Isaías 32

1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and rulers shall rule in judgment.
1 Eis aí um rei que irá reinar com justiça, e príncipes que irão governar com retidão.
2 And a man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a shelter from the tempest, like streams of water in a dry place, like the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.
2 Cada um deles servirá de esconderijo contra o vento, de refúgio contra a tempestade, de torrentes de água em lugares secos e de sombra de uma grande rocha em terra sedenta.
3 And the eyes of those who see shall not be dim, and the ears of those who hear shall listen.
3 Os olhos dos que veem não se fecharão, e os ouvidos dos que ouvem estarão atentos.
4 And the heart of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of those who stutter shall be ready to speak plainly.
4 O coração dos apressados saberá compreender, e a língua dos gagos falará com rapidez e clareza.
5 The fool shall no more be called noble, nor the miser said to be bountiful.
5 O tolo nunca mais será chamado de nobre, e do fraudulento nunca mais se dirá que é generoso.
6 For the fool will speak folly, and his heart work iniquity, to practice hypocrisy and to speak error against the LORD, to make the soul of the hungry empty, and he will take away the drink of the thirsty.
6 Porque o tolo fala tolices, e o seu coração só pensa em fazer o mal, para praticar a iniquidade e para proferir mentiras contra o para deixar o faminto sem comida e o sedento sem ter o que beber.
7 Also the weapons of the fool are evil; he thinks of wicked ways to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaks right.
7 Quanto ao fraudulento, os seus projetos são maus. Ele planeja intrigas para, com palavras mentirosas, arruinar os necessitados, mesmo quando a causa dos pobres é justa.
8 But the noble thinks noble things; and by noble things he shall stand.
8 Mas o nobre projeta coisas nobres e pela sua nobreza se mantém em pé.
9 Rise up, women who are at ease; hear my voice, careless daughters; listen to my speech.
9 Vocês, mulheres que vivem tranquilas, levantem-se e ouçam a minha voz; e vocês, filhas que estão confiantes, escutem o que vou dizer.
10 Many days and years you shall be troubled, careless women; for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.
10 Daqui a pouco mais de um ano, vocês, que estão confiantes, vão tremer de medo, porque a vindima se acabará, e não haverá colheita.
11 Tremble, women at ease; be troubled, careless ones; strip yourselves and make yourselves bare, and bind sackcloth on your loins.
11 Vocês, mulheres que vivem tranquilas, comecem a sentir pavor; e vocês, que estão confiantes, tremam de medo. Tirem as suas roupas, fiquem nuas, e vistam-se de pano de saco.
12 They shall mourn for the breasts, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.
12 Batam no peito e chorem por causa dos campos aprazíveis e por causa das vinhas frutíferas.
13 On the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, on all the houses of joy in the joyous city;
13 Sobre a terra do meu povo virão espinheiros e ervas daninhas. Chorem também por causa de todas as casas onde há júbilo, na cidade cheia de alegria.
14 because the palace shall be deserted, the multitude of the city shall be forsaken; instead the mound and tower shall be for dens forever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks
14 O palácio será abandonado, a cidade populosa ficará deserta. Ofel e a torre da guarda servirão de cavernas para sempre, para alegria dos jumentos selvagens e pastagem dos rebanhos.
15 until the Spirit is poured on us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is thought to be a forest.
15 Isso será assim até que se derrame sobre nós o Espírito lá do alto. Então o deserto se tornará em pomar, e o pomar será tido por bosque;
16 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.
16 a retidão habitará no deserto, e a justiça morará no pomar.
17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the work of righteousness shall be quietness and hope forever.
17 O efeito da justiça será paz, e o fruto da justiça será repouso e segurança, para sempre.
18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable home, and in secure dwellings and quiet resting places
18 O meu povo habitará em moradas de paz, em moradas bem seguras e em lugares quietos e tranquilos,
19 Though it hails, when the forest is felled, and the city laid low.
19 mesmo que haja granizo, caia o bosque e a cidade seja inteiramente arrasada.
20 Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who send out the feet of the ox and the ass.
20 Bem-aventurados são vocês, que semeiam junto a todas as águas e deixam os bois e jumentos pastar em liberdade.
