¹ And these are the priests and the Levites who went up with Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua: Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,

⁷ Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah. These were the rulers of the priests and their brothers in the days of Jeshua.

⁷ Salu, Amoque, Hilquias e Jedaías; estes foram os chefes dos sacerdotes e de seus irmãos, nos dias de Jesuá.

⁸ And the Levites were Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah. Mattaniah was over the thanksgiving, he and his brothers.

⁸ E os levitas: Jesuá, Binuí, Cadmiel, Serebias, Judá, Matanias; este e seus irmãos dirigiam os louvores.

⁹ And Bakbukiah and Unni, their brothers, were next to them in the watches.

¹⁰ And Jeshua fathered Joiakim, and Joiakim fathered Eliashib; and Eliashib fathered Joiada;

¹¹ and Joiada fathered Jonathan; and Jonathan fathered Jaddua.

¹² And in the days of Joiakim were priests, the rulers of the fathers, from the house of Seraiah was Meraiah; from Jeremiah was Hananiah;

²⁰ from Sallai was Kallai; from Amok was Eber;

²¹ from Hilkiah was Hashabiah; from Jedaiah was Nethaneel.

²² The Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, were written rulers of the fathers; also the priests until the reign of Darius the Persian.

²² Nos dias de Eliasibe, Joiada, Joanã e Jadua foram inscritos, dos levitas, os chefes das casas paternas; e assim também os dos sacerdotes, no reinado de Dário, o persa.

²³ The sons of the Levites, the rulers of the fathers, are written in the Book of the Matters of the Days, even until the days of Johanan the son of Eliashib.

²³ Os filhos de Levi, chefes de casas paternas, foram inscritos no livro das crônicas, até os dias de Joanã, filho de Eliasibe.

²⁴ And the rulers of the Levites were Hashabiah; Sherebiah; and Jeshua the son of Kadmiel, with their brothers next to them, to praise, to give thanks according to the command of David the man of God, watch by watch.

²⁴ Foram, pois, os chefes dos levitas: Hasabias, Serebias, Jesuá, filho de Cadmiel, e seus irmãos que ficavam defronte deles, turma contra turma, para louvarem e darem graças, segundo a ordem de Davi, homem de Deus.

²⁵ Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, and Akkub were guards of the gates, the guard at the thresholds of the gates.

²⁵ Matanias, Baquebuquias, Obadias, Mesulão, Talmom, e Acube eram porteiros, e faziam a guarda junto aos celeiros das portas.

²⁶ These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.

²⁶ Estes viveram nos dias de Joiaquim, filho de Jesuá, filho de Jozadaque, como também nos dias de Neemias, o governador, e do sacerdote Esdras, o escriba.

²⁷ And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, they sought the Levites out of all their places to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, and with thanksgiving, and with singing, with cymbals, harps, and with lyres.

²⁷ Ora, na dedicação dos muros de Jerusalém buscaram os levitas de todos os lugares, para os trazerem a Jerusalém, a fim de celebrarem a dedicação com alegria e com ações de graças, e com canto, címbalos, alaúdes e harpas.

²⁸ And the sons of the singers gathered themselves, both out of the plain country around Jerusalem, and from the villages of the inhabitants of Netophah;

²⁸ Ajuntaram-se os filhos dos cantores, tanto da campina dos arredores de Jerusalém, como das aldeias do netofatitas;

²⁹ and from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth (for the singers had built themselves villages all around Jerusalem).

²⁹ como também de Bete-Gilgal, e dos campos de Geba e Azmavete; pois os cantores tinham edificado para si aldeias ao redor de Jerusalém.

³⁰ And the priests and the Levites purified themselves. And they purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

³⁰ E os sacerdotes e os levitas se purificaram, e purificaram o povo, as portas e o muro.

³¹ Then I brought up the rulers of Judah on the wall, and chose two great thanksgiving choirs. One went to the right on the wall toward the Dung Gate,

³¹ Então fiz subir os príncipes de Judá sobre o muro, e constituí duas grandes companhias para darem graças e andarem em procissão, uma das quais foi para a direita sobre o muro, em direção à porta do monturo;

³² and after them went Hoshaiah, and half the rulers of Judah;

³² e após ela seguiam Hosaías, e a metade dos príncipes de Judá,

³³ even Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,

³³ e Azarias, Esdras, Mesulão,

³⁴ Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah;

³⁴ Judá, Benjamim, Semaías, e Jeremias;

³⁵ and many of the priests' sons with trumpets, Zechariah the son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Michaiah, the son of Zaccur, the son of Asaph,

³⁵ e dos filhos dos sacerdotes, levando trombetas, Zacarias, filho de Jonatã, filho de Semaías, filho de Matanias, filho de Micaías, filho de Zacur, filho de Asafe.

³⁶ and his brothers, Shemaiah, and Azareel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with the musical instruments of David the man of God. And Ezra the scribe was before them.

³⁶ e seus irmãos, Semaías, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Netanel, Judá e Hanâni, com os instrumento musicais de Davi, homem de Deus; e Esdras, o escriba, ia adiante deles.

³⁷ And at the Fountain Gate across from them, they went up by the stairs of the city of David, at the going up of the wall above the house of David, even to the Water Gate eastward.

³⁷ À entrada da porta da fonte subiram diretamente as escadas da cidade de Davi onde começa a subida do muro, acima da casa de Davi, até a porta das águas a leste.

³⁸ And the other thanksgiving choir was going to the opposite side , and I after them, and half of the people on the wall, from beyond the Tower of Furnaces, even to the Broad Wall;

³⁸ A outra companhia dos que davam graças foi para a esquerda, seguindo-os eu com a metade do povo, sobre o muro, passando pela torre dos fornos até a muralha larga,

³⁹ and from above the Ephraim Gate, and above the Old Gate, and above the Fish Gate, and the Tower of Hananeel, and the Tower of Meah, even to the Sheep Gate. And they stood still in the Prison Gate.

³⁹ e seguindo por cima da porta de Efraim, e da porta velha, e da porta dos peixes, e pela torre de Hananel, e a torre dos Cem até a porta das ovelhas; e pararam à porta da guarda.

⁴⁰ So the two thanksgiving choirs stood in the house of God, and I, and half of the rulers with me.

⁴⁰ Assim as duas companhias dos que davam graças pararam na casa de Deus, como também eu e a metade dos magistrados que estavam comigo,

⁴¹ And the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah and Hananiah were with trumpets.

⁴¹ e os sacerdotes Eliaquim, Maaséias, Miniamim, Micaías, Elioenai, Zacarias e Hananias, com trombetas,

⁴² And Maaseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer; and the singers sang aloud with Jezrahiah as their overseer.

⁴² com também Maaséias, Semaías, Eleazar, Uzi, Jeoanã, Malquias, Elão, e Ézer; e os cantores cantavam, tendo Jezraías por dirigente.

⁴³ And that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced. For God had made them rejoice with great joy. And the wives, and the children rejoiced so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even at a distance.

⁴³ Naquele dia ofereceram grandes sacrifícios, e se alegraram, pois Deus lhes dera motivo de grande alegria; também as mulheres e as crianças se alegraram, de modo que o júbilo de Jerusalém se fez ouvir longe.

⁴⁴ And at that time some were chosen over the rooms for the treasuries, for the offerings for the firstfruits, and for the tithes, to gather to them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the Law for the priests and the Levites. For Judah rejoiced for the priests, and for the Levites who waited.

⁴⁴ No mesmo dia foram nomeados homens sobre as câmaras do tesouro para as ofertas alçadas, as primícias e os dízimos, para nelas recolherem, dos campos, das cidades, os quinhões designados pela lei para os sacerdotes e para os levitas; pois Judá se alegrava por estarem os sacerdotes e os levitas no seu posto,

⁴⁵ And both the singers and the gatekeepers kept the watch of their God, and the watch of the cleansing, according to the command of David, of his son Solomon.

⁴⁵ observando os preceitos do seu Deus, e os da purificação, como também o fizeram os cantores e porteiros, conforme a ordem de Davi e de seu filho Salomão.

⁴⁶ For in the past days of David and Asaph, there were heads of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.

⁴⁶ Pois desde a antigüidade, já nos dias de Davi e de Asafe, havia um chefe dos cantores, e havia cânticos de louvor e de ação de graça a Deus.

⁴⁷ And all Israel gave the portions of the singers and the gatekeepers, everyday its portion, in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah. And they set the holy things apart for the Levites; and the Levites set apart for the sons of Aaron.

⁴⁷ Pelo que todo o Israel, nos dias de Zorobabel e nos dias de Neemias, dava aos cantores e aos porteiros as suas porções destinadas aos levitas, e os levitas separavam as porções destinadas aos filhos de Arão.
