¹ O God, you have spurned and broken us, routing us in your wrath --- restore us!

¹ Ó Deus, tu nos rejeitaste, tu nos esmagaste, tu tens estado indignado; oh, restabelece-nos.

² You have shaken the land and cleft it; heal its tottering breaches.

² Abalaste a terra, e a fendeste; sara as suas fendas, pois ela treme.

³ You have made your people drink hardship, and given us wine of reeling.

³ Ao teu povo fizeste ver duras coisas; fizeste-nos beber o vinho de aturdimento.

⁴ You have given those who fear you a banner, a rallying-place from the bow, (Selah)

⁴ Deste um estandarte aos que te temem, para o qual possam fugir de diante do arco.

⁵ for the rescue of your beloved. Save by your right hand and answer us.

⁵ Para que os teus amados sejam livres, salva-nos com a tua destra, e responde-nos.

⁶ God did solemnly swear: “As victor will I divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

⁶ Deus falou na sua santidade: Eu exultarei; repartirei Siquém e medirei o vale de Sucote.

⁷ Mine is Gilead, mine is Manasseh, Ephraim is the defence of my head, Judah my sceptre of rule,

⁷ Meu é Gileade, e meu é Manassés; Efraim é o meu capacete; Judá é o meu cetro.

⁸ Moab the pot that I wash in, Edom — I cast my shoe over it, I shout o’er Philistia in triumph.”

⁸ Moabe é a minha bacia de lavar; sobre Edom lançarei o meu sapato; sobre a Filístia darei o brado de vitória.

⁹ O to be brought to the fortified city! O to be led into Edom!

⁹ Quem me conduzirá à cidade forte? Quem me guiará até Edom?

¹⁰ Have you not spurned us, O God? You do not march forth with our armies.

¹⁰ Não nos rejeitaste, ó Deus? e tu, ó Deus, não deixaste de sair com os nossos exércitos?

¹¹ Grant us help from the foe, for human help is worthless.

¹¹ Dá-nos auxílio contra o adversário, pois vão é o socorro da parte do homem.

¹² With God we shall yet do bravely: he himself will tread down our foes.

¹² Em Deus faremos proezas; porque é ele quem calcará aos pés os nossos inimigos.
