1 Does not wisdom call? And does not understanding put forth her voice?
1 Acaso a sabedoria não clama? E não ergue o entendimento a sua voz?
2 She stands in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the path.
2 Ela se posta no topo dos lugares altos, pelo caminho nos lugares das veredas.
3 She cries in the gates, before the entrance of the city, at the doors.
3 Ela clama nos portões, à entrada da cidade, ao chegar às portas.
4 To you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
4 A vós, ó homens, eu clamo; e a minha voz é aos filhos dos homens.
5 O simple ones understand wisdom; and, fools, be of an understanding heart.
5 Ó simples, entendei a sabedoria; e vós tolos sede de coração compreensivo.
6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.
6 Ouvi, porque eu falarei de coisas excelentes, e o abrir dos meus lábios será para as coisas certas.
7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is hateful to my lips.
7 Porque a minha boca falará a verdade, e os meus lábios abominam a perversidade.
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; nothing twisted or perverse is in them.
8 São justas todas as palavras da minha boca; não há nelas nada de mau ou perverso.
9 They are all plain to him who understands, and right to those who find knowledge.
9 Todas elas são claras para aquele que entende, e certas para aquele que encontra o conhecimento.
10 Receive my instruction and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.
10 Recebei a minha instrução, e não a prata; e o conhecimento, mais do que o ouro fino escolhido.
11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
11 Porque melhor é a sabedoria do que os rubis; e todas as coisas que se podem desejar não se comparam a ela.
12 I, wisdom, dwell with sense, and find out knowledge of discretions.
12 Eu, a sabedoria, habito com a prudência, e acho o conhecimento das invenções espirituosas.
13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the wicked mouth.
13 O temor do SENHOR é odiar o mal; o orgulho, a arrogância, o mau caminho e a boca perversa, eu odeio.
14 Counsel and sound wisdom are Mine; I am understanding; I have strength.
14 Meu é o conselho e a perfeita sabedoria; eu sou o entendimento, eu tenho força.
15 By Me kings reign and princes decree justice.
15 Por mim reinam os reis, e os príncipes decretam justiça.
16 Princes rule by Me, and nobles, all the judges of the earth.
16 Por mim príncipes governam, e nobres; todos os juízes da terra.
17 I love those who love Me; and those who seek Me early shall find Me.
17 Eu amo aqueles que me amam, e os que cedo me buscarem, me acharão.
18 Riches and honor are with Me; enduring riches and righteousness.
18 Riquezas e honra estão comigo; sim, riquezas duráveis e a justiça.
19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and what I give is better than choice silver.
19 Meu fruto é melhor do que o ouro; sim, do que o ouro refinado, e o meu rendimento mais do que a prata escolhida.
20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment;
20 Guio pelo caminho da justiça, no meio das veredas do juízo;
21 I may cause those who love Me to inherit riches; and I will fill their treasuries.
21 para que eu faça herdar bens aqueles que me amam; e eu encherei seus tesouros.
22 The LORD possessed Me in the beginning of His way, before His works of old.
22 O SENHOR me possuiu no princípio de seu caminho, antes de suas obras mais antigas.
23 I was anointed from everlasting, from the beginning, before the earth ever was.
23 Fui formada desde a eternidade, desde o princípio, antes do começo da terra.
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no springs heavy with water.
24 Quando não havia profundidades, fui gerada, quando não havia fontes abundantes de água.
25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills, I travailed;
25 Antes que os montes fossem estabelecidos, antes das colinas, eu fui gerada;
26 before He had made the earth, or the fields or the highest part of the dust of the world.
26 enquanto ainda ele não havia feito a terra, nem os campos, nem o princípio do pó do mundo.
27 When He prepared the heavens, I was there; when He set a circle upon the face of the deep;
27 Eu estava lá quando ele preparou os céus; quando ele traçou um círculo sobre a face do abismo;
28 when He set the clouds above; when He made the strong fountains of the deep;
28 quando ele estabeleceu as nuvens acima; quando fortificou as fontes do abismo;
29 when He gave to the sea its limit that the waters should not pass His command; when He appointed the foundations of the earth;
29 quando ele assinalou ao mar o seu decreto, para que as águas não traspassassem o seu mandamento, quando ele determinou os fundamentos da terra;
30 and I was a workman at His side; and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him;
30 então eu estava junto a ele, como um, criando com ele; e eu era diariamente o seu deleite, regozijando-me sempre diante dele;
31 rejoicing in the world, His earth; and My delight was with the sons of men.
31 regozijando-me na parte habitável de sua terra; e meus deleites estavam com os filhos dos homens.
32 And now listen to Me, O sons; for blessed are those who keep My ways.
32 Agora, pois, ó filhos, ouvi-me; porque abençoados são aqueles que guardam os meus caminhos.
33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and do not refuse it.
33 Ouvi a instrução, e sede sábios, não a rejeiteis.
34 Blessed is the man who hears Me, watching daily at My gates, waiting at the posts of My doors.
34 Abençoado é o homem que me ouve, vigiando diariamente aos meus portões, esperando às ombreiras das minhas portas.
35 For whoever finds Me finds life, and shall obtain favor from the LORD.
35 Porque o que me encontrar, encontrará a vida, e obterá o favor do SENHOR.
36 But he who sins against Me wrongs his own soul; all who hate Me love death.
36 Mas aquele que pecar contra mim, arruinará a própria alma; todos aqueles que me odeiam amam a morte.
