1 Listen to me, coastlands, and listen attentively, peoples from far away! Yahweh called me from the womb; from the ⌞body⌟ of my mother he made my name known.
1 Nações distantes, escutem o que eu, o servo de Deus, estou dizendo; prestem atenção, todos os povos do mundo! Eu ainda estava na barriga da minha mãe, quando o eu nem havia nascido, quando ele me chamou pelo nome.
2 And he ⌞made⌟ my mouth like a sharp sword; he hid me in the shadow of his hand, and he ⌞made⌟ me like an sharpened arrow; he hid me in his quiver.
2 Ele fez com que as minhas palavras fossem cortantes como uma espada afiada e me protegeu com a sua própria mão. Ele me fez igual a uma flecha pontuda, uma arma que ele guarda até o momento de ser usada.
3 And he said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will show my glory.”
3 Ele me disse: “Israel, você é o meu servo, e por meio de você vou mostrar a minha grandeza.”
4 But I myself said, “I have labored in vain; I have used up my strength for nothing and vanity! Nevertheless, my justice is with Yahweh, and my reward is with my God.”
4 Mas eu pensei: “Todo o meu trabalho não adiantou nada; todo o meu esforço foi à toa.” Mesmo assim, eu sei que o que o meu Deus me recompensará.
5 And now Yahweh says, who formed me from the womb as a servant for him, to bring Jacob back to him, and that Israel might not be gathered, for I am honored in the eyes of Yahweh, and my God has become my strength.
5 Quando eu ainda não havia nascido, o a fim de que eu reunisse o seu povo e o trouxesse de volta para ele. Sou muito estimado pelo o meu Deus é a minha força.
6 And he says, “It is trivial ⌞for you to be⌟ a servant for me, to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to bring back the preserved of Israel. I will give you as a light to the nations, to be my salvation to the end of the earth.”
6 O Senhor me disse: “Você não será apenas o meu servo que trará de volta os israelitas que ficaram vivos e criará de novo a nação de Israel. Eu farei também com que você seja uma luz para os outros povos a fim de levar a minha salvação ao mundo inteiro.”
7 Thus says Yahweh, the redeemer of Israel, his holy one, to the one who despises life, to the one who abhors the nation, to the slave of rulers: “Kings shall see and stand up; princes, and they shall bow down, for the sake of Yahweh, who is faithful, the holy one of Israel, and he has chosen you.”
7 O Senhor , o Santo Deus de Israel, o seu Salvador, fala com o seu servo, que é desprezado e odiado pelos povos e que é escravo de reis. O “Reis e príncipes verão o seu poder; eles virão e se ajoelharão aos seus pés em sinal de respeito. Pois eu, o eu, o Santo Deus de Israel, escolhi você para ser o meu servo.”
8 Thus says Yahweh: “I have answered you in a time of favor, and helped you on a day of salvation, and watched over you, and given you as a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to give the desolate hereditary property as an inheritance,
8 O Senhor Deus diz ao seu povo: “Quando chegar o tempo de mostrar a minha bondade, eu responderei ao seu pedido; quando chegar o dia de salvá-los, eu os ajudarei. Eu os protegerei e, por meio de vocês, farei uma construirei de novo o país de vocês e devolverei a vocês a terra que agora está arrasada.
9 saying to the ⌞prisoners⌟, “Come out!” to those who are in darkness, “Show yourselves!” they shall feed ⌞along⌟ the ways, and their pasturage shall be on all the barren heights.
9 Direi aos prisioneiros: ‘Saiam da prisão!’ E aos que vivem na escuridão direi: ‘Vocês estão livres!’ “Como ovelhas, eles pastarão perto dos caminhos e até mesmo nos montes pelados encontrarão pasto.
10 They shall not be hungry or thirsty, and heat and sun shall not strike them, for he who takes pity on them will lead them, and he will guide them to springs of water.
10 Não terão fome nem sede. Não serão castigados nem pelo sol nem pelos ventos quentes do deserto, pois eu tenho pena deles, e os guiarei, e os levarei até as fontes de água.
11 And I will ⌞make⌟ all my mountains like a road, and my highways shall lead up.
11 Abrirei uma estrada nas montanhas, prepararei um caminho plano por onde o meu povo passará.
12 Look! These shall come from afar, And look! These from the north and from the west and these from the land of Sinim.”
12 Eles voltarão de lugares distantes, do Norte e do Oeste, e de Assuã , no Sul.”
13 Sing for joy, heavens, and rejoice, earth! Mountains must break forth in rejoicing! For Yahweh has comforted his people, and he will take pity on his afflicted ones.
13 Cantem, ó céus, e alegre-se, ó terra! Montes, gritem de alegria! Pois o ele teve pena dos que estavam sofrendo.
14 But Zion said, “Yahweh has forsaken me, and the Lord has forgotten me!”
14 Mas o povo de Sião diz: “O Deus nos esqueceu.”
15 Can a woman forget her suckling, refrain from having compassion on the child of her womb? Indeed, these may forget, but I, I will not forget you!
15 O Senhor responde: “Será que uma mãe pode esquecer o seu bebê? Será que pode deixar de amar o seu próprio filho? Mesmo que isso acontecesse, eu nunca esqueceria vocês.
16 Look, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.
16 Jerusalém, o seu nome está escrito nas minhas mãos; eu nunca esqueço as suas muralhas.
17 Your children hasten; your destroyers and those who laid you waste depart from you.
17 Os que vão reconstruí-la estão chegando depressa, enquanto estão fugindo aqueles que a destruíram e arrasaram.
18 Lift your eyes up all around and see; all of them gather; they come to you. ⌞As surely as I live⌟, ⌞declares⌟ Yahweh, surely you shall put on all of them like an ornament, and you shall bind them on like a bride.
18 Olhe para todos os lados e veja o que está acontecendo! Os seus moradores estão voltando; eles estão chegando! Juro pela minha vida que todos eles são como joias que você usará com orgulho, assim como uma noiva se enfeita com as suas joias.
19 Surely your sites of ruins and desolate places and land of ruins, surely now you will be ⌞too cramped for your⌟ inhabitants, and those who engulfed you will be far away.
19 “O seu país foi arrasado e ficou abandonado, mas agora será pequeno demais para os que vêm morar ali; aqueles que deixaram você em ruínas serão levados para longe.
20 Yet the children ⌞born when you were bereaved⌟ will say in your ⌞hearing⌟, “The place is too cramped for me; ⌞make room⌟ for me so that I can dwell.”
20 Os que nasceram no cativeiro e que voltaram para morar em você lhe dirão um dia: ‘Este país é pequeno demais; precisamos de um lugar maior onde morar!’
21 Then you will say in your heart, “Who has borne me these?” And, “I was bereaved and barren, exiled and thrust away; so who raised these? Look at me! I was left alone; ⌞where have these come from⌟?”
21 Então você pensará assim: ‘Quem me fez mãe destes filhos? Eu, uma mulher que não podia ter filhos, abandonada, rejeitada e prisioneira — quem criou esses filhos para mim? Eu estava sozinha — de onde vieram todos eles?’ ”
22 Thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Look! I will lift my hand up to the nations, and I will raise my signal to the peoples, and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.
22 O Senhor Deus diz ao seu povo: “Levantarei a mão e darei um sinal de comando aos povos para que tragam de volta a Jerusalém os filhos e as filhas de vocês, carregando-os no colo e nos ombros.
23 And kings shall be your ⌞guardians⌟, and their queens your nurses. They shall bow down, ⌞faces⌟ to the ground, to you, and they will lick up the dust of your feet. Then you will know that I am Yahweh; those who await me shall not be ashamed.
23 Reis estrangeiros cuidarão das suas crianças, e rainhas serão as suas babás. Reis e rainhas se ajoelharão em frente de vocês, encostarão o rosto no chão e lamberão o pó dos pés de vocês. Então vocês ficarão sabendo que eu sou o e que os que confiam em mim nunca ficam desiludidos.”
24 Can war-booty be taken from the mighty? or can a captive of a righteous person be rescued?
24 Será que alguém pode tirar de um soldado as coisas que ele carrega depois da batalha? Ou será que alguém pode pôr em liberdade os que estão sendo levados como prisioneiros por um rei cruel?
25 But thus says Yahweh: “Indeed a captive of the mighty shall be taken, and the war-booty of the tyrant shall be rescued, for I myself will dispute with your opponent, and I myself will save your children.
25 O Senhor responde que sim e diz: “As coisas que o soldado carrega serão tiradas dele; os prisioneiros do rei cruel serão postos em liberdade. Pois eu lutarei contra os inimigos de vocês e eu mesmo salvarei os seus filhos.
26 And I will feed your oppressors their own flesh, and they shall be drunk with their blood as with wine. Then all flesh shall know that I am Yahweh, your savior and redeemer, the strong one of Jacob.”
26 Farei com que os seus inimigos comam a sua própria carne e bebam o seu próprio sangue como se fosse vinho. Então todos ficarão sabendo que eu, o que eu, o poderoso Deus de Israel, sou o seu Redentor.”
