1 The declaration of Yahweh to my LordSit thou at my right hand, Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
1 Salmo de Davi. Eis o oráculo do Senhor que se dirige a meu senhor: Assenta-te à minha direita, até que eu faça de teus inimigos o escabelo de teus pés.
2 Thy sceptre of strength, will Yahweh extend out of Zion, Tread thou down, in the midst of thy foes.
2 O Senhor estenderá desde Sião teu cetro poderoso: Dominarás, disse ele, até no meio de teus inimigos.
3 Thy people, will freely offer themselves, in the day of thine army,in the splendours of holiness, out of the womb of the dawn, To thee, the dew of thy youth.
3 No dia de teu nascimento, já possuis a realeza no esplendor da santidade; semelhante ao orvalho, eu te gerei antes da aurora.
4 Yahweh, hath swornand will not repent, Thou,
4 O Senhor jurou e não se arrependerá: Tu és sacerdote para sempre, segundo a ordem de Melquisedec.
5 My Lord, on thy right hand,hath shatteredin the day of his angerkings;
5 O Senhor está à tua direita: ele destruirá os reis no dia de sua cólera.
6 He will judge among the nationsfull of dead bodies! He hath shattered the head over a land far extended:
6 Julgará os povos pagãos, empilhará cadáveres; por toda a terra esmagará cabeças.
7 Of the torrent in the way, will he drink;For this cause, will he lift up
7 Beberá da torrente no caminho; por isso, erguerá a sua fronte.
