¹ Unto the end. With Praises. A Psalm of Asaph. A Canticle to the Assyrians.

¹ Graças te rendemos, ó Deus; graças te rendemos, e invocamos o teu nome, e declaramos as tuas maravilhas.

² In Judea, God is known. In Israel, his name is great.

² Pois disseste: Hei de aproveitar o tempo determinado; hei de julgar retamente.

³ And his place has been formed with peace. And his dwelling place is in Zion.

³ Vacilem a terra e todos os seus moradores, ainda assim eu firmarei as suas colunas.

⁴ In that place, he has broken the powers of the bows, the shield, the sword, and the battle.

⁴ Digo aos soberbos: não sejais arrogantes; e aos ímpios: não levanteis a vossa força.

⁵ You illuminate wondrously from the mountains of eternity.

⁵ Não levanteis altivamente a vossa força, nem faleis com insolência contra a Rocha.

⁶ All the foolish of heart have been disturbed. They have slept their sleep, and all the men of riches have found nothing in their hands.

⁶ Porque não é do Oriente, não é do Ocidente, nem do deserto que vem o auxílio.

⁷ At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, those who were mounted on horseback have fallen asleep.

⁷ Deus é o juiz; a um abate, a outro exalta.

⁸ You are terrible, and so, who can withstand you? From thence is your wrath.

⁸ Porque na mão do Senhor há um cálice cujo vinho espuma, cheio de mistura; dele dá a beber; sorvem-no, até às escórias, todos os ímpios da terra.

⁹ You have caused judgment to be heard from heaven. The earth trembled and was quieted,

⁹ Quanto a mim, exultarei para sempre; salmodiarei louvores ao Deus de Jacó.

¹⁰ when God rose up in judgment in order to bring salvation to all the meek of the earth.

¹⁰ Abaterei as forças dos ímpios; mas a força dos justos será exaltada.

¹¹ For the thinking of man will confess to you, and the legacy of his thinking will keep a feast day to you.
