1 And when they drew near Jerusalem, and had come to Bethphage, to the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples,
1 E, quando eles se aproximaram de Jerusalém, e chegando a Betfagé, junto ao monte das Oliveiras, então enviou Jesus dois discípulos,
2 saying to them, Go into the village across from you. And immediately you will find an ass tied, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them to Me.
2 dizendo-lhes: Ide à aldeia que está defronte de vós, e logo encontrareis uma jumenta presa, e com ela um jumentinho; soltando-os, trazei-os para mim.
3 And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, The Lord has need of them, and immediately He will send them.
3 E, se algum homem vos disser alguma coisa, dizei: O Senhor necessita deles, e logo os enviará.
4 All this was done so that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying,
4 Tudo isso foi feito para que pudesse se cumprir o que foi dito pelo profeta, dizendo:
5 "Tell the daughter of Zion, Behold, your King comes to you, meek, and sitting on an ass, even a colt the foal of an ass."
5 Dizei à filha de Sião: Eis que o teu Rei vem a ti, manso, e montado sobre um jumento, e um jumentinho, cria de uma jumenta.
6 And the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them.
6 E, indo os discípulos, fazendo como Jesus lhes ordenara,
7 And they brought the ass, even the colt, and put their clothes on them, and He sat on them.
7 trouxeram a jumenta e o jumentinho, e sobre eles puseram as suas vestes, e eles o colocaram em cima.
8 And a very great crowd spread their garments in the way. Others cut down branches from the trees and spread them in the way.
8 E uma multidão muito grande estendia as suas vestes pelo caminho, e outros cortavam ramos de árvores, e os espalhavam pelo caminho.
9 And the crowds who went before, and those who followed, cried out, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!
9 E as multidões, que iam à frente e as que o seguiam, clamavam, dizendo: Hosana ao Filho de Davi! Bendito é o que vem em nome do Senhor. Hosana nas alturas!
10 And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?
10 E entrando ele em Jerusalém, toda a cidade estava agitada, dizendo: Quem é este?
11 And the crowd said, This is Jesus the prophet, from Nazareth of Galilee.
11 E a multidão dizia: Este é Jesus, o profeta de Nazaré da Galileia.
12 And Jesus went into the temple of God and cast out all those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of those who sold doves.
12 E entrando Jesus no templo de Deus, expulsou todos os que vendiam e compravam no templo, e derrubou as mesas dos cambistas e os bancos dos que vendiam pombas;
13 And He said to them, It is written, "My house shall be called the house of prayer"; but you have made it a den of thieves.
13 e disse-lhes: Está escrito: A minha casa será chamada casa de oração; mas vós a fazeis covil de ladrões.
14 And the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.
14 E foram ter com ele no templo cegos e coxos, e ele os curou.
15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things which He did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David, they were angry.
15 E vendo os principais sacerdotes e os escribas as coisas maravilhosas que ele fizera, e as crianças gritando no templo, e dizendo: Hosana ao Filho de Davi!, indignaram-se,
16 And they said to Him, Do you hear what these say? And Jesus said to them, Yes, have you never read, "Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings You have perfected praise?"
16 e perguntaram-lhe: Ouves o que estes dizem? E Jesus lhes disse: Sim; nunca lestes: Pela boca dos pequeninos e dos bebês de peito tiraste perfeito louvor?
17 And leaving them, He went out of the city to Bethany, and spent the night there.
17 E ele deixando-os, saiu da cidade para Betânia, e ele se alojou ali.
18 And returning early to the city, He hungered.
18 Ora, de manhã, voltando para a cidade, teve fome.
19 And seeing a fig tree in the way, He came to it and found nothing on it except leaves only. And He said to it, let no fruit grow on you forever. And immediately the fig tree withered away.
19 E, avistando uma figueira à beira do caminho, dela se aproximou, e não encontrou nada, senão algumas folhas, e disse-lhe: Jamais cresça fruto em ti, para sempre! E a figueira murchou imediatamente.
20 And when the disciples saw, they marveled, saying, How quickly the fig tree has withered away!
20 E, vendo isto os discípulos, admiraram-se, dizendo: Como murchou imediatamente a figueira?
21 Jesus answered and said to them, Truly I say to you, If you have faith and do not doubt, you shall not only do this miracle of the fig tree, but also; if you shall say to this mountain, Be moved and be thrown into the sea; it shall be done.
21 Jesus, respondendo, disse-lhes: Na verdade eu vos digo: Se tiverdes fé e não duvidardes, não só fareis o que foi feito à figueira, mas também, se a este monte disserdes: Move-te e lança-te no mar, isso será feito.
22 And all things, whatever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.
22 E todas as coisas, tudo o que pedirdes em oração, crendo, recebereis.
23 And when He had come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to Him as He was teaching, and said, By what authority do you do these things? And who gave you this authority?
23 Tendo Jesus entrado no templo, e estando ele a ensinar, os principais sacerdotes e os anciãos do povo se aproximaram dele, dizendo: Com que autoridade tu fazes estas coisas? E quem te deu tal autoridade?
24 And Jesus answered and said to them, I will also ask you one thing; which if you tell Me, I likewise will tell you by what authority I do these things.
24 E Jesus, respondendo, disse-lhes: Eu também vos perguntarei uma coisa; se me responderdes, eu de igual modo vos direi com que autoridade eu faço estas coisas.
25 The baptism of John, where was it from? From Heaven or from men? And they reasoned within themselves, saying, If we shall say, From Heaven, he will say to us, Why then did you not believe him?
25 O batismo de João, de onde era? Do céu, ou dos homens? E eles arrazoavam entre si, dizendo: Se nós dissermos: Do céu, ele nos dirá: Então por que não acreditastes nele?
26 But if we shall say From men, we fear the people; for all consider John as a prophet.
26 Mas, se nós dissermos: Dos homens, tememos o povo, porque todos consideram João como profeta.
27 And they answered Jesus and said, We cannot tell. And He said to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
27 E, respondendo a Jesus, disseram: Nós não podemos dizer. Ele disse-lhes: Nem eu vos digo com que autoridade eu faço estas coisas.
28 But what do you think? A man had two sons; and he came to the first and said, Son, go work in my vineyard today.
28 Mas que vos parece? Certo homem tinha dois filhos, e, dirigindo-se ao primeiro, disse: Filho, vai trabalhar hoje na minha vinha.
29 He answered and said, I will not. But afterwards he repented and went.
29 Ele respondeu, e disse: Eu não quero. Mas depois, arrependido, foi.
30 And he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir; and did not go.
30 E dirigindo-se ao segundo, falou-lhe de igual modo; e respondendo ele, disse: Eu vou, senhor; e não foi.
31 Which of the two did the will of his father? They said to Him, The first. Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you that the tax-collectors and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
31 Qual destes dois fez a vontade do seu pai? Disseram-lhe eles: O primeiro. Disse-lhes Jesus: Na verdade eu vos digo que os publicanos e as prostitutas entram antes de vós no reino de Deus.
32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him. But the tax-collectors and the harlots believed him. And when you had seen it, you did not repent afterwards so that you might believe him.
32 Pois João veio a vós no caminho da justiça, e não crestes nele; mas os publicanos e as prostitutas creram. E vós, vendo isto, nem depois vos arrependestes para crerdes nele.
33 Hear another parable. There was a certain housemaster who planted a vineyard and hedged it round about, and dug a winepress in it, and built a tower, and rented it to vinedressers, and went into a far country.
33 Ouvi outra parábola: Havia um certo chefe de família que plantou uma vinha, cercou-a, cavou nela um lagar, edificou uma torre, e a deixou com uns lavradores, e foi para uma terra distante.
34 And when the season of the fruits drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers to receive its fruits.
34 E, estando próximo o tempo dos frutos, ele enviou os seus servos aos lavradores, para que eles pudessem receber os seus frutos.
35 And the vinedressers took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another.
35 E os lavradores, tomaram os servos, bateram em um, e mataram outro, e a outro apedrejaram.
36 Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did the same to them.
36 Ele enviou ainda outros servos, em maior número do que os primeiros; e eles fizeram-lhes do mesmo modo.
37 But last of all he sent his son to them, saying, They will respect my son.
37 Mas, por último, enviou-lhes o seu filho, dizendo: Eles respeitarão ao meu filho.
38 But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and get hold of his inheritance.
38 Mas os lavradores vendo o filho, disseram entre si: Este é o herdeiro; vinde, matemo-lo, e apoderemo-nos da sua herança.
39 And taking him, they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
39 E, agarrando-o, lançaram-no fora da vinha e o mataram.
40 Therefore when the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?
40 Quando, pois, vier o senhor da vinha, o que ele fará com esses lavradores?
41 They said to Him, Bad men! He will miserably destroy them and will rent out his vineyard to other vinedressers who will give him the fruits in their seasons.
41 Dizem-lhe eles: Ele destruirá miseravelmente aqueles homens perversos, e deixará sua vinha com outros lavradores, que a seu tempo lhe entreguem os frutos.
42 Jesus said to them, Did you never read in the Scriptures, "The stone which the builders rejected, this One has become the head of the corner; this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?"
42 Jesus disse para eles: Nunca lestes nas escrituras: A pedra que os edificadores rejeitaram, essa se tornou a cabeça de esquina; isso é obra do Senhor, e é maravilhosa aos nossos olhos?
43 Therefore I say to you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you and given to a nation bringing out its fruits.
43 Portanto eu vos digo que o reino de Deus vos será tirado, e será dado a uma nação que dê os seus frutos.
44 And he who falls on this Stone shall be broken, but on whomever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
44 E, quem cair sobre esta pedra, despedaçar-se-á; mas aquele sobre quem ela cair será reduzido a pó.
45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they knew that He spoke of them.
45 E quando os principais sacerdotes e fariseus ouviram estas parábolas, entenderam que ele falava deles.
46 But seeking to lay hands on Him, they feared the crowd, because they held Him for a prophet.
46 Mas, embora procurassem prendê-lo, temiam a multidão, pois o tinham por profeta.
