1 Ja̱je paꞌiye sëte siꞌaye coꞌayere je̱ocojë̱ꞌë, siꞌaye cosoyere, coa cayere, yecohuaꞌi payere ëa ñañere, cuiꞌne yecohuaꞌire coꞌa coca cayere je̱ocojë̱ꞌë.
1 Deponde, pois, toda malícia, toda astúcia, fingimentos, invejas e toda espécie de maledicência.
2 Je̱oconi tsi̱ mañajaꞌa co̱asicohuaꞌi oje yëyeje̱ paꞌye mësaruje̱ joyo paꞌi cocare yëjë̱ꞌë, huasosicohuaꞌi ai deꞌoyere cajë.
2 as newborn babes desire earnestly the pure mental milk of the word, that by it ye may grow up to salvation,
3 Mësarupi Ëjaë deꞌoquërepa paꞌiyere nuñerepa ña ti̱ꞌasicohuaꞌi pani ja̱je yëcohuaꞌi paꞌijë̱ꞌë.
3 if indeed ye have tasted that the Lord {is} good.
4 Ëjaëna tsio daijë̱ꞌë, paꞌiye paꞌi quë̱na pëna, pa̱i je̱ocosicona. Ja̱je paꞌiquëtaꞌare Maijaꞌquëre cato i̱ sahuasi quë̱na përe paꞌë, jai doꞌi quëꞌio.

5 yourselves also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Ja̱je paꞌina, toyaseꞌe caji:
6 Because it is contained in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Zion a corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on him shall not be put to shame.
7 Ja̱je paꞌina, ja̱ quë̱na përe i̱ore pao cajë asacohuaꞌire cato doꞌi quëꞌiorepa asa cua̱ñoji. Ja̱je paꞌiquëtaꞌare, toyaseꞌe cayeje̱ paꞌye paꞌiji, ja̱je asamaꞌcohuaꞌire cato. Ja̱je paꞌina, caji, toyaseꞌe ñeje:
7 To you therefore who believe {is} the preciousness; but to the disobedient, the stone which the builders cast away as worthless, this is become head of {the} corner,
8 Cuiꞌne yecopi caji, ñeje:
8 and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; {who} stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
9 Mësaru cato i̱ sahuasi pa̱i aꞌë. Ëjaëre paseꞌere necaija̱ꞌa pa̱i aꞌë. Siꞌsi peo daripë acohuaꞌi aꞌë. Maijaꞌquë tse̱cohuaꞌire paꞌë. Ja̱je mësaru paꞌiohuaꞌi aꞌë. Ja̱je paꞌina, mësarute nea hue̱ꞌñare paꞌijëna, Maijaꞌquëpi soipi, mia hue̱ꞌñana etani Maijaꞌquë deꞌoyerepa yoꞌoseꞌere yecohuaꞌina quëaja̱jë caquë.
9 But *ye* {are} a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;
10 Ja̱ꞌnë cato mësaru i̱ pa̱i peocohuaꞌi paëꞌë. Paꞌisicohuaꞌipi yure cato i̱ pa̱i deꞌohuë. Ja̱ꞌnë mësarute Maijaꞌquë teaye ñani co̱caiye pa̱pi. Yure cato mësarute teaye ñaquë oi co̱caiji.
10 who once {were} not a people, but now God's people; who were not enjoying mercy, but now have found mercy.
11 Maijaꞌquë doꞌijë, mësarute se̱ñë, mësaru ca̱pë yëyere saꞌro nëocaimaꞌpë paꞌijë̱ꞌë caquë, mai joñoa sa̱ñope uihuayere. Mësaru cato iye yeja acohuaꞌi peoyë. Coa daisicohuaꞌi aꞌë.
11 Beloved, I exhort {you}, as strangers and sojourners, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Ja̱je paꞌina, deꞌoyerepa yoꞌojë paꞌijë̱ꞌë, siꞌaohuaꞌire judío pa̱i peocohuaꞌireje̱. Ja̱je mësarupi paꞌijëna, yure mësarute sa̱ñope coꞌaye yoꞌocohuaꞌi aꞌë casicohuaꞌipi mësaru deꞌoye yoꞌoyere ñani, Maijaꞌquëre deꞌoquëre papi caja̱ꞌcohuaꞌi aꞌë, i̱ohuaꞌire Maijaꞌquë huaso muꞌse ti̱ꞌaëna.
12 having your conversation honest among the Gentiles, that {as to that} in which they speak against you as evildoers, they may through {your} good works, {themselves} witnessing {them}, glorify God in {the} day of visitation.

14 or to rulers as sent by him, for vengeance on evildoers, and praise to them that do well.
15 Ja̱je paꞌina, Maijaꞌquë cato yëji, mësarupi deꞌoye yoꞌojë paꞌijëna, huesëohuaꞌipi ta̱ꞌñe cuasamaꞌcohuaꞌipi mësarute sa̱ñope ca ti̱ꞌañe peoyere.
15 Because so is the will of God, that by well-doing ye put to silence the ignorance of senseless men;
16 Joꞌya nesicohuaꞌi peoyë, mësaru. Ja̱je paꞌina, joꞌya nesicohuaꞌi peoyë cajë coꞌayere neñuꞌu cajë yoꞌomaꞌpë paꞌijë̱ꞌë. Coa ai jerepa Diusu joꞌyaohuaꞌi aꞌë cuasajë, i̱ yëyere yoꞌojë paꞌijë̱ꞌë.
16 as free, and not as having liberty as a cloak of malice, but as God's bondmen.
17 Siꞌaohuaꞌire pa̱ire deꞌoye yoꞌojë̱ꞌë, ëjaohuaꞌire yoꞌoyeje̱ paꞌye. Maijaꞌquë doꞌijëre oijë̱ꞌë. Maijaꞌquëre caꞌrajë̱ꞌë. Pa̱i ëjaëreje̱ deꞌoye yoꞌojë̱ꞌë, ëjaëre papi cuasajë.
17 Shew honour to all, love the brotherhood, fear God, honour the king.
18 Coꞌamaña necaicohuaꞌi, mësaru ëjaohuaꞌire deꞌoye sehuocaijë paꞌijë̱ꞌë. Deꞌocohuaꞌiseꞌere mësarute oicohuaꞌiseꞌere deꞌoye yoꞌomaꞌpë paꞌijë̱ꞌë. Coꞌa ëjaohuaꞌireje̱ deꞌoye sehuojë yoꞌojë̱ꞌë.
18 Servants, {be} subject with all fear to your masters, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the ill-tempered.
19 Ja̱je paꞌina, deꞌoye aꞌë, mësaru deꞌoye yoꞌojëtaꞌare mësarute yecohuaꞌipi coꞌaye yoꞌojëna, ai yoꞌoyere quëcoye.
19 For this {is} acceptable, if one, for conscience sake towards God, endure griefs, suffering unjustly.
20 Ja̱je paꞌiquëtaꞌare mësarupi coꞌaye yoꞌojë siꞌse cua̱ñojë quëcoto doꞌi peoji. Ja̱je paꞌiquëtaꞌare mësaru deꞌoye yoꞌo doꞌire ai yoꞌojë quëcoye pani deꞌoye aꞌë. Doꞌi paꞌiji, Maijaꞌquë ña hue̱ꞌña.
20 For what glory {is it}, if sinning and being buffeted ye shall bear {it}? but if, doing good and suffering, ye shall bear {it}, this is acceptable with God.
21 Ja̱re caquë mësarute Diusu soipi, mësarupi Cristo mësaru doꞌire ai yoꞌoseꞌere ñani i̱ yoꞌoseꞌeje̱ paꞌye mësaruje̱ yoꞌoja̱jë caquë.
21 For to this have ye been called; for Christ also has suffered for you, leaving you a model that ye should follow in his steps:
22 Cristo cato ti teꞌoreje̱ tayo neñe pa̱quë pajiꞌi, cuiꞌne pa̱ireje̱ cosomaꞌquë pajiꞌi.
22 who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth;
23 I̱te coꞌaye catoje̱ sa̱ñope cuiꞌne coꞌayepi camaꞌquë pajiꞌi. Aꞌsi i̱te yoꞌo macaje̱ sa̱ñope icohuaꞌire sa̱isiꞌi camaꞌquë pajiꞌi. Coa ai jerepa Maijaꞌquëna je̱opi, ja̱ëpi pa̱i yoꞌoyere ña deꞌhuaquëpi, nuñerepa yoꞌoquëpi ña deꞌhuaja̱quë caquë.
23 who, {when} reviled, reviled not again; {when} suffering, threatened not; but gave {himself} over into the hands of him who judges righteously;
24 Cristopi siꞌaye mai coꞌaye yoꞌoye hueꞌoni sani cruzuna que̱ cua̱ñopi, maipi coꞌaye yoꞌoyere ju̱ꞌisicohuaꞌije̱ paꞌye paꞌijë nuñerepa yoꞌoyere huajëcohuaꞌi paꞌija̱jë caquë. I̱ aꞌsi doꞌipi mësaru huasosicohuaꞌi paꞌiyë.
24 who himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, in order that, being dead to sins, we may live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye have been healed.
25 Ja̱ꞌnë mësaru yëi ñama ne huesësicohuaꞌije̱ paꞌiohuaꞌipi paëꞌë. Ja̱je paꞌisicohuaꞌitaꞌa yure cato Cristona coꞌirena, i̱pi yëi ñamare ñacaiquë ñañeje ñaquë mësaru joñoaje̱ ñacaiji.
25 For ye were going astray as sheep, but have now returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.
