1 And it happened when Jesus had finished these words, He moved from Galilee and came into the borders of Judea beyond the Jordan.
1 Quando Jesus acabou de proferir estas palavras, deixou a Galileia e foi para o território da Judeia, além do Jordão.
2 And great crowds followed Him, and He healed them there.
2 Grandes multidões o seguiram, e ele as curou ali.
3 And the Pharisees came near to Him, tempting Him, and saying to Him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every reason?
3 Alguns fariseus se aproximaram de Jesus e, testando-o, perguntaram: — É lícito ao homem repudiar a sua mulher por qualquer motivo?
4 But answering, He said to them, Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning "created them male and female"? Gen. 1:27
4 Jesus respondeu:
5 And He said, "For this reason a man shall leave father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." Gen. 2:24
5 e que disse: “Por isso o homem deixará o seu pai e a sua mãe e se unirá à sua mulher, tornando-se os dois uma só carne”?
6 So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let not man separate.
6 De modo que já não são mais dois, porém uma só carne. Portanto, que ninguém separe o que Deus ajuntou.
7 They said to Him, Why then did Moses command to "give a bill of divorce," "and to put her away"? Deut. 24:1
7 Os fariseus perguntaram: — Então por que Moisés ordenou dar uma carta de divórcio e repudiar a mulher?
8 He said to them, In view of your hardheartedness, Moses allowed you to put away your wives. But from the beginning it was not so.
8 Jesus respondeu:
9 And I say to you, Whoever shall put away his wife, if not for fornication, and shall marry another, that one commits adultery. And the one who marries her who was put away commits adultery.
9 Eu, porém, lhes digo: quem repudiar a sua mulher, não sendo por causa de relações sexuais ilícitas, e casar com outra comete adultério.
10 His disciples said to Him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
10 Os discípulos de Jesus disseram: — Se essa é a situação do homem em relação à sua mulher, não convém casar.
11 But He said to them, Not all receive this word, but those to whom it is given.
11 Jesus, porém, lhes respondeu:
12 For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother's womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who made eunuchs of themselves for the sake of the kingdom of Heaven. He who is able to receive, let him receive it.
12 Porque há eunucos de nascença; há outros a quem os homens fizeram tais; e há outros que se fizeram eunucos, por causa do Reino dos Céus. Quem é apto para aceitar isto, que aceite.
13 Then little children were brought to Him, that He might lay hands on them and might pray. But the disciples rebuked them.
13 Então trouxeram algumas crianças a Jesus para que ele lhes impusesse as mãos e orasse, mas os discípulos os repreendiam.
14 But Jesus said, Allow the little children and do not prevent them to come to Me, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven.
14 Jesus, porém, disse:
15 And laying hands on them, He went away from there.
15 E, tendo-lhes imposto as mãos, retirou-se dali.
16 And, behold, coming near, one said to Him, Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?
16 E eis que alguém, aproximando-se de Jesus, lhe perguntou: — Mestre, que farei de bom para alcançar a vida eterna?
17 And He said to him, Why do you call Me good? No one is good except One, God! But if you desire to enter into life, keep the commandments.
17 Jesus respondeu:
18 He said to Him, Which? And Jesus said, "You shall not commit murder, nor commit adultery, nor steal, nor bear false witness,
18 E ele lhe perguntou: — Quais? Jesus respondeu:
19 honor your father and your mother," and, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Ex. 20:12-16; Lev. 19:18; Deut. 5:16-20
19 honre o seu pai e a sua mãe e ame o seu próximo como você ama a si mesmo.”
20 The young man said to Him, All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?
20 O jovem disse: — Tudo isso tenho observado. O que me falta ainda?
21 Jesus said to him, If you desire to be perfect, go sell your property and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven; and come, follow Me.
21 Jesus respondeu:
22 But hearing the word, being grieved, the young man went away, for he had many possessions.
22 Mas o jovem, ouvindo esta palavra, retirou-se triste, porque era dono de muitas propriedades.
23 And Jesus said to His disciples, Truly I say to you that a rich man will with great difficulty enter into the kingdom of Heaven.
23 Então Jesus disse aos seus discípulos:
24 And again I say to you, It is easier for a camel to pass through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
24 E ainda lhes digo que é mais fácil um camelo passar pelo fundo de uma agulha do que um rico entrar no Reino de Deus.
25 And His disciples were exceedingly astonished when they heard this, saying, Who then can be saved?
25 Ouvindo isto, os discípulos ficaram muito admirados e perguntaram: — Sendo assim, quem pode ser salvo?
26 But looking on them , Jesus said to them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.
26 Jesus, olhando para eles, disse:
27 Then answering, Peter said to Him, Behold, we left all things and followed You. What then shall be to us?
27 Então Pedro, tomando a palavra, disse: — Eis que nós deixamos tudo e seguimos o senhor; que será, pois, de nós?
28 And Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, You who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of man sits on the throne of His glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
28 Jesus lhes respondeu:
29 And everyone who left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
29 E todo aquele que tiver deixado casas, irmãos, irmãs, pai, mãe, filhos ou campos, por causa do meu nome, receberá muitas vezes mais e herdará a vida eterna.
30 But many first ones shall be last, and last ones first.
30 Porém muitos primeiros serão últimos; e os últimos serão primeiros.
