Isaías 45

1 Thus says Yahweh to his anointed one, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped to subjugate nations before him, and I uncover the loins of kings to open doors before him, and the gates shall not be shut:
1 Assim diz o Senhor ao seu ungido, a Ciro, a quem tomo pela mão direita, para abater as nações ante a sua face, e para descingir os lombos dos reis, e para abrir diante dele as portas, que não se fecharão.
2 “I myself will go before you, and I will level the ⌞mountains⌟. I will break the doors of bronze and cut throughthe bars of iron.
2 Eu irei adiante de ti, endireitarei os caminhos tortuosos, quebrarei as portas de bronze e despedaçarei as trancas de ferro;
3 And I will give you the treasures of darkness and treasures of secret places so that you may know that I am Yahweh, the one who calls you by your name, the God of Israel,
3 dar-te-ei os tesouros escondidos e as riquezas encobertas, para que saibas que eu sou o Senhor , o Deus de Israel, que te chama pelo teu nome.
4 for the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen one. And I call you by your name; I give you a name of honor, though you do not know me.
4 Por amor do meu servo Jacó e de Israel, meu escolhido, eu te chamei pelo teu nome e te pus o sobrenome, ainda que não me conheces.
5 I am Yahweh, and there is none besides me; besides me there is no god. I gird you though you do not know me,
5 Eu sou o Senhor , e não há outro; além de mim não há Deus; eu te cingirei, ainda que não me conheces.
6 so that they may know from the rising of the sun and from the west that there is none besides me; I am Yahweh and there is none besides me.
6 Para que se saiba, até ao nascente do sol e até ao poente, que além de mim não há outro; eu sou o Senhor , e não há outro.
7 I form light and I create darkness; I make peace and I create evil; I am Yahweh; I do all these things.
7 Eu formo a luz e crio as trevas; faço a paz e crio o mal; eu, o Senhor , faço todas estas coisas.
8 Trickle, O heavens, from above, and let clouds trickle with righteousness; let the earth open so that salvation may be fruitful, and let it cause righteousness to sprout along with it. I myself, Yahweh, have created it.
8 Destilai, ó céus, dessas alturas, e as nuvens chovam justiça; abra-se a terra e produza a salvação, e juntamente com ela brote a justiça; eu, o Senhor , as criei.
9 Woe to the one who strives with his ⌞maker⌟, a potsherd among potsherds of earth! Does the clay say to the one who fashions it, ‘What are you making?’ and ‘Your work has no hands’?
9 Ai daquele que contende com o seu Criador! E não passa de um caco de barro entre outros cacos. Acaso, dirá o barro ao que lhe dá forma: Que fazes? Ou: A tua obra não tem alça.
10 Woe to the one who says to a father, ‘What you are begetting?’ or to a woman, ‘With what are you in labor?’ ”
10 Ai daquele que diz ao pai: Por que geras? E à mulher: Por que dás à luz?
11 Thus says Yahweh, the holy one of Israel, and its ⌞maker⌟: “Ask me of the things to come ⌞about⌟ my children, and you command me about the work of my hands.
11 Assim diz o Senhor , o Santo de Israel, aquele que o formou: Quereis, acaso, saber as coisas futuras? Quereis dar ordens acerca de meus filhos e acerca das obras de minhas mãos?
12 I myself made the earth, and I created humankind upon it. I, my hands, stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host.
12 Eu fiz a terra e criei nela o homem; as minhas mãos estenderam os céus, e a todos os seus exércitos dei as minhas ordens.
13 I myself have stirred him up in righteousness, and I will make all his paths smooth. He himself shall build my city, and he shall set my exiles free, not for price or a gift,” says Yahweh of hosts.
13 Eu, na minha justiça, suscitei a Ciro e todos os seus caminhos endireitarei; ele edificará a minha cidade e libertará os meus exilados, não por preço nem por presentes, diz o Senhor dos Exércitos.
14 Thus says Yahweh: “The acquisition of Egypt and the merchandise of Cush and the Sabeans, tall men, shall pass over to you; they shall be yours, and they shall walk behind you. They shall pass over in chains, and they shall bow down to you; they will pray to you: ‘Surely God is with you, and there is no other. Besides him there is no God.’ ”
14 Assim diz o Senhor : A riqueza do Egito, e as mercadorias da Etiópia, e os sabeus, homens de grande estatura, passarão ao teu poder e serão teus; seguir-te-ão, irão em grilhões, diante de ti se prostrarão e te farão as suas súplicas, dizendo: Só contigo está Deus, e não há outro que seja Deus.
15 Surely you are a God who keeps yourself hidden, God of Israel, the savior.
15 Verdadeiramente, tu és Deus misterioso, ó Deus de Israel, ó Salvador.
16 All of them are ashamed and indeed humiliated; the craftsmen of idols go together in insult.
16 Envergonhar-se-ão e serão confundidos todos eles; cairão, à uma, em ignomínia os que fabricam ídolos.
17 Israel is saved by Yahweh with everlasting salvation; you shall not be ashamed, and you shall not be humiliated ⌞to all eternity⌟.
17 Israel, porém, será salvo pelo Senhor com salvação eterna; não sereis envergonhados, nem confundidos em toda a eternidade.
18 For thus says Yahweh, ⌞who created⌟ the heavens, he is God, ⌞who formed⌟ the earth and ⌞who made⌟ it. He himself established it; he did not create it as emptiness— he formed it for inhabiting. “I am Yahweh and there is none besides me.
18 Porque assim diz o Senhor , que criou os céus, o Deus que formou a terra, que a fez e a estabeleceu; que não a criou para ser um caos, mas para ser habitada: Eu sou o Senhor , e não há outro.
19 I have spoken not in secrecy, in a place, a land, of darkness, I have not said to the descendants of Jacob, ‘Seek me ⌞in vain⌟!’ I, Yahweh, am speaking righteousness, declaring uprightness.
19 Não falei em segredo, nem em lugar algum de trevas da terra; não disse à descendência de Jacó: Buscai-me em vão; eu, o Senhor , falo a verdade e proclamo o que é direito.
20 Assemble and come; draw near together, survivors of the nations! They do not know, those who carry ⌞their wooden idols⌟ and pray to a god who cannot save.
20 Congregai-vos e vinde; chegai-vos todos juntos, vós que escapastes das nações; nada sabem os que carregam o lenho das suas imagens de escultura e fazem súplicas a um deus que não pode salvar.
21 Declare and present your case, also let them consult together! Who ⌞made this known⌟ from ⌞former times⌟, declared it from ⌞of old⌟? Was it not I, Yahweh? And there is no other god besides me, a righteous God besides me, and no savior besides me.
21 Declarai e apresentai as vossas razões. Que tomem conselho uns com os outros. Quem fez ouvir isto desde a antiguidade? Quem desde aquele tempo o anunciou? Porventura, não o fiz eu, o Senhor ? Pois não há outro Deus, senão eu, Deus justo e Salvador não há além de mim.
22 Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is none besides me.
22 Olhai para mim e sede salvos, vós, todos os limites da terra; porque eu sou Deus, e não há outro.
23 I have sworn by myself; a word that shall not return has gone forth from my mouth in righteousness: ‘Every knee shall kneel down to me; every tongue shall swear.’
23 Por mim mesmo tenho jurado; da minha boca saiu o que é justo, e a minha palavra não tornará atrás. Diante de mim se dobrará todo joelho, e jurará toda língua.
24 ‘Only in Yahweh,’ one shall say to me, ‘are righteousness and strength.’ He shall come to him, and all those who were angry with him shall be ashamed.
24 De mim se dirá: Tão somente no Senhor há justiça e força; até ele virão e serão envergonhados todos os que se irritarem contra ele.
25 In Yahweh all the offspring of Israel shall be in the right, and they shall boast.”
25 Mas no Senhor será justificada toda a descendência de Israel e nele se gloriará.
