1 And, the Pharisees and Sadducees coming near, putting him to the test, requested him, a sign out of the heaven, to shew unto them.
1 Os fariseus e os saduceus aproximaram-se de Jesus e o puseram à prova, pedindo-lhe que lhes mostrasse um sinal do céu.
2 But, he, answering said unto them
2 Ele respondeu: "Quando a tarde vem, vocês dizem: ‘Vai fazer bom tempo, porque o céu está vermelho’,
3 fehlt
3 e de manhã: ‘Hoje haverá tempestade, porque o céu está vermelho e nublado’. Vocês sabem interpretar o aspecto do céu, mas não sabem interpretar os sinais dos tempos!
4 A wicked and adulterous generation, a sign, doth seek after, and, a sign, will not be given it,save the sign of Jonah. And, leaving them behind, he departed.
4 Uma geração perversa e adúltera pede um sinal miraculoso, mas nenhum sinal lhe será dado, a não ser o sinal de Jonas". Então Jesus os deixou e retirou-se.
5 And the disciples coming, to the other side, had forgotten to take loaves.
5 Indo os discípulos para o outro lado do mar, esqueceram-se de levar pão.
6 And, Jesus, said unto themMind! and beware, of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
6 Disse-lhes Jesus: "Estejam atentos e tenham cuidado com o fermento dos fariseus e dos saduceus".
7 And, they, began to deliberate among themselves, sayingBecause, loaves, we took not.
7 E eles discutiam entre si, dizendo: "É porque não trouxemos pão".
8 And, observing it, Jesus saidWhy are ye deliberating among yourselves, ye little-of-faith! because, loaves, ye have not?
8 Percebendo a discussão, Jesus lhes perguntou: "Homens de pequena fé, por que vocês estão discutindo entre si sobre não terem pão?
9 Not yet, perceive ye, neither remember,The five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye received?
9 Ainda não compreendem? Não se lembram dos cinco pães para os cinco mil e de quantos cestos vocês recolheram?
10 Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many hampers ye received?
10 Nem dos sete pães para os quatro mil e de quantos cestos recolheram?
11 How is it ye perceive not, that, not concerning loaves, spake I unto you,but beware of the leaven, of the Pharisees and Sadducees?
11 Como é que vocês não entendem que não era de pão que eu estava lhes falando? Mas tomem cuidado com o fermento dos fariseus e dos saduceus".
12 Then, understood they that he did not bid them beware of the leaven of loaves but of, the teaching, of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
12 Então entenderam que não estava lhes dizendo que tomassem cuidado com o fermento de pão, mas com o ensino dos fariseus e dos saduceus.
13 And, Jesus coming into the parts of Caesarea of Philip, began questioning his disciples, sayingWho are men saying that, the Son of Man, is?
13 Chegando Jesus à região de Cesaréia de Filipe, perguntou aos seus discípulos: "Quem os homens dizem que o Filho do homem é? "
14 And, they, saidSome, indeed, John the Immerser, and, others, Elijah,but, others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.
14 Eles responderam: "Alguns dizem que é João Batista; outros, Elias; e, ainda outros, Jeremias ou um dos profetas".
15 He saith unto themBut who say, ye, that I am?
15 "E vocês? ", perguntou ele. "Quem vocês dizem que eu sou? "
16 And, Simon Peter, answering, saidThou, art the Christ, the Son of the Living God.
16 Simão Pedro respondeu: "Tu és o Cristo, o Filho do Deus vivo".
17 And Jesus, answering, said to himHappy, art thou, Simon Bar-yona,because, flesh and blood, revealed it not unto thee, but my Father who is in the heavens.
17 Respondeu Jesus: "Feliz é você, Simão, filho de Jonas! Porque isto não lhe foi revelado por carne ou sangue, mas por meu Pai que está nos céus.
18 And, I also, unto thee, sayThou, art Peter,and, upon this rock, will I build my assembly, and, the gates of hades, shall not prevail against it.
18 E eu lhe digo que você é Pedro, e sobre esta pedra edificarei a minha igreja, e as portas do Hades não poderão vencê-la.
19 I will give thee, the keys of the kingdom of the heavens,and, whatsoever thou shalt bind upon the earth, shall be bound in the heavens, and, whatsoever thou shalt loose upon the earth, shall be loosed in the heavens.
19 Eu lhe darei as chaves do Reino dos céus; o que você ligar na terra terá sido ligado nos céus, e o que você desligar na terra terá sido desligado nos céus".
20 Then, straitly charged he the disciples, lest, to any man, they should sayHe, is, the Christ.
20 Então advertiu a seus discípulos que não contassem a ninguém que ele era o Cristo.
21 From that time, began Jesus Christ to be pointing out to his disciples that he must needs, into Jerusalem, go away, and, many things, suffer, from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain,and on, the third day, arise.
21 Desde aquele momento Jesus começou a explicar aos seus discípulos que era necessário que ele fosse para Jerusalém e sofresse muitas coisas nas mãos dos líderes religiosos, dos chefes dos sacerdotes e dos mestres da lei, e fosse morto e ressuscitasse no terceiro dia.
22 And, taking him aside, Peter began to rebuke him, sayingMercy on thee Lord! In nowise, shall, this, befall thee.
22 Então Pedro, chamando-o à parte, começou a repreendê-lo, dizendo: "Nunca, Senhor! Isso nunca te acontecerá! "
23 But, he, turning, said to PeterWithdraw behind me, Satan! A snare, art thou of mine, because thou art not regarding the things of God, but the things of men.
23 Jesus virou-se e disse a Pedro: "Para trás de mim, Satanás! Você é uma pedra de tropeço para mim, e não pensa nas coisas de Deus, mas nas dos homens".
24 Then, Jesus said unto his disciplesIf any one intendeth, after me, to come, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and be following me;
24 Então Jesus disse aos seus discípulos: "Se alguém quiser acompanhar-me, negue-se a si mesmo, tome a sua cruz e siga-me.
25 For, whosoever intendeth, his life, to save, shall lose it,but, whosoever shall lose his life, for my sake, shall find it.
25 Pois quem quiser salvar a sua vida, a perderá, mas quem perder a vida por minha causa, a encontrará.
26 For what shall a man be profited, though, the whole world, he gain, and, his life, he forfeit? Or what shall a man give, in exchange for his life?
26 Pois, que adiantará ao homem ganhar o mundo inteiro e perder a sua alma? Ou, o que o homem poderá dar em troca de sua alma?
27 For the Son of Man is destined to be coming, in the glory of his Father, with his messengers,and, then, will he give back unto each one, according to his practice.
27 Pois o Filho do homem virá na glória de seu Pai, com os seus anjos, e então recompensará a cada um de acordo com o que tenha feito.
28 Verily, I say unto youThere are some of those, here standing, who, indeed, shall in nowise taste of death, until they see the Son of Man, coming in his kingdom.
28 Garanto-lhes que alguns dos que aqui se acham não experimentarão a morte antes de verem o Filho do homem vindo em seu Reino".
