Rotherham Version (ROTH) vs NVI
1 We have given thanks unto thee, O God, we have given thanks, And, in calling upon thy Name, men have recounted thy wonders.
1 Damos-te graças, ó Deus, damos graças, pois perto está o teu nome; todos falam dos teus feitos maravilhosos.
2 Surely I will take a set time,I, with equity, will judge:
2 Tu dizes: "Eu determino o tempo em que julgarei com justiça.
3 Earth was melting away with all its inhabitants, I, have fixed the pillars thereof. Selah.
3 Quando treme a terra com todos os seus habitantes, sou eu que mantenho firmes as suas colunas. Pausa
4 I have said to the boasters, Do not boast, And to the lawless, Do not lift up a horn;
4 Aos arrogantes digo: ‘Parem de vangloriar-se! ’ E aos ímpios: ‘Não se rebelem!
5 Do not lift up on high your horn, Nor speak of the Rock, with arrogance;
5 Não se rebelem contra os céus; não falem com insolência’ ".
6 For neither from east nor west, Nor from the wilderness of thee mountains ;
6 Não é do Oriente nem do Ocidente nem do deserto que vem a exaltação.
7 For, God himself, is about to judge, One, he will cast down, Another, he will lift up;
7 É Deus quem julga: Humilha a um, a outro exalta.
8 For, a cup, is in the hand of Yahweh, Whose wine is foaming, It is full of spiced wine, Which he hath caused to flow from one to another,Surely, the dregs thereof, they shall drain outthey shall drink, Even all the lawless ones of the earth.
8 Na mão do Senhor está um cálice cheio de vinho espumante e misturado; ele o derrama, e todos os ímpios da terra o bebem até a última gota.
9 But, I, will exult unto times age-abiding, I will sing praises unto the God of Jacob;
9 Quanto a mim, para sempre anunciarei essas coisas; cantarei louvores ao Deus de Jacó.
10 But, all the horns of the lawless, will I hew off,Exalted shall be the horns of the Righteous One.
10 Destruirei o poder de todos os ímpios, mas o poder dos justos aumentará.
