1 And he said to me, “Son of man, stand on your feet, so that I can speak with you.”
1 Esta voz me disse: Filho do homem, põe-te em pé, e falarei contigo.
2 And the Spirit came into me as he was speaking to me, and it set me on my feet, and I heard the one speaking to me.
2 Então, entrou em mim o Espírito, quando falava comigo, e me pôs em pé, e ouvi o que me falava.
3 And he said to me, “Son of man, I am sending you to the ⌞Israelites⌟, to nations who are rebelling, who rebelled against me, they and their ancestors, they transgressed against me ⌞until this very day⌟.
3 Ele me disse: Filho do homem, eu te envio aos filhos de Israel, às nações rebeldes que se insurgiram contra mim; eles e seus pais prevaricaram contra mim, até precisamente ao dia de hoje.
4 And the children are ⌞impudent⌟ and ⌞stubborn⌟, and so I am sending you to them, and you must say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord Yahweh!’
4 Os filhos são de duro semblante e obstinados de coração; eu te envio a eles, e lhes dirás: Assim diz o Senhor Deus.
5 And they, whether they listen or whether they fail to listen, for they are a rebellious house, they will know that a prophet was in their midst.
5 Eles, quer ouçam quer deixem de ouvir, porque são casa rebelde, hão de saber que esteve no meio deles um profeta.
6 And you, son of man, you must not be afraid of them, and you must not be afraid of their words, because briers and thorns are with you, and you are sitting among scorpions. You must not be afraid of their words, and you must not be dismayed because of their ⌞looks⌟, for they are a rebellious house.
6 Tu, ó filho do homem, não os temas, nem temas as suas palavras, ainda que haja sarças e espinhos para contigo, e tu habites com escorpiões; não temas as suas palavras, nem te assustes com o rosto deles, porque são casa rebelde.
7 And you must speak my words to them whether they listen or whether they fail to listen, for they are rebellious.
7 Mas tu lhes dirás as minhas palavras, quer ouçam quer deixem de ouvir, pois são rebeldes.
8 And you, son of man, hear what I am speaking to you: you must not be rebellious like the house of rebellion. Open your mouth and eat what I am giving to you.”
8 Tu, ó filho do homem, ouve o que eu te digo, não te insurjas como a casa rebelde; abre a boca e come o que eu te dou.
9 And I looked, and look! There was a hand stretched out to me, and look! In it was ⌞a scroll with writing⌟.
9 Então, vi, e eis que certa mão se estendia para mim, e nela se achava o rolo de um livro.
10 And he rolled it out ⌞before me⌟, and it was written on the front and back, and there were written on it laments and mourning and wailing.
10 Estendeu-o diante de mim, e estava escrito por dentro e por fora; nele, estavam escritas lamentações, suspiros e ais.
