Efésios 4
The Common Edition: New Testament (TCE) vs AAI
1 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called,
1 Ayu i Regah wabinamaim dibur arun ama’ama, imih kwa ao’ototofari, God ayawas ya’asair eaf kwana kwabaib imaim kwanama.
2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love,
2 Mar etei taiyuw kwanayara’iyi, kwanakakaf, yatenanub, yabowamaim taituwa kwanabuwih.
3 being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
3 Anun Kakafiyin buwi kwana bita’imoni i kwanasinaftobon a kou’ay nati i kwanabukikin tufuwamaim kwanama.
4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call,
4 Biyat i ta’imon, Anun Kakafiyin i ta’imon, God ea’afit i nuhifot ta’imon tabai,
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
5 Regah i ta’imon, baitumatum i ta’imon, bapataito i ta’imon.
6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
6 Naatu God i ta’imon, sabuw tutufin etei’imak Tamat, naatu iti etei’imak ata ukwarin, Regah ta’imon, etei’imak wanawanatamaim ebowabow, naatu wanawanatamaim ema’am.
7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.
7 It ta’ita’imon manaw kabeberamaim Keriso ana usar bitit i ra’at naatu igewasin kwanekwan.
8 Therefore it says, »When he ascended on high, he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.«
8 Buk Atamaninamaim iti na’atube eo,
9 (In saying, »He ascended,« what does it mean except that he had also descended into the lower parts of the earth?
9 Tur iti, “Yen Auyom.” Ana’an i iti, wantoro’ot i marane ra’iy, re anababatun me wanawanan run.
10 He who descended is also he who ascended far above all the heavens, so that he might fill all things.)
10 Imih orot nati taiyuwin yara’iy re’er, nati orot ta’imon yen auyomtoro’ot tit, naatu mar ana hanef etei natabir rabon mar tafaram tutufin etei ana’itinin bai karatan.
11 And he gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,
11 Naatu i taiyuwin siwar bow orot ta ta faramih, orot afa tur abarayah himatar, afa dinab tur faramayah himatar, afa binanuyah himatar, afa Kirisiyan hai bonawiyenayah himatar, naatu afa bai’obaiyenayah himatar,
12 to equip the saints for the work of service, for the building up of the body of Christ;
12 saise God ana sabuw tatabobuna’ih bowabow ana ef hitaso’ob. Naatu bowabow tataburiri tatabow Keriso biyan tatawowab tara’at tayen
13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to become mature, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
13 tanan it etei ata baitumatum an ta’imon tamatar. Naatu God Natun ana kirikirifot tataso’ob gewas, wanawanat takwat Keriso ana tutufin tatab.
14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful scheming.
14 Saise it boro men kek na’atube tatama’am, sabuw baifufuwenayah hitan hitifufuwit ata baitumatum hitiyuwiyuwimih. Kotar yabat nane ebabin ebiyuwiyuwibe. Anayabin sabuw hai notamaim baifuwen tur afa himataren sabuw afa hifufuwih hinawiyih sa’ab tenan.
15 But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into him, who is the head, into Christ,
15 En baise nati efanin, yabowamaim tur anababatun tanao, ef tata’ane ata orot ukwarin Keriso wanawananamaim tanawowabit tanayen.
16 from whom the whole body, being joined and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each part, causes the growth of the body and builds itself up in love.
16 I ana bainakokomaim biyat tutufin etei bai na ikokofan wowab gewas. Naatu biyat hai bowabow Regah bitih na’atube tebowabow ana veya biyat i erara’at naatu yabowamaim ewowowab gewas.
17 Now this I affirm and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds,
17 Regah ana onowatenamaim ayu kwa abimatnuwi, Eteni Sabuw tema’am na’atube men kwanama’amih, anayabin nati sabuw i hai not hikwaris koko’awabe tema’am.
18 they are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to the hardness of their heart;
18 Hai not etei i gugumin awan karatan, God ana yawasamaim i hitabaratait nabin anababatun tebatabat, anayabin ukwarih i hifokar naatu dogoroh hikabay.
19 and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality, greedy for the practice of every kind of impurity.
19 Biya’ohow naniyan i men kafai hiso’ob, hai yawas tutufin etei kakafin nowanamih hitin bai susuw, naatu in sesebar teo’onofar.
20 But you did not learn Christ in this way,
20 Baise kwa i men iti na’atube hi’obaiyi kwana Keriso kwasu’ubimih.
21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus.
21 Kwa Keriso isan i hio kwanowar, naatu Turobe yawas gewasin Jesu wanawananamaim ema’ama isan i hi’obaiyi.
22 You were taught, with regard to your former manner of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful lusts;
22 Imih kanab atamanin nawiyi yawas kakafih, baifufuwen in kura’ara’ahi kwasinaf gugurusi, nati kanab atamanin i kwanikiya’ub kwanabosair.
23 and be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
23 Dogor naatu a not etei i kwanabow kwaniwa’an boubuh hinamatar,
24 and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
24 naatu kanab boubun God ana’itininabe wowab yai inu’in i kwanab kwaniyoun, saise yawas anababatun, ana ef mutufor naatu kakafiyin boro imaim nirerereb.
25 Therefore, laying aside falsehood, each one of you must speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.
25 Naatu baifufuwen i kwanihamiy, taituwa isah i turobe hai tur kwana’owen, anayabin it etei tana taita’imon Keriso biyan tamatar.
26 Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,
26 Ya nasoso’ar na’at, men yaso’ar nabonawiyi bowabow kakafin inasinaf. Naatu men yaso’ar auman inama nan veya nare.
27 and do not give the devil an opportunity.
27 Men Demon Mowan veya nati’imaim initin narunamih.
28 He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but rather must labor, doing useful work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with those in need.
28 Orot yait ebabain, i bain nihamiy naatu nabusuruf nabow, saise ma gewasin nab nama gewas. Naatu sabuw yababan wairafih nibaisih.
29 Let no unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building others up according to the need of the moment, that it may impart grace to those who hear.
29 A tur men womararin ina’omih, baise baibais ana tur gewasin inao, saise sabuw baibais abisa tekokok boro hinab nawowabih hinara’at. Naatu sabuw iyab tur tenonowar boro nibaisih.
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
30 Naatu God Anun Kakafiyin men yababan kwanitin. Anayabin Anun Kakafiyin i God ana’i’inanen wanawanatamaim ema’am it i nowan. Saise nati Veya gagamin nanan ana veya it boro narufamit nabotaitit tanatit.
31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
31 Imih dogor wanawanan tenakuyakuy, gagamat, yaso’ar, okwanekwan naniyah kakafih ta ta etei kwanihamiyen.
32 Be kind and tenderhearted to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
32 Naatu nati sawar efanih, kwa i taituwa etei isah kwanamanaw kwanakabeber, kwaniwanbabanih. Naatu notawiyen isa nama, Jesu Keriso ana bowabowamaim God notanotawiyit na’atube.
