Isaías 58

1 “Call with the throat; you must not keep back! lift up your voice like a trumpet, and declare to my people their rebellion, and to the house of Jacob their sins.
1 Clama em alta voz, não poupe, ergue tua voz como uma trombeta e mostra ao meu povo a transgressão dele, e à casa de Jacó os seus pecados.
2 Yet they seek me day by day, and they desire the knowledge of my ways like a nation that ⌞practiced⌟ righteousness, and had not forsaken the judgment of its God; they ask me for ⌞righteous judgments⌟, they desire the closeness of God.
2 Contudo, eles me buscam diariamente, e têm prazer em conhecer meus caminhos, como uma nação que fez justiça e não abandonou o estatuto de seu Deus. Eles me pedem os estatutos de justiça. Eles sentem prazer em aproximar-se de Deus.
3 ‘Why do we fast, and you do not see it? We humiliate our soul, and you do not notice it?’ Look! You find delight on the day of your fast, and you oppress all your workers!
3 Por conseguinte, nós temos jejuado, eles dizem, e tu não vês? Por conseguinte, temos nós afligido nossa alma e tu não tomas conhecimento? Eis que no dia de vosso jejum vós encontrais vossos próprios desejos e extorquis todos os vossos trabalhadores.
4 Look! You fast to quarrel and strife, and to strike with a ⌞wicked fist⌟. You shall not fast as you do ⌞today⌟, to ⌞make your voice heard⌟ on the height.
4 Eis que vós jejuais por rixa e discussão, e para afligir com o punho da perversidade. Vós não jejuareis como fazeis neste dia, para fazer a vossa voz ser ouvida no alto.
5 Is the fast I choose like this, a day for humankind to humiliate ⌞himself⌟? To bow his head like a reed, and ⌞make⌟ his bed on sackcloth and ashes; you call this a fast and a day of pleasure to Yahweh?
5 É este tal um jejum que eu tenha escolhido? Um dia para um homem afligir a sua alma? É isto para curvar a sua cabeça como um junco, e para estender vestimenta de pano de saco e cinzas debaixo de si? Chamarás tu isto um jejum e um dia aceitável ao SENHOR?
6 Is this not the fast I choose: to release the bonds of injustice, to untie the ropes of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and ⌞tear⌟ every yoke to pieces?
6 Não é este o jejum que eu tenho escolhido? Soltar os grilhões da perversidade, desfazer as pesadas cargas e permitir ao oprimido ir livre, e que vós quebreis todo jugo?
7 Is it not to break your bread for the hungry? You must bring ⌞home⌟ the poor, the homeless. When you see the naked, you must cover him, and you must not hide yourself from your ⌞relatives⌟.
7 Não é este, distribuir teu pão ao faminto, e que albergues o pobre que está errante em tua casa? Quando tu vires o nu, que o cubras; e que tu não te escondas do teu irmão?
8 Then your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your healing shall grow quickly. And your salvation shall go before you; the glory of Yahweh will be your rear guard.
8 Então, tua luz irromperá como a alva e tua cura brotará de repente. E tua justiça irá diante de ti; a glória do SENHOR será tua retaguarda.
9 Then you shall call, and Yahweh himself will answer. You shall cry for help, and he will say, ‘Here I am!’ If you remove from among you the yoke, the ⌞finger-pointing⌟ and ⌞evil speech⌟,
9 Então, tu chamarás e o SENHOR responderá; tu clamarás e ele dirá: Aqui eu estou. Se tu removeres do meio de ti a opressão, o dedo ameaçador e o falar arrogante.
10 if you offer your soul to the hungry, and you satisfy the appetite of the afflicted, then your light shall rise in the darkness, and your darkness will be like noon.
10 E se tu dilatares tua alma para o faminto e satisfizeres a alma aflita, então tua luz crescerá dentro das trevas, e tua escuridão será como o meio-dia.
11 And Yahweh will lead you continually, and satisfy your soul in a barren land, and he will strengthen your bones, and you shall be like a well-watered garden, and like a spring of water whose water does not fail.
11 E o SENHOR te guiará continuamente, e satisfará tua alma na seca, e dará vigor a teus ossos. E tu serás como um jardim regado e como um ribeiro de água, cujas águas não faltam.
12 And they shall rebuild ancient ruins from you; you shall erect the foundations of ⌞many generations,⌟ and ⌞you shall be called⌟ the bricklayer of the breach, the restorer of paths to live in.
12 E aqueles que descenderem de ti edificarão os lugares antigos desolados. Tu reconstruirás os alicerces de muitas gerações e tu serás chamado: O reparador da brecha, o restaurador das veredas para habitar.
13 If you hold your foot back from the Sabbath, from doing your affairs on ⌞my holy day⌟, if you call the Sabbath a pleasure, the holy day of Yahweh honorable, if you honor him ⌞more than⌟ doing your ways, than finding your affairs and speaking a word,
13 Se tu desviares teu pé do shabat, de fazeres o que gostas no meu santo dia, e chamares ao shabat um deleite, o santo do SENHOR, honrado, e o honrares, não fazendo teus próprios caminhos nem procurando teus próprios desejos, nem falando tuas próprias palavras.
14 then you shall take your pleasure in Yahweh, and I will make you ride upon the heights of the earth, and I will feed you the heritage of Jacob your ancestor, for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken.”
14 Então, tu te deleitarás no SENHOR; e eu te farei cavalgar sobre os lugares altos da terra, e te alimentarei com a herança de Jacó, teu pai, porque a boca do SENHOR tem falado isto.
