1 But you, speak the things which are fitting for sound instruction.
1 Mas você ensine o que está de acordo com a sã doutrina.
2 Older men are to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in endurance.
2 Quanto aos homens idosos, que sejam moderados, respeitáveis, sensatos, sadios na fé, no amor e na perseverança.
3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not slanderous, not enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good,
3 Do mesmo modo, quanto às mulheres idosas, que tenham conduta reverente, não sejam caluniadoras, nem escravizadas a muito vinho. Que sejam mestras do bem,
4 in order that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands and to love their children,
4 a fim de instruírem as jovens recém-casadas a amar o marido e os filhos,
5 to be self-controlled, pure, busy at home, good, being subject to their own husbands, in order that the word of God may not be slandered.
5 a serem sensatas, puras, boas donas de casa, bondosas, sujeitas ao marido, para que a palavra de Deus não seja difamada.
6 Likewise, exhort the young men to be self-controlled,
6 Do mesmo modo, quanto aos mais jovens, exorte-os para que, em todas as coisas, sejam moderados.
7 concerning everything showing yourself to be an example of good deeds, in your teaching demonstrating soundness, dignity,
7 Seja você mesmo um exemplo de boas obras. No ensino, mostre integridade, reverência,
8 a sound message beyond reproach, in order that ⌞an opponent⌟ may be put to shame, because he has nothing bad to say concerning us.
8 linguagem sadia e irrepreensível, para que o adversário seja envergonhado, não tendo nada de mau a dizer a nosso respeito.
9 Slaves must be subject to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not to talk back,
9 Quanto aos servos, que sejam, em tudo, obedientes ao seu senhor, dando-lhe motivo de satisfação. Que não sejam respondões,
10 not stealing, but demonstrating all good faith, in order that they may do credit to the teaching of God our Savior in everything.
10 nem furtem, mas que deem prova de toda a fidelidade, a fim de que, em todas as coisas, manifestem a beleza da doutrina de Deus, nosso Salvador.
11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people,
11 Porque a graça de Deus se manifestou, trazendo salvação a todos.
12 training us in order that, denying impiety and worldly desires, we may live self-controlled and righteously and godly in the present age,
12 Ela nos educa para que, renegadas a impiedade e as paixões mundanas, vivamos neste mundo de forma sensata, justa e piedosa,
13 looking forward to the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
13 aguardando a bendita esperança e a manifestação da glória do nosso grande Deus e Salvador Jesus Cristo.
14 who gave himself for us, in order that he might redeem us from all lawlessness and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good deeds.
14 Ele deu a si mesmo por nós, a fim de nos remir de toda iniquidade e purificar, para si mesmo, um povo exclusivamente seu, dedicado à prática de boas obras.
15 Speak these things and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you.
15 Ensine estas coisas. Também exorte e repreenda com toda a autoridade. Que ninguém despreze você.
