1 After saying this, Jesus raised his eyes heaven-wards, and said: “Father, the hour has come; honor your Son, so that your Son may honor you;
1 Essas palavras Jesus falou, e levantou seus olhos ao céu, e disse: Pai, é chegada a hora; glorifica a teu Filho, para que também o teu Filho te glorifique;
2 even as you gave him power over all humanity, so that he should give eternal life to all those whom you has given him.
2 assim como lhe deste poder sobre toda carne, para que ele dê vida eterna a tantos quantos lhe tens dado.
3 And the eternal life is this — to know you the one true God, and Jesus Christ whom you has sent as your messenger.
3 E esta é a vida eterna: Que eles te conheçam, o único Deus verdadeiro, e Jesus Cristo, a quem enviaste.
4 I have honored you on earth by completing the work which you has given me to do;
4 Eu glorifiquei-te na terra; eu completei a obra que me deste para fazer.
5 and now do you honor me, Father, at your own side, with the honor which I had at your side before the world began.
5 E agora, ó Pai, glorifica-me contigo mesmo, com aquela glória que eu tinha contigo antes que o mundo existisse.
6 I have revealed you to those whom you gave me from the world; they were your own, and you gave them to me; and they have laid your message to heart.
6 Eu tenho manifestado o teu nome aos homens que do mundo tu me deste. Eles foram teus, e tu deste a mim; e eles guardaram a tua palavra.
7 They recognize now that everything that you gave me was from you;
7 Agora eles sabem que todas as coisas que me tens dado provêm de ti.
8 for I have given them the teaching which you gave me, and they received it, and clearly understood that I came from you, and they believed that you has sent me as your messenger.
8 Porque eu lhes dei as palavras que tu me deste, e eles as receberam, e verdadeiramente souberam que eu saí de ti, e eles creram que tu me enviaste.
9 I intercede for them; I am not interceding for the world, but for those whom you has given me, for they are your own —
9 Eu oro por eles; eu não oro pelo mundo, mas por aqueles que tu me deste, porque eles são teus.
10 All that is mine is yours, and all that is yours is mine — and I am honored in them.
10 E todos os meus são teus, e os teus são meus; e eu sou glorificado neles.
11 Now I am to be in this world no longer, but they are still to be in the world, and I am to come to you. Holy Father, keep them by that revelation of your name which you has given me, so that they may be one, as we are.
11 E agora eu não estou mais no mundo; mas eles estão no mundo, e eu vou para ti. Pai santo, guarda em teu próprio nome aqueles que tu me deste, para que eles sejam um, assim como nós somos.
12 Whilst I was with them, I kept them by that revelation, and I have guarded them; and not one of them has been lost, except that lost soul — in fulfillment of scripture.
12 Enquanto eu estava com eles no mundo, eu guardava-os em teu nome. Tenho guardado aqueles que tu me deste, e nenhum deles se perdeu, senão o filho da perdição, para que a escritura pudesse se cumprir.
13 But now I am to come to you; and I am speaking like this, while still in the world, so that they may have my own joy, in all its fullness, in their hearts.
13 E agora eu vou para ti, e estas coisas eu falo no mundo, para que eles tenham a minha alegria consumada em si mesmos.
14 I have given them your message; and the world hated them, because they do not belong to the world, even as I do not belong to the world.
14 Eu dei-lhes a tua palavra, e o mundo os odiou, porque eles não são do mundo, assim como eu não sou do mundo.
15 I do not ask you to take them out of the world, but to keep them from evil.
15 Eu não oro para que tu os tires do mundo, mas que tu os guardes do mal.
16 They do not belong to the world, even as I do not belong to the world.
16 Eles não são do mundo, assim como eu não sou do mundo.
17 Consecrate them by the truth; your message is truth.
17 Santifica-os pela tua verdade; tua palavra é a verdade.
18 Just as you has sent me as your messenger to the world, so I send them as my messengers to the world.
18 Assim como tu me enviaste ao mundo, também eu os enviei ao mundo.
19 And it is for their sakes that I am consecrating myself, so that they also may be truly consecrated.
19 E por causa deles eu santifico a mim mesmo, para que também eles sejam santificados pela verdade.
20 But it is not only for them that I am interceding, but also for those who believe in me through their message,
20 E oro não somente por estes, mas também por aqueles que, pela sua palavra, hão de crer em mim;
21 that they all may be one — that as you, Father, are in union with us — and so the world may believe that you have sent me as your messenger.
21 para que todos sejam um, como tu, ó Pai, estás em mim, e eu em ti; que também eles sejam um em nós; para que o mundo creia que tu me enviaste.
22 I have given them the honor which you has given me, so that they may be one as we are one —
22 E dei-lhes a glória que tu me deste, para que sejam um, como nós somos um;
23 I in union with them and you with me — that so they may be perfected in their union, and so that the world may know that you have sent me as your messenger, and that you have loved them as you have loved me.
23 eu neles, e tu em mim, para que eles possam ser perfeitos em unidade; e para que o mundo conheça que tu me enviaste, e que os amaste, assim como me amaste.
24 Father, my desire for all those whom you have given me is that they may be with me where I am, so that they may see the honor which you have given me; for thou did love me before the beginning of the world.
24 Pai, eu desejo que onde eu estou, estejam comigo também aqueles que me tens dado, para que eles vejam a minha glória, a qual tu me deste; porque tu me amaste antes da fundação do mundo.
25 Righteous Father, though the world did not know you, I knew you; and these people knew that you have sent me as your messenger.
25 Ó Pai justo, o mundo não te conheceu; mas eu te conheci, e estes conheceram que tu me enviaste.
26 I have made you known to them, and will do so still; that the love that you have had for me may be in their hearts, and that I may be in them also.”
26 E eu lhes tenho declarado o teu nome, e declararei: que o amor com que tu me amastes, possa estar neles, e eu neles.
