¹ A Psalm of David. Hear my prayer, O Jehovah give ear to my supplications; answer me in Your faithfulness, in Your righteousness;

¹ Ouve minha oração, S enhor ; escuta minha súplica! Responde-me, pois és fiel e justo.

² and do not enter into judgment with Your servant; for not anyone living is just in Your sight.

² Não leves teu servo a julgamento, pois diante de ti ninguém é inocente.

³ For the enemy has pursued my soul; he has beaten my life to the ground; he has made me dwell in darkness like the dead of old.

³ Meu inimigo me perseguiu; derrubou-me no chão e obrigou-me a morar em trevas, como as do túmulo.

⁴ And my spirit within me has fainted; my heart within me is stunned.

⁴ Vou perdendo todo o ânimo; estou tomado de medo.

⁵ I remember the days of old. I meditate on all Your works; I muse on the work of Your hands.

⁵ Lembro-me de tempos passados; reflito em todas as tuas obras e penso em tudo que fizeste.

⁶ I spread out my hands to You; my soul thirsts to You like a thirsty land. Selah.

⁷ O Jehovah, answer me quickly; my spirit is failing; do not hide Your face from me lest I be like the ones who go down to the Pit.

⁸ Cause me to hear Your mercy in the morning, for I do trust in You; cause me to know the way I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You.

⁸ Faze-me ouvir do teu amor a cada manhã, pois confio em ti. Mostra-me por onde devo andar, pois me entrego a ti.

⁹ O Jehovah, deliver me from my enemies; to You I have hidden.

⁹ Livra-me de meus inimigos, S enhor , pois me refugio em ti.

¹⁰ Teach me to do Your will; for You are my God; Your Spirit is good; lead me into the land of justice.

¹¹ O Jehovah, because of Your name, enliven me; in Your righteousness, bring my soul out of distress.

¹² And in Your mercy cut off my enemies; and destroy all those who afflict my soul; for I am Your servant.
