1 Whosoever beleveh that Iesus is Christ is borne of god. And every one yt loveth him which begat loveth him also which was begotte of him.
1 Todo aquele que crê que Jesus é o Cristo é nascido de Deus; e todo aquele que ama ao que o gerou também ama ao que dele é nascido.
2 In this we knowe yt we love the children of god whe we love god and kepe his comaudementes.
2 Nisto conhecemos que amamos os filhos de Deus: quando amamos a Deus e praticamos os seus mandamentos.
3 This is ye love of god yt we kepe his comaundemetes and his comaundementes are not greveous
3 Porque este é o amor de Deus: que guardemos os seus mandamentos; ora, os seus mandamentos não são penosos,
4 For all that is borne of god over commeth the worlde. And this is the victory that overcometh the worlde even oure fayth.
4 porque todo o que é nascido de Deus vence o mundo; e esta é a vitória que vence o mundo: a nossa fé.
5 Who is it that overcommeth the worlde: but he which beleveth that Iesus is ye sonne of god?
5 Quem é o que vence o mundo, senão aquele que crê ser Jesus o Filho de Deus?
6 This Iesus Christ is he that ca by water and bloud not by water only: but by water and bloud. And it is the sprete that beareth witnes because the sprete ys trueth.
6 Este é aquele que veio por meio de água e sangue, Jesus Cristo; não somente com água, mas também com a água e com o sangue. E o Espírito é o que dá testemunho, porque o Espírito é a verdade.
7 (For ther are thre which beare recorde in heuen the father the worde and the wholy goost. And these thre are one)
7 Pois há três que dão testemunho [no céu: o Pai, a Palavra e o Espírito Santo; e estes três são um.
8 For there are thre which beare recorde (in erth:) the sprete and water and bloud: and these thre are one.
8 E três são os que testificam na terra]: o Espírito, a água e o sangue, e os três são unânimes num só propósito.
9 Yf we receave the witnes of men the witnes of god is greater. For this is the witnes of god which he testifyed of his sonne.
9 Se admitimos o testemunho dos homens, o testemunho de Deus é maior; ora, este é o testemunho de Deus, que ele dá acerca do seu Filho.
10 He that beleveth on the sonne of god hath the witnes in him silfe. He that beleveth not God hath made him a lyar be cause he beleved not the recorde that god gave of his sonne.
10 Aquele que crê no Filho de Deus tem, em si, o testemunho. Aquele que não dá crédito a Deus o faz mentiroso, porque não crê no testemunho que Deus dá acerca do seu Filho.
11 And this ys that recorde how that god hath geven vnto vs eternall lyfe and this lyfe is in his sonne.
11 E o testemunho é este: que Deus nos deu a vida eterna; e esta vida está no seu Filho.
12 He that hath the sonne hath lyfe: and he that hath not the sonne of god hath not lyfe.
12 Aquele que tem o Filho tem a vida; aquele que não tem o Filho de Deus não tem a vida.
13 These thynges have I written vnto you that beleve on the name of the sonne of God that ye maye knowe howe that ye have eternall lyfe and that ye maye beleve on the name of the sonne of god.
13 Estas coisas vos escrevi, a fim de saberdes que tendes a vida eterna, a vós outros que credes em o nome do Filho de Deus.
14 And this is the trust that we have in him: that yf we axe eny thinge accordynge to his will he heareth vs.
14 E esta é a confiança que temos para com ele: que, se pedirmos alguma coisa segundo a sua vontade, ele nos ouve.
15 And yf we knowe that he heare vs what soever we axe we knowe that we shall have the peticions that we desyre of him.
15 E, se sabemos que ele nos ouve quanto ao que lhe pedimos, estamos certos de que obtemos os pedidos que lhe temos feito.
16 Yf eny man se his brother synne a synne that is not vnto deeth let him axe and he shall geve him lyfe for them that synne not vnto deeth. Ther is a synne vnto deeth for which saye I not that a man shuld praye.
16 Se alguém vir a seu irmão cometer pecado não para morte, pedirá, e Deus lhe dará vida, aos que não pecam para morte. Há pecado para morte, e por esse não digo que rogue.
17 All vnrightewesnes is synne and ther is synne not vnto deeth.
17 Toda injustiça é pecado, e há pecado não para morte.
18 We knowe that whosoever is borne of god synneth not: but he that is begotten of god kepeth him silfe and that wicked toucheth him not.
18 Sabemos que todo aquele que é nascido de Deus não vive em pecado; antes, Aquele que nasceu de Deus o guarda, e o Maligno não lhe toca.
19 We knowe that we are of god and that the worlde is altogedder set on wickednes.
19 Sabemos que somos de Deus e que o mundo inteiro jaz no Maligno.
20 We knowe that the sonne of God is come and hath geven vs a mynde to knowe him which is true: and we are in him that is true through his sonne Iesu Christ. This same is very god and eternall lyfe.
20 Também sabemos que o Filho de Deus é vindo e nos tem dado entendimento para reconhecermos o verdadeiro; e estamos no verdadeiro, em seu Filho, Jesus Cristo. Este é o verdadeiro Deus e a vida eterna.
