1 Lykewyse let the wyves be in subieccio to their husbades that eve they which beleve not the worde maye with out the worde be wonne by the conversacion of ye wyves:
1 Assim também você, esposa, deve obedecer ao seu marido a fim de que, se ele não crê na mensagem de Deus, seja levado a crer pelo modo de você agir. Não será preciso dizer nada
2 whill they beholde youre pure coversacion coupled with feare.
2 porque ele verá como a conduta de você é honesta e respeitosa.
3 Whose apparell shall not be outwarde with broyded heare and hanginge on of golde other in puttinge on of gorgious aparell:
3 Não procure ficar bonita usando enfeites, penteados exagerados, joias ou vestidos caros.
4 but let the hyd man of the herte be incorrupt with a meke and a quyet sprete which sprete is before God a thinge moche set by.
4 Pelo contrário, a beleza de você deve estar no coração, pois ela não se perde; ela é a beleza de um espírito calmo e delicado, que tem muito valor para Deus.
5 For after this maner in the olde tyme dyd the holy wemen which trusted in God tyer the selves and were obediet to their husbades
5 Porque era assim que costumavam se enfeitar as mulheres do passado, as mulheres que eram dedicadas a Deus e que punham a sua esperança nele. Elas eram obedientes ao seu marido.
6 eve as Sara obeyed Abraha and called him Lorde: whose doughters ye are as longe as ye do well and be not afrayde of every shadowe.
6 Sara foi assim; ela obedecia a Abraão e o chamava de “meu senhor”. Você será agora sua filha se praticar o bem e não tiver medo de nada.
7 Lyke wyse ye men dwell with them accordinge to knowledge gevinge honoure vnto the wyfe as vnto the weaker vessell and as vnto them that are heyres also of the grace of lyfe that youre prayers be not let.
7 Também você, marido, na vida em comum com a esposa, reconheça que a mulher é o sexo mais fraco e que por isso deve ser tratada com respeito. Porque a esposa também vai receber, junto com você, o dom da vida, que é dado por Deus. Aja assim para que nada atrapalhe as orações de vocês.
8 In coclusion be ye all of one mynde one suffre with another love as brethren be petifull be courteous
8 Finalmente, que todos vocês tenham o mesmo modo de pensar e de sentir. Amem uns aos outros e sejam educados e humildes uns com os outros.
9 not redringe evyll for evyll nether rebuke for rebuke: but contrary wyse blesse remembringe yt ye are thervnto called even yt ye shuld be heyres of blessinge.
9 Não paguem mal com mal, nem ofensa com ofensa. Pelo contrário, paguem a ofensa com uma bênção porque, quando Deus os chamou , ele prometeu dar uma bênção a vocês.
10 If eny ma longe after life and loveth to se good dayes let him refrayne his tonge fro evyll and his lippes that they speake not gyle.
10 Como dizem as Escrituras Sagradas : “Quem quiser gozar a vida e ter dias felizes não fale coisas más e não conte mentiras.
11 Let him eschue evyll and do good: let him seke peace and ensue it.
11 Afaste-se do mal e faça o bem; procure a paz e faça tudo para alcançá-la.
12 For ye eyes of ye Lorde are over ye righteous and his eares are open vnto their prayers. But ye face of the Lorde beholdeth the that do evyll.
12 Pois o Senhor olha com atenção as pessoas honestas e ouve os seus pedidos, porém é contra os que fazem o mal.”
13 Moreover who is it that will harme you yf ye folowe yt which is good?
13 Se, de fato, vocês quiserem fazer o bem, quem lhes fará o mal?
14 Not withstondynge happy are ye yf ye suffre for rightewesnessis sake. Ye and feare not though they seme terrible vnto you nether be troubled:
14 Como vocês serão felizes se tiverem de sofrer por fazerem o que é certo! Não tenham medo de ninguém, nem fiquem preocupados.
15 but sanctifie the Lorde God in youre hertes. Be redy all wayes to geve an answere to every man that axeth you a reson of the hope that is in you and that with meaknes and feare:
15 Tenham no coração de vocês respeito por Cristo e o tratem como Senhor. Estejam sempre prontos para responder a qualquer pessoa que pedir que expliquem a esperança que vocês têm.
16 havinge a good consciece that when they backbyte you as evyll doars they maye be ashamed for as moche as they have falsely accused youre good conversacion in Christ.
16 Porém façam isso com educação e respeito. Tenham sempre a consciência limpa. Assim, quando vocês forem insultados, os que falarem mal da boa conduta de vocês como seguidores de Cristo ficarão envergonhados.
17 It is better (yf the wyll of God be so) that ye suffre for well doynge then for evyll doynge.
17 Porque é melhor sofrer por fazer o bem, se for esta a vontade de Deus, do que por fazer o mal.
18 For as moche as Christ hath once suffered for synnes ye iuste for ye vniuste forto bringe vs to God and was kylled as pertayninge to the flesshe: but was quyckened in the sprete.
18 Pois o próprio Cristo sofreu uma vez por todas pelos pecados, um homem bom em favor dos maus, para levar vocês a Deus. Ele morreu no corpo, mas foi ressuscitado no espírito,
19 In which sprete he also wet and preached vnto the spretes that were in preson
19 e no espírito foi e pregou aos espíritos que estavam presos .
20 which were in tyme passed disobedient when the longe sufferinge of God abode excedinge paciently in the dayes of Noe whyll the arcke was a preparinge wherin feawe (that is to saye.viii soules) were saved by water
20 Estes eram os espíritos daqueles que não tinham obedecido a Deus, quando ele ficou esperando com paciência nos dias em que Noé estava construindo a barca. As poucas pessoas que estavam nela, oito ao todo, foram salvas pela água.
21 which signifieth baptim that now saveth vs not ye puttinge awaye of ye filth of the flesshe but in that a good conscience consenteth to God by ye resurreccio of Iesus Christ
21 Aquela água representava o batismo, que agora salva vocês. Esse batismo não é lavar a sujeira do corpo, mas é o compromisso feito com Deus, o qual vem de uma consciência limpa. Essa salvação vem por meio da ressurreição de Jesus Cristo,
22 which is oure right honde of God and is gone into heve angels power and myght subdued vnto him.
22 que foi para o céu e está do lado direito de Deus, governando os anjos, as autoridades e os poderes do céu .
