5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Sirat ima carit cuitar uch waquír áyjacro. Jesucristo ojcor uch waquír áyjacro:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.

7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Sir carit cuitar bucoy cat wacaro:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Cuat bara Sirat cájaquinro. Sirat caquir im sasá chájacro. Ima tamo síhw̃ayta acu chájacro. Im ojcor conayta acu chájacro. Carin yinayta acu chájacro. Sira baan ima uwan ayan cuít chájacro. Ba récaji ur ay bár icar bin cuar Sirat síujac chihtá ehcwayta acu ba cájacro.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Récaram bara Sir sasai batro. Cuatán ahra Sir sasá bar waajacro. Récaram Sirat ba cuitar wátiro. Cuatán ahra baat ey chihtá rahcuíc etar ba cuitar wajacro.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Rábinu, aját ba sehnacro. Aját chihtá ba ac áyinro, baat cácayta acu. Bara cajc uch cutra inic itro. Sir jor itin binro. Cuatán áhajira ba usatro. Eyta bira baarun ur ay bár yajquíc sinti jaw̃i. Ur ay bár yajquíc sínyeyra ba ur ay bár icar bétaro. Eyta bira ur ay bár yajquíc sinti jaw̃i.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Sir tamo síhw̃ati bin tac icar ityat ur ay yajw̃i. Baat eyta yajquíc cuar éyinat ba cahm icar tew̃ata óraro. “Uchinat ay bár yajcaro,” wacata óraro. Ba ójcoran eyta waquíc cuara, baatrúm eyta ay bár yajti jaw̃i. Ay yajw̃i. Eyta cuácayat éyinat ítchareht yájcajareht ba ítitan, ur ay yajcaro. Eyinat eyta istír wacátaro: “Siran ayro. Siran eyin owatro,” wacátaro. Jesucristo sicor cajc uch cuitar wicayat, éyinat eyta wacátaro.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.
13 Uw carin chihtá cat caw̃i. Jesucristo tamo sihw̃a rabar eyin chihtá caw̃i. Técuati caw̃i. Sirat carin yinín waquír chájacro. Uw ayin acu carin yinín waquír chájacro. Eyta bira eyin chihtá caw̃i. Reya caran tahnác bi chihtá cat caw̃i.

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.

15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;

16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Uw bahnaquin ac ay jaw̃i. Rabin cat sehnác chaw̃i. Sir cahmar áywini jaw̃i. Caran tahnác bi ey ajcá ji béowi.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Ba bíyinan cahujín acu cacmín rehcáyatan, aját ba quin uch wacaro. Behmár cara chihtá caw̃i. Cara tamo sehw̃ar, ey chihtá caw̃i. Carin ba ac ay chaquic tacat, ba tecua tacat ey chihtá caw̃i.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Cara istiyát ba ruhw̃ata óraro. Eyta ruhw̃ú cuaquir baat ey chihtá caquin acu tan úcayatan, eywan ayro. Baat Sir tamo sihw̃a rabar ey chihtá caquin acu tan úcayatan, eywan ayro.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Carat behmár oquís bucayat, ba técuati rehcayat yársaro. Baat técuati ítata bin etar técuatiro. Cuatán baat ur ay yajác ques buquíc cuar técuati tan ucáyatan, ayan tahnacro. Baatán yarsa rahra técuata bin cuar técuati ítyatan, ayan tahnacro.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ba eyta ruhw̃ú cuar Sirat ba turti ac tan uquin waquír chájacro. Jesucrístoat cat ba cuitar wacayta acu ruhw̃ujacro. Jesucrístoan ruhw̃ujác cuar éyatra ráhrara técuatiro. Eyta cuácayat Jesucrístoat rahra técuati tan uquir eyta baat cat eyta técuati tan uw̃i.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Jesucrístoatra Sir tayar yájtiro. Ay batra yájtiro. Uw quino cat sucuar téw̃tiro.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 Eyta cuar uwat ey quin ahsín tew̃yat, Jesucrístoat ráhrara técuatiro. Ajc chin jájacro. Eyinat ruhw̃uyat, ráhrara ajc chin chájacro. Eyta ruhw̃uyat, “Sirat ba bar tecuátarora,” wátiro. Cuatán Jesucrístoat Sir tamo séhw̃ajacro. “Sirat as cayar yájtiro,” séhw̃ajacro. “Sirat urá istanác cuitar tayar yajác ques cuécwataro,” séhw̃ajacro. Ima urá cuitar eyta sehw̃ar car técuati tan újacro.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Jesucrístoan uwat caruc ojcor quejcayat chinjacro. Isat Sir tayar yajác tunin ac chinjacro. Isat bucoy Sir tayar yajti ac eyta chinjacro. Sácajaquinat Sir tayar yájcajatro. 24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.

25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
