1 “Now at that time, Michael, the great prince, will arise, ⌞the protector⌟ over the sons of your people, and it will be a time of distress that has not been since your people ⌞have been⌟ a nation until that time. And at that time your people will escape, ⌞everyone who is found⌟ written in the scroll.
1 "Naquela ocasião Miguel, o grande príncipe que protege o seu povo, se levantará. Haverá um tempo de angústia tal como nunca houve desde o início das nações e até então. Mas naquela ocasião o seu povo, todo aquele cujo nome está escrito no livro, será liberto.
2 And many from those sleeping ⌞in the dusty ground⌟ will awake, some to ⌞everlasting life⌟ and some to disgrace and ⌞everlasting contempt⌟.
2 Multidões que dormem no pó da terra acordarão: uns para a vida eterna, outros para a vergonha, para o desprezo eterno.
3 But the ones having insight will shine like the brightness of the expanse, and the ones providing justice for the many will be like the stars ⌞forever and ever⌟.
3 Aqueles que são sábios reluzirão como o brilho do céu, e aqueles que conduzem muitos à justiça serão como as estrelas, para todo o sempre.
4 But you, Daniel, keep the words secret and seal the scroll until the time of the end; many will run back and forth and knowledge will increase.”
4 Mas você, Daniel, feche com um selo as palavras do livro até o tempo do fim. Muitos irão ali e acolá para aumentarem o conhecimento".
5 Then I looked, I myself, Daniel, and look, there were two others standing: ⌞one on this bank of the stream and one on the other⌟.
5 Então eu, Daniel, olhei, e diante de mim estavam dois outros, um na margem de cá do rio e outro na margem de lá.
6 Then he said to the man who was clothed in linen who was above the water of the stream, “⌞How long until⌟ the end of the wonders?”
6 Um deles disse ao homem vestido de linho, que estava acima das águas do rio: "Quanto tempo decorrerá antes de se cumprirem essas coisas estupendas? "
7 And I heard the man who was clothed in linen who was above the water of the stream, and he raised his right hand and his left hand to heaven and he swore ⌞by the one who lives forever⌟ that an appointed time, appointed times, and half an appointed time would pass when the shattering of ⌞the power of the holy people⌟ ⌞would be completed⌟; then all these things will be accomplished.
7 O homem vestido de linho, que estava acima das águas do rio, ergueu para o céu a mão direita e a mão esquerda, e eu o ouvi jurar por aquele que vive para sempre, dizendo: "Haverá um tempo, tempos e meio tempo. Quando o poder do povo santo for finalmente quebrado, todas essas coisas se cumprirão".
8 Now I myself heard, but I did not understand, and I said, “My lord, what will be the outcome of these things?”
8 Eu ouvi, mas não compreendi. Por isso perguntei: "Meu senhor, qual será o resultado disso tudo? "
9 And he said, “Go, Daniel, for the words are secret and are sealed up until the time of the end.
9 Ele respondeu: "Siga o seu caminho, Daniel, pois as palavras estão seladas e lacradas até o tempo do fim.
10 Many will be purified and will be cleansed and will be refined, but the wicked will act wickedly ⌞and none of the wicked will understand⌟, but ⌞those who have insight⌟ will understand.
10 Muitos serão purificados, alvejados e refinados, mas os ímpios continuarão ímpios. Nenhum dos ímpios levará isto em consideração, mas os sábios sim.
11 And from the time the regular burnt offering is removed and the abomination that causes desolation ⌞is set up⌟ there will be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.
11 "A partir do momento em que for abolido o sacrifício diário e for colocado o sacrilégio terrível, haverá mil e duzentos e noventa dias.
12 Happy is the one who is persevering, and attains to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
12 Feliz aquele que esperar e alcançar o fim dos mil trezentos e trinta e cinco dias.
13 But you, go on to the end and rest, and you will arise for your allotted inheritance at the end of the days.”
13 "Quanto a você, siga o seu caminho até o fim. Você descansará, e então, no final dos dias, você se levantará para receber a herança que lhe cabe".
