1 The hand of Yahweh was upon me, and he brought me by the Spirit of Yahweh, and he ⌞let me rest⌟ in the midst of the valley, and it was full of bones.
1 Veio sobre mim a mão do Senhor ; ele me levou pelo Espírito do Senhor e me deixou no meio de um vale que estava cheio de ossos,
2 And he led me ⌞all around⌟ over them, and look, very many on the surface of the valley, and look, very dry.
2 e me fez andar ao redor deles; eram mui numerosos na superfície do vale e estavam sequíssimos.
3 And he said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I said, “Lord Yahweh, you know.”
3 Então, me perguntou: Filho do homem, acaso, poderão reviver estes ossos? Respondi: Senhor Deus, tu o sabes.
4 And he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and you must say to them, to the dry bones, ‘Hear the word of Yahweh!
4 Disse-me ele: Profetiza a estes ossos e dize-lhes: Ossos secos, ouvi a palavra do Senhor .
5 Thus says the Lord Yahweh to these bones: “Look! I am bringing into you breath, and you will live!
5 Assim diz o Senhor Deus a estes ossos: Eis que farei entrar o espírito em vós, e vivereis.
6 And I will lay on you sinews, and I will let flesh come upon you, and I will cover you over with skin, and I will put breath into you, and you will live, and you will know that I am Yahweh.” ’ ”
6 Porei tendões sobre vós, farei crescer carne sobre vós, sobre vós estenderei pele e porei em vós o espírito, e vivereis. E sabereis que eu sou o Senhor .
7 And I prophesied ⌞just as⌟ I had been commanded, and there was a sound at my prophesying, and look! A rattling, and they came together—the bones! Bone to its bone!
7 Então, profetizei segundo me fora ordenado; enquanto eu profetizava, houve um ruído, um barulho de ossos que batiam contra ossos e se ajuntavam, cada osso ao seu osso.
8 And I looked, and indeed, sinews were on them, and flesh went up, and skin covered over them ⌞upward⌟, but breath was not in them.
8 Olhei, e eis que havia tendões sobre eles, e cresceram as carnes, e se estendeu a pele sobre eles; mas não havia neles o espírito.
9 And he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and you must say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord Yahweh ⌞from the four winds⌟, “Come, O spirit and breath, on these dead ones, so that they may live!” ’ ”
9 Então, ele me disse: Profetiza ao espírito, profetiza, ó filho do homem, e dize-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Vem dos quatro ventos, ó espírito, e assopra sobre estes mortos, para que vivam.
10 And I prophesied ⌞as⌟ he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they became alive, and they stood on their feet, a very, very large group.
10 Profetizei como ele me ordenara, e o espírito entrou neles, e viveram e se puseram em pé, um exército sobremodo numeroso.
11 And he said to me, “Son of man, these bones are all of the house of Israel; look! they are saying, ‘Our bones are dried up, and our hope is destroyed; ⌞we are cut off as far as we are concerned⌟.’
11 Então, me disse: Filho do homem, estes ossos são toda a casa de Israel. Eis que dizem: Os nossos ossos se secaram, e pereceu a nossa esperança; estamos de todo exterminados.
12 Therefore prophesy, and you must say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Look! I am opening your graves, and I will bring you up from your graves, my people, and I will bring you to the land of Israel!
12 Portanto, profetiza e dize-lhes: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Eis que abrirei a vossa sepultura, e vos farei sair dela, ó povo meu, e vos trarei à terra de Israel.
13 And you will know that I am Yahweh when I open your graves when I bring you up from your graves, my people!
13 Sabereis que eu sou o Senhor , quando eu abrir a vossa sepultura e vos fizer sair dela, ó povo meu.
14 And I will put my breath into you so that you may live, and I will cause you to rest on your soil, and you will know that I, Yahweh, I have spoken, and I will act!” ’ ⌞declares⌟ Yahweh.”
14 Porei em vós o meu Espírito, e vivereis, e vos estabelecerei na vossa própria terra. Então, sabereis que eu, o Senhor , disse isto e o fiz, diz o Senhor .
15 And the word of Yahweh ⌞came⌟ to me, ⌞saying⌟,
15 Veio a mim a palavra do Senhor , dizendo:
16 “And you, son of man, take for yourself ⌞a piece of wood⌟, and write on it, ‘For Judah and for the ⌞Israelites⌟ his associates,’ and take another piece of wood, and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the piece of wood of Ephraim and all of the house of Israel his associates.’
16 Tu, pois, ó filho do homem, toma um pedaço de madeira e escreve nele: Para Judá e para os filhos de Israel, seus companheiros; depois, toma outro pedaço de madeira e escreve nele: Para José, pedaço de madeira de Efraim, e para toda a casa de Israel, seus companheiros.
17 And join them one to the other with respect to you as one piece of wood, so that they may become one in your hand.
17 Ajunta-os um ao outro, faze deles um só pedaço, para que se tornem apenas um na tua mão.
18 ⌞When⌟ ⌞your people⌟ say to you, ⌞saying⌟, ‘Will you not inform us as to what these actions mean for you?’
18 Quando te falarem os filhos do teu povo, dizendo: Não nos revelarás o que significam estas coisas?
19 Then speak to them, ‘Thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Look! I am taking the piece of wood for Joseph that is in the hand of Ephraim and the tribes of Israel its associates, and I will put them on it, the piece of wood of Judah, and I will make them into one piece of wood, so that they be one in my hand.’ ”
19 Tu lhes dirás: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Eis que tomarei o pedaço de madeira de José, que esteve na mão de Efraim, e das tribos de Israel, suas companheiras, e o ajuntarei ao pedaço de Judá, e farei deles um só pedaço, e se tornarão apenas um na minha mão.
20 And the pieces of wood on which you wrote will be in your hand before their eyes.
20 Os pedaços de madeira em que houveres escrito estarão na tua mão, perante eles.
21 And speak to them, ‘Thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Look! I am taking the ⌞Israelites⌟ from among ⌞the nations to which they went⌟, and I will gather them from ⌞everywhere⌟, and I will bring them to their own soil.
21 Dize-lhes, pois: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Eis que eu tomarei os filhos de Israel de entre as nações para onde eles foram, e os congregarei de todas as partes, e os levarei para a sua própria terra.
22 And I will make them into one nation in the land on the mountains of Israel, and ⌞they will all have one king as their king⌟, and they will not again be two nations and will not again divide into two kingdoms again.
22 Farei deles uma só nação na terra, nos montes de Israel, e um só rei será rei de todos eles. Nunca mais serão duas nações; nunca mais para o futuro se dividirão em dois reinos.
23 And they will not defile themselves again with their idols and with vile idols and with all of their transgressions, and I will save them from all of their apostasy ⌞by which they sinned⌟, and I will cleanse them and they will be for me as a people and I, I will be for them as God.
23 Nunca mais se contaminarão com os seus ídolos, nem com as suas abominações, nem com qualquer das suas transgressões; livrá-los-ei de todas as suas apostasias em que pecaram e os purificarei. Assim, eles serão o meu povo, e eu serei o seu Deus.
24 “ ‘ “And my servant David will be king over them, and one shepherd will be for all of them, and in my regulations they will go, and my statutes they will observe, and they will do them.
24 O meu servo Davi reinará sobre eles; todos eles terão um só pastor, andarão nos meus juízos, guardarão os meus estatutos e os observarão.
25 And they will dwell on the land that I gave to my servant, to Jacob, ⌞in which your ancestors dwelled⌟, and they will dwell on it, they and their children and the children of their children ⌞forever⌟, and my servant David will be a leader for them ⌞forever⌟.
25 Habitarão na terra que dei a meu servo Jacó, na qual vossos pais habitaram; habitarão nela, eles e seus filhos e os filhos de seus filhos, para sempre; e Davi, meu servo, será seu príncipe eternamente.
26 And I will make with them a covenant of peace; ⌞an everlasting covenant⌟ it will be with them. And I will establish them, and I will cause them to increase, and I will put my sanctuary in the midst of them ⌞forever⌟.
26 Farei com eles aliança de paz; será aliança perpétua. Estabelecê-los-ei, e os multiplicarei, e porei o meu santuário no meio deles, para sempre.
27 And my tabernacle will be with them, and I will be for them as God, and they will be to me as a nation.
27 O meu tabernáculo estará com eles; eu serei o seu Deus, e eles serão o meu povo.
28 And the nations will know that I, Yahweh, am consecrating Israel when my sanctuary is in the midst of them ⌞forever⌟.” ’ ”
28 As nações saberão que eu sou o Senhor que santifico a Israel, quando o meu santuário estiver para sempre no meio deles.
