1 And Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu each took his censer, and they put fire in them and placed incense on it; then they presented ⌞before⌟ Yahweh illegitimate fire, which he had not commanded them.
1 Nadabe e Abiú, filhos de Arão, tomaram cada um o seu incensário, puseram fogo dentro deles, e sobre o fogo colocaram incenso; e trouxeram fogo estranho diante da face do Senhor , algo que ele não lhes havia ordenado.
2 So fire went out ⌞from before⌟ Yahweh, and it consumed them so that they died ⌞before⌟ Yahweh.
2 Então saiu fogo de diante do Senhor e os consumiu; e morreram diante do Senhor .
3 Therefore Moses said to Aaron, “This is what Yahweh spoke, saying, ‘Among those who are close to me I will show myself holy, and ⌞in the presence of⌟ all the people I will display my glory.’ ” So Aaron was silent.
3 E Moisés disse a Arão: — Isto é o que o Porém Arão se calou.
4 Then Moses summoned Mishael and Elzaphan the sons of Uzziel, Aaron’s uncle, and he said to them, “Come forward. Carry your brothers from ⌞the front of⌟ the sanctuary to ⌞outside the camp⌟.”
4 Então Moisés chamou Misael e Elzafã, filhos de Uziel, tio de Arão, e disse-lhes: — Venham e tirem os seus parentes de diante do santuário, e levem-nos para fora do arraial.
5 So they came forward, and they carried them ⌞outside the camp⌟ in their tunics, just as Moses had ordered.
5 Chegaram-se, pois, e os levaram nas suas túnicas para fora do arraial, como Moisés tinha dito.
6 Then Moses said to Aaron and to his sons Eleazar and Ithamar, “You must not let your hair hang loosely, and you must not tear your garments, so that you will not die and he will be angry with all the community. But your brothers, all the house of Israel, may weep because of ⌞the burning that Yahweh caused⌟,
6 Moisés disse a Arão e aos seus filhos Eleazar e Itamar: — Não deixem os cabelos sem pentear, nem rasguem as suas roupas, para que vocês não morram, nem venha grande ira sobre toda a congregação; mas os seus irmãos, toda a casa de Israel, poderão lamentar o fogo que o
7 but you must not go out from the entrance to the tent of assembly lest you die, because Yahweh’s anointing oil is on you.” So they did according to Moses’ word.
7 Não se afastem da porta da tenda do encontro, para que vocês não morram; porque sobre vocês está o óleo da unção do Senhor . E fizeram conforme a palavra de Moisés.
8 Then Yahweh spoke to Aaron, saying,
8 Então o Senhor falou a Arão, dizendo:
9 “You and your sons with you may not drink wine or strong drink when you come to the tent of assembly, so that you will not die—it is a lasting statute for your generations—
9 — Você e seus filhos não devem beber vinho ou bebida forte, quando entrarem na tenda do encontro, para que não morram. Isso será estatuto perpétuo entre as suas gerações,
10 and to distinguish between the holy and the unholy, as well as between the unclean and the clean,
10 para que vocês façam diferença entre o santo e o profano e entre o impuro e o puro
11 and to teach the ⌞Israelites⌟ all the rules that Yahweh has spoken to them ⌞through⌟ Moses.”
11 e para ensinarem aos filhos de Israel todos os estatutos que o Senhor lhes tem falado por meio de Moisés.
12 Then Moses spoke to Aaron and to his sons Eleazar and Ithamar, “As for the remaining parts, take the remainder of the grain offering from Yahweh’s offerings made by fire and eat it, the unleavened bread, beside the altar, because it is ⌞a most holy thing⌟.
12 Moisés disse a Arão e aos filhos deste, Eleazar e Itamar, que ficaram vivos: — Peguem a oferta de cereais que restou das ofertas queimadas ao
13 And you shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your allotted portion and the allotted portion of your sons from Yahweh’s offerings made by fire, for so I have been commanded.
13 Comam-na em lugar santo, porque é a porção que foi dada a vocês e aos seus filhos, das ofertas queimadas do Senhor ; porque assim me foi ordenado.
14 And the wave offering’s breast section and the upper thigh of the contribution offering you must eat in a clean place, you and your sons and your daughters with you, because they are given as your allotted portion and your sons’ allotted portion from the sacrifices of the ⌞Israelites⌟’ fellowship offerings.
14 Também o peito da oferta movida e a coxa da oferta vocês devem comer em lugar puro, você, seus filhos e suas filhas, porque foram dados por sua porção e por porção de seus filhos, dos sacrifícios pacíficos dos filhos de Israel.
15 They must bring the thigh of the contribution offering and the breast section of the wave offering in addition to the offerings made by fire, consisting of the fat portions, to wave as a wave offering ⌞before⌟ Yahweh; and it will be for you and for your sons with you as a lasting rule, just as Yahweh had commanded.”
15 Trarão a coxa da oferta e o peito da oferta movida com as ofertas queimadas de gordura, para mover por oferta movida diante do Senhor ; esta é a porção que foi dada a você e aos seus filhos, por estatuto perpétuo, como o Senhor tem ordenado.
16 Then Moses sought all over for the goat of the sin offering and behold, it was burned up. So he was angry with Aaron’s remaining sons Eleazar and Ithamar, saying,
16 Moisés procurou diligentemente o bode da oferta pelo pecado, e eis que já tinha sido queimado. Por isso, Moisés indignou-se contra Eleazar e contra Itamar, os filhos de Arão que ficaram vivos, e disse:
17 “Why did you not eat the sin offering on the sanctuary’s site, because it is ⌞a most holy thing⌟? And he gave it to you to remove the community’s guilt, to make atonement for them ⌞before⌟ Yahweh.
17 — Por que vocês não comeram a oferta pelo pecado no lugar santo? Pois coisa santíssima é; e o Senhor a deu a vocês, para levarem a iniquidade da congregação, para fazerem expiação por eles diante do Senhor .
18 Look, its blood was not brought ⌞inside the sanctuary⌟. Certainly you should have eaten it in the sanctuary, as I commanded.”
18 Eis que desta oferta o sangue não foi trazido para dentro do santuário; certamente vocês deviam tê-la comido no santuário, como eu havia ordenado.
19 So Aaron said to Moses, “Look, today they presented their sin offering and their burnt offering ⌞before⌟ Yahweh, and things such as these have happened to me, and if I were to eat a sin offering today, would it have been good in Yahweh’s eyes?”
19 Arão respondeu a Moisés: — Eis que hoje meus filhos ofereceram a sua oferta pelo pecado e o seu holocausto diante do
20 When Moses heard, it was good in his eyes.
20 Quando Moisés ouviu isso, deu-se por satisfeito.
