1 And Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu each took his censer, and they put fire in them and placed incense on it; then they presented ⌞before⌟ Yahweh illegitimate fire, which he had not commanded them.
1 E Nadabe e Abiú, filhos de Arão, tomaram cada um o seu incensário, e puseram neles fogo, e puseram incenso sobre ele, e ofereceram fogo estranho perante o SENHOR, o qual não lhes fora ordenado.
2 So fire went out ⌞from before⌟ Yahweh, and it consumed them so that they died ⌞before⌟ Yahweh.
2 E saiu fogo de diante do SENHOR e os devorou; e eles morreram perante o SENHOR.
3 Therefore Moses said to Aaron, “This is what Yahweh spoke, saying, ‘Among those who are close to me I will show myself holy, and ⌞in the presence of⌟ all the people I will display my glory.’ ” So Aaron was silent.
3 Então disse Moisés a Arão: Isto é o que o SENHOR falou, dizendo: serei santificado naqueles que se chegarem a mim e diante de todo o povo eu serei glorificado. E Arão calou-se.
4 Then Moses summoned Mishael and Elzaphan the sons of Uzziel, Aaron’s uncle, and he said to them, “Come forward. Carry your brothers from ⌞the front of⌟ the sanctuary to ⌞outside the camp⌟.”
4 E Moisés chamou Misael e Elzafã, filhos de Uziel, tio de Arão, e disse-lhes: Chegai, tirai vossos irmãos de diante do santuário para fora do acampamento.
5 So they came forward, and they carried them ⌞outside the camp⌟ in their tunics, just as Moses had ordered.
5 Então eles chegaram e levaram-nos nas suas túnicas para fora do acampamento, como Moisés havia dito.
6 Then Moses said to Aaron and to his sons Eleazar and Ithamar, “You must not let your hair hang loosely, and you must not tear your garments, so that you will not die and he will be angry with all the community. But your brothers, all the house of Israel, may weep because of ⌞the burning that Yahweh caused⌟,
6 E Moisés disse a Arão, e a Eleazar e Itamar, seus filhos: não descobrireis as vossas cabeças, nem rasgareis vossas vestes, para que não morrais, nem venha a ira sobre todo o povo; mas que os vossos irmãos, toda a casa de Israel, lamentem o fogo que o SENHOR acendeu.
7 but you must not go out from the entrance to the tent of assembly lest you die, because Yahweh’s anointing oil is on you.” So they did according to Moses’ word.
7 E não saireis da porta do tabernáculo da congregação, para que não morrais; porque o óleo da unção do SENHOR está sobre vós. E eles fizeram conforme a palavra de Moisés.
8 Then Yahweh spoke to Aaron, saying,
8 E o SENHOR falou a Arão, dizendo:
9 “You and your sons with you may not drink wine or strong drink when you come to the tent of assembly, so that you will not die—it is a lasting statute for your generations—
9 Não bebereis vinho ou bebida forte, tu, e nem teus filhos contigo, quando entrardes no tabernáculo da congregação, para que não morrais; isso será um estatuto eterno por vossas gerações,
10 and to distinguish between the holy and the unholy, as well as between the unclean and the clean,
10 para fazer diferença entre o santo e o profano, e entre o impuro e o limpo,
11 and to teach the ⌞Israelites⌟ all the rules that Yahweh has spoken to them ⌞through⌟ Moses.”
11 e para ensinar aos filhos de Israel todos os estatutos que o SENHOR lhes tem falado pela mão de Moisés.
12 Then Moses spoke to Aaron and to his sons Eleazar and Ithamar, “As for the remaining parts, take the remainder of the grain offering from Yahweh’s offerings made by fire and eat it, the unleavened bread, beside the altar, because it is ⌞a most holy thing⌟.
12 E disse Moisés a Arão, e a Eleazar e a Itamar, seus filhos que ficaram: tomai a oferta de alimento, que restou das ofertas ao SENHOR feitas por fogo, e comei-a sem levedura junto ao altar, porquanto é uma coisa santíssima.
13 And you shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your allotted portion and the allotted portion of your sons from Yahweh’s offerings made by fire, for so I have been commanded.
13 E a comereis no santo lugar; porque esta é a tua porção, e a porção de teus filhos, dos sacrifícios ao SENHOR feitos por fogo; porque assim me foi ordenado.
14 And the wave offering’s breast section and the upper thigh of the contribution offering you must eat in a clean place, you and your sons and your daughters with you, because they are given as your allotted portion and your sons’ allotted portion from the sacrifices of the ⌞Israelites⌟’ fellowship offerings.
14 Também o peito da oferta movida e a espádua da oferta alçada comereis em lugar limpo, tu, e teus filhos, e tuas filhas contigo; porque foram dados por tua porção e por porção de teus filhos, dos sacrifícios das ofertas de paz dos filhos de Israel.
15 They must bring the thigh of the contribution offering and the breast section of the wave offering in addition to the offerings made by fire, consisting of the fat portions, to wave as a wave offering ⌞before⌟ Yahweh; and it will be for you and for your sons with you as a lasting rule, just as Yahweh had commanded.”
15 A espádua da oferta alçada e o peito da oferta movida trarão com as ofertas feitas por fogo de gordura, para mover por uma oferta movida perante o SENHOR; e para ti e teus filhos contigo por um estatuto eterno, como o SENHOR tem ordenado.
16 Then Moses sought all over for the goat of the sin offering and behold, it was burned up. So he was angry with Aaron’s remaining sons Eleazar and Ithamar, saying,
16 E Moisés diligentemente buscou o bode da oferta pelo pecado, e eis que estava queimado; e ele irou-se com Eleazar e Itamar, os filhos de Arão que ficaram vivos, dizendo:
17 “Why did you not eat the sin offering on the sanctuary’s site, because it is ⌞a most holy thing⌟? And he gave it to you to remove the community’s guilt, to make atonement for them ⌞before⌟ Yahweh.
17 Por que não comestes a oferta pelo pecado no santo lugar, sabendo que é coisa santíssima, e que Deus a deu a vós para que levásseis a iniquidade da congregação, para fazer expiação por eles diante do SENHOR?
18 Look, its blood was not brought ⌞inside the sanctuary⌟. Certainly you should have eaten it in the sanctuary, as I commanded.”
18 Eis que não se trouxe o seu sangue para dentro do santo lugar; certamente deveríeis tê-la comido no santo lugar, como eu ordenei.
19 So Aaron said to Moses, “Look, today they presented their sin offering and their burnt offering ⌞before⌟ Yahweh, and things such as these have happened to me, and if I were to eat a sin offering today, would it have been good in Yahweh’s eyes?”
19 E disse Arão a Moisés: Eis que hoje eles ofereceram a sua oferta pelo pecado e a sua oferta queimada perante o SENHOR, e tais coisas me sucederam; se eu tivesse comido hoje a oferta pelo pecado, deveria ter sido aceita aos olhos do SENHOR?
20 When Moses heard, it was good in his eyes.
20 E quando Moisés ouviu isto, ele ficou contente.
