1 my soul, From him, is my salvation:
1 A minha alma espera somente em Deus; dele vem a minha salvação.
2 Surely, he, is my rock and my salvation, My high towerI shall not be greatly shaken!
2 Só ele é a minha rocha e a minha salvação; é a minha defesa; não serei grandemente abalado.
3 How long will ye shout at a man? Ye shall be crushed all of you,Like a wall that bulgeth,a fence pushed in!
3 Até quando maquinareis o mal contra um homem? Sereis mortos todos vós, sereis como uma parede encurvada e uma sebe prestes a cair.
4 Surely, from his elevation, they have taken counsel to thrust him down, They accept falsehood,With his mouth, they each of them bless, But, inwardly, they revile. Selah.
4 Eles somente consultam como o hão de derrubar da sua excelência; deleitam-se em mentiras; com a boca bendizem, mas nas suas entranhas maldizem. (Selá.)
5 Surely, towards God, be thou silent, my soul, For, from him, is mine expectation:
5 Ó minha alma, espera somente em Deus, porque dele vem a minha esperança.
6 Surely, he, is my rock, and my salvation, My high towerI shall not be shaken!
6 Só ele é a minha rocha e a minha salvação; é a minha defesa; não serei abalado.
7 Upon God,
7 Em Deus está a minha salvação e a minha glória; a rocha da minha fortaleza, e o meu refúgio estão em Deus.
8 Trust ye in him all ye assembly of the people, Pour out, before him, your heart, God, is a refuge for us. Selah.
8 Confiai nele, ó povo, em todos os tempos; derramai perante ele o vosso coração. Deus é o nosso refúgio. (Selá.)
9 Surely, vanity, are men of low degree, Deception, men of high degree,In the balances, they go up, They, are of vanity, altogether.
9 Certamente que os homens de classe baixa são vaidade, e os homens de ordem elevada são mentira; pesados em balanças, eles juntos são mais leves do que a vaidade.
10 Do not trust in extortion, Nor, with robbery, become vain, As for wealth, when it beareth fruit, Do not set heart.
10 Não confieis na opressão, nem vos ensoberbeçais na rapina; se as vossas riquezas aumentam, não ponhais nelas o coração.
11 One thing, hath God spoken, Two things, which I have heard, That, power, belongeth unto God;
11 Deus falou uma vez; duas vezes ouvi isto: que o poder pertence a Deus.
12 And, thine, O My Lord, is lovingkindness,For, thou, wilt pay back unto every manaccording to his deed.
12 A ti também, Senhor, pertence a misericórdia; pois retribuirás a cada um segundo a sua obra.
