1 Let as many servauntes as are vnder ye yoke counte their masters worthy of all honour that the name of god and his doctryne be not evyll spoken of.
1 Os escravos devem ter todo o respeito por seus senhores, para não envergonharem o nome de Deus e seus ensinamentos.
2 Se that they which have belevynge masters despyse them not because they are brethren: but so moche the rather do service for as moche as they are belevynge and beloved and partakers of the benefite.
2 O fato de o senhor ser irmão na fé não é desculpa para deixarem de respeitá-lo. Pelo contrário, devem trabalhar ainda mais arduamente, pois seus esforços beneficiam outros irmãos amados. Ensine estas coisas e incentive todos a obedecer-lhes.
3 These thynges teache and exhorte. Yf eny man teache other wise and is not contet with ye wholsome wordes of oure lorde Iesu christ and with the doctryne of godlines
3 Talvez alguns nos contradigam, mas estes são os verdadeiros ensinamentos do Senhor Jesus Cristo, que conduzem a uma vida de devoção. Quem ensina algo diferente

4 é arrogante e sem entendimento. Vive com o desejo doentio de discutir o significado das palavras e provoca contendas que resultam em inveja, divisão, difamação e suspeitas malignas.
5 and vayne disputacions of men with corrupte myndes and destitute of the trueth which thynke that lucre is godlines. From soche seperate thy silfe.
5 Pessoas assim sempre causam problemas. Têm a mente corrompida e deram as costas à verdade. Para elas, a vida de devoção é apenas uma forma de enriquecer.
6 Godlines is great ryches yf a man be content with that he hath.
6 No entanto, a devoção acompanhada de contentamento é, em si mesma, grande riqueza.
7 For we brought nothynge into the worlde and it is a playne case that we can cary nothynge out.
7 Afinal, não trouxemos nada conosco quando viemos ao mundo, e nada levaremos quando o deixarmos.
8 When we have fode and rayment let vs therwith be contet.
8 Portanto, se temos alimento e roupa, estejamos contentes.
9 They that wilbe ryche faule into temptacio and snares and into many folysshe and noysome lustes which droune me in perdicion and destruccion.
9 Mas aqueles que desejam enriquecer caem em tentações e armadilhas e em muitos desejos tolos e nocivos, que os levam à ruína e destruição.
10 For coveteousnes is the rote of all evyll which whill some lusted after they erred fro the fayth and tanglyd them selves with many sorowes.
10 Pois o amor ao dinheiro é a raiz de todo mal. E alguns, por tanto desejarem dinheiro, desviaram-se da fé e afligiram a si mesmos com muitos sofrimentos.
11 But thou which arte the man of god flye soche thynges Folowe rightewesnes godlines love pacience and meknes.
11 Você, porém, que é um homem de Deus, fuja de todas essas coisas más. Busque a justiça, a devoção e também a fé, o amor, a perseverança e a mansidão.
12 Fyght ye good fyght of fayth. Laye honde on eternall lyfe where vnto thou arte called and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
12 Lute o bom combate da fé. Apegue-se firmemente à vida eterna para a qual foi chamado e que tão bem você declarou na presença de muitas testemunhas.
13 I geve the charge in the sight of God which quickneth all thinges and before Iesu Christ which vnder Pocius Pilate witnessed a good witnessinge
13 Diante de Deus, que a todos dá vida, e de Cristo Jesus, que deu bom testemunho perante Pôncio Pilatos, encarrego-o
14 yt thou kepe the comaundemet and be with out spotte and vnrebukeable vntyll the apperynge of oure lorde Iesus Christ
14 de obedecer a esta ordem sem vacilar. Assim, ninguém poderá acusá-lo de coisa alguma, desde agora até a volta de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
15 which aperynge (when the tyme ys come) he shall shewe that is blessed and myghty only kynge of kynges and lorde of lordes
15 Pois: No devido tempo ele será revelado do céu pelo bendito e único Deus todo-poderoso, o Rei dos reis e Senhor dos senhores.
16 which only hath immortalite and dwelleth in light that no man can attayne whom never man sawe nether can se: vnto whom be honoure and rule everlastynge. Amen.
16 Somente a ele pertence a imortalidade, e ele habita em luz tão resplandecente que nenhum ser humano pode se aproximar dele. Ninguém jamais o viu, nem pode ver. A ele sejam honra e poder para sempre! Amém.
17 Charge them that are ryche in this worlde that they be not excedynge wyse and that they trust not in the vncertayne ryches but in the livynge god which geveth vs aboundantly all thynges to enioye them
17 Ensine aos ricos deste mundo que não se orgulhem nem confiem em seu dinheiro, que é incerto. Sua confiança deve estar em Deus, que provê ricamente tudo de que necessitamos para nossa satisfação.
18 and that they do good and be ryche in good workes and redy to geve and to distribute
18 Diga-lhes que usem seu dinheiro para fazer o bem. Devem ser ricos em boas obras e generosos com os necessitados, sempre prontos a repartir.
19 layinge vp in store for them selves a good foundacio agaynst the tyme to come yt they maye obteyne eternall lyfe
19 Desse modo, acumularão tesouros para si como um alicerce firme para o futuro, a fim de experimentarem a verdadeira vida.
20 O Timothe save that which is geve ye to kepe and avoyde vngostly vanities of voyces and opposicios of sciece falsly so called
20 Timóteo, guarde aquilo que Deus lhe confiou. Evite discussões profanas e tolas com aqueles que se opõem a você com suposto conhecimento.
21 which sciece whyll some professed they have erred as concernynge the fayth. Grace be with the Amen.
21 Alguns se desviaram da fé por seguirem essas tolices. Que a graça de Deus esteja com vocês.
