thou shalt not passe by and let him alone: but shalt helpe him to lyfte him vp agayne.
5 Se vir o jumento de alguém que o odeia cair sob o peso de sua carga, não faça de conta que não viu. Pare e ajude o dono a levantá-lo.
6 Thou shalt not hynder the righte of the poore that are amonge you in their sute.
6 “Não negue a justiça ao pobre em um processo legal.
7 Kepe the ferre from a false mater, and the Innocent and righteous se thou sley not, for I will not iustifye the weked.
7 “Jamais acuse alguém falsamente. Jamais condene à morte uma pessoa inocente ou íntegra, pois eu nunca declaro inocente aquele que é culpado.
8 Thou shalt take no giftes, for giftes blynde the seynge and peruerte the wordes of the righteous.
8 “Não aceite subornos, pois eles o levam a fazer vista grossa para algo que se pode ver claramente. O suborno faz até o justo distorcer a verdade.
9 Thou shalt not oppresse a straunger, for I knowe the herte of straunger, because ye were straungers in Egipte.
9 “Não explore os estrangeiros. Vocês sabem o que significa viver em terra estranha, pois foram estrangeiros no Egito.
10 Sixe yeres thou shalt sowe thi londe ad gather in the frutes theroff:
10 “Plantem e colham os produtos da terra por seis anos,
11 and the seuenth yere thou shalt let it rest and lye styll, that the poore of thi people maye eate, and what they leaue, the beestes of the felde shall eate: In like maner thou shalt do with thi vyneyarde ad thine olyue trees.
11 mas, no sétimo ano, deixem que ela se renove e descanse sem cultivo. Permitam que os pobres do povo colham o que crescer espontaneamente durante esse ano. Deixem o resto para servir de alimento aos animais selvagens. Façam o mesmo com os vinhedos e os olivais.
12 Sixe dayes thou shalt do thi worke ad the seuenth daye thou shalt kepe holie daye, that thyne oxe and thine asse maye rest ad the sonne of thi mayde and the straunger maye be refresshed.
12 “Vocês têm seis dias da semana para realizar suas tarefas habituais, mas não devem trabalhar no sétimo. Desse modo, seu boi e seu jumento descansarão, e os escravos e estrangeiros que vivem entre vocês recuperarão as forças.
13 And in all thinges that I haue sayde vnto you be circumspecte.And make no rehersall of the names of straunge goddes, nether let any man heare the out of youre mouthes.
13 “Prestem muita atenção a todas as minhas instruções. Não invoquem o nome de outros deuses; nem mesmo mencionem o nome deles.”
14 Thre feastes thou shalt holde vnto me in a yere.
14 “A cada ano, celebrem três festas em minha honra.
15 Thou shalt kepe the feast of swete bred that thou eate vnleuend bred .vij. dayes loge as I comaunded the in the tyme appoynted of the moneth of Abib, for in that moneth thou camest out of Egipte: ad se that noman appeare before me emptie.
15 Primeiro, celebrem a Festa dos Pães sem Fermento. Durante sete dias, o pão que vocês comerem será preparado sem fermento, conforme eu lhes ordenei. Celebrem essa festa anualmente no tempo determinado, no mês de abibe, pois é o aniversário de sua partida do Egito. Ninguém deve se apresentar diante de mim de mãos vazias.
16 And the feast of Heruest, when thou reapest the firstfrutes of thy laboures which thou hast sowne in the felde. And the feast of ingaderynge, in the ende of the yere: when thou hast gathered in thy laboures out of the felde.
16 “Celebrem também a Festa da Colheita, quando me trarão os primeiros frutos de suas colheitas. “Por fim, celebrem a Festa da Última Colheita
17 Thre tymes in a yere shall all thy men childern appere before the Lorde Iehouah.
17 A cada ano, nessas três ocasiões, todos os homens de Israel devem comparecer diante do Soberano, o S enhor .
18 Thou shalt not offer the bloude of my sacrifyce with leuended bred: nether shall the fatt of my feast remayne vntill the mornynge.
18 “Não ofereçam o sangue de meus sacrifícios com pão que contenha fermento. E não guardem até a manhã seguinte a gordura das ofertas da festa.
19 The first of the firstfrutes of thy lode thou shalt bringe in to the housse of the Lorde thy God thou shalt also not seth a kyde in his mothers mylke.
19 “Quando fizerem a colheita, levem à casa do S enhor , seu Deus, o melhor de seus primeiros frutos. “Não cozinhem o cabrito no leite da mãe dele.”
20 Beholde, I sende mine angell before the, to kepe the in the waye, and to brynge the in to the place which I haue prepared
20 “Vejam, eu enviarei um anjo à sua frente para protegê-los ao longo da jornada e conduzi-los em segurança ao lugar que lhes preparei.
21 Beware of him and heare his voyce and angre him not: for he wyll not spare youre mysdedes, yee and my name is in him.
21 Prestem muita atenção nele e obedeçam a suas instruções. Não se rebelem contra ele, pois é meu representante e não perdoará sua rebeldia.
22 But and yf thou shalt herken vnto his voyce ad kepe all that I shall tell the, the I wilbe an enimye vnto thyne enimies and an aduersarie vnto thine aduersaries.
22 Mas, se tiverem o cuidado de lhe obedecer e de seguir todas as minhas instruções, serei inimigo de seus inimigos e farei oposição aos que se opuserem a vocês.
23 when myne angell goth before the ad hath broughte the in vnto the Amorites, Hethites Pherezites, Canaanites, Heuites and Iebusites and I shall haue destroyed them:
23 Meu anjo irá à sua frente e os conduzirá à terra dos amorreus, hititas, ferezeus, cananeus, heveus e jebuseus, e eu destruirei todas essas nações.
24 se thou worshippe not their goddes nether serue them, nether do after the workes of them: but ouertrowe them and breake doune the places of them
24 Não adorem seus deuses, nem os sirvam de maneira alguma, e nem sequer imitem suas práticas. Antes, destruam-nas completamente e despedacem suas colunas sagradas.
25 And se that ye serue the Lorde youre God, ad he shall blesse thi bred and thy water, ad I will take all sycknesses awaye from amonge you.
25 “Sirvam somente ao S enhor , seu Deus, e eu os abençoarei com alimento e água e os protegerei de doenças.
26 Moreouer there shalbe no woman childlesse or vnfrutefull in thi londe, and the nombre of thi dayes I will fulfyll.
26 Em sua terra, nenhuma grávida sofrerá aborto e nenhuma mulher será estéril. Eu lhes darei vida longa e plena.
27 I will sende my feare before the and will kyll all the people whether thou shalt goo. And I will make all thine enemies turne their backes vnto the,
27 “Enviarei pavor à sua frente e criarei pânico entre os povos cujas terras vocês invadirem. Farei todos os seus inimigos darem meia-volta e fugirem.
28 ad I will send hornettes before the, and they shall dryue out the Heuites, the Cananites and the Hethites before the.
28 Sim, enviarei terror adiante de vocês para expulsar os heveus, os cananeus e os hititas,
29 I will not cast them out in one yere, lest the lande growe to a wyldernesse: and the beestes of the felde multiplye apon the.
29 mas não os expulsarei num só ano, pois a terra ficaria deserta e os animais se multiplicariam e se tornariam uma ameaça para vocês.
30 But a litle and a litle I will dryue them out before the, vntill thou be increased that thou mayst enherett the londe.
30 Eu os expulsarei aos poucos, até que sua população tenha aumentado o suficiente para tomar posse da terra.
31 And I will make thi costes fro the red see vnto the see of the Philistenes and from the deserte vnto the ryuer. I will delyuer the inhabiters of the londe in to thine hande, and thou shalt dryue them out before the.
31 Estabelecerei os limites de seu território desde o mar Vermelho até o mar Mediterrâneo, e do deserto do leste até o rio Eufrates. Entregarei em suas mãos os povos que hoje vivem na terra e os expulsarei de diante de vocês.
32 And thou shalt make none appoyntment with them nor wyth their goddes.
32 “Não façam tratados com eles nem com seus deuses.
33 Nether shall they dwell in thi londe, lest they make the synne a gaynst me: for yf thou serue their goddes, it will surely be thy decaye.
33 Esses povos não devem habitar em sua terra, pois os fariam pecar contra mim. Se vocês servirem aos deuses deles, cairão na armadilha da idolatria”.
