1 The word which Yahweh spake Against Babylon Against the land of the Chaldeans, through Jeremiah the prophet:
1 A palavra que o SENHOR falou contra Babilônia, e contra a terra dos caldeus por intermédio de Jeremias, o profeta:
2 Tell ye among the nations And let it be heard And lift ye up a standard, Let it be heard do not conceal: Say yeCaptured is Babylon, Confounded is Bel, Broken in pieces is Merodach, Confounded are her images, Broken down her manufactured gods;
2 Declarai vós entre as nações, e divulgai, e erguei um estandarte. Divulgai e não ocultai, dizei: Babilônia é tomada, Bel está perplexo, Merodaque está quebrado em pedaços. Os seus ídolos estão perplexos, suas imagens estão quebradas em pedaços.
3 For there hath come up against hera nation out of the North The same, shall make her land an astonishment, And there shall be none to dwell therein,Both man and beast, have removedhave gone.
3 Porque do norte sobe uma nação contra ela, a qual desolará sua terra, e ninguém habitará lá. Eles removerão dali tanto homem quanto animal.
4 In those days, and at that time, Declareth Yahweh, Shall the sons of Israel come in, They and the sons of Judah together: Weeping as they travel, so shall they journey on, And Yahweh their God, shall they seek;
4 Naqueles dias, e naquele tempo, diz o SENHOR, os filhos de Israel virão, eles e os filhos de Judá juntamente, indo e chorando. Eles irão, e buscarão o SENHOR seu Deus.
5 To Zion, shall they ask the way, Hitherward, their faces, Come and let us join ourselves unto Yahweh, In a covenant age-abiding, which shall not be forgotten.
5 Eles perguntarão o caminho para Sião com suas faces naquela direção, dizendo: Vinde, e unamo-nos ao SENHOR em um perpétuo pacto, que não será esquecido.
6 Wandering sheep, have my people, been, Their own shepherds led them astray, On the mountains, they seduced them, From mountain to hill, have they gone, They have forgotten their couching-place.
6 Meu povo tem sido ovelhas perdidas. Seus pastores as têm extraviado, eles as desviaram sobre os montes. Eles vão do monte para a colina, eles esqueceram o seu lugar de descanso.
7 All who found them, devoured them, And, their adversaries, saidWe shall not be, guilty,Because they have sinned, Against, Yahweh the pasturage of righteousness, Yea the hope of their fathersYahweh.
7 Todos os que as encontravam as devoravam, e seus adversários disseram: Nós não transgredimos, porque eles pecaram contra o SENHOR, a habitação da justiça, o SENHOR, a esperança dos seus pais.
8 Remove ye out of the midst of Babylon, And out of the land of the Chaldeans, come ye forth,And become ye like he-goats before the flock;
8 Fugi do meio de Babilônia, e saí da terra dos caldeus, e sede como os bodes adiante dos rebanhos.
9 For lo! I am rousing and bringing up against Babylon a gathered host of great nations, out of the land of the North, And they shall array themselves against her, From thence, shall she be captured,His arrows, are as of a hero making childless, None shall return empty.
9 Pois eis que eu farei surgir, e farei se levantar contra Babilônia uma assembleia de grandes nações da região do norte, e eles por-se-ão em ordem contra ela. Dali ela será tomada. As suas flechas serão como as de um homem poderoso especialista, nenhuma tornará vazia.
10 So shall the Chaldeans become a spoil,All her spoilers, shall be satisfied, Declareth Yahweh;
10 E Caldeia será um despojo; todos os que a despojarem estarão satisfeitos, diz o SENHOR.
11 Because they used to be glad Because they used to be uproarious When plundering mine inheritance,Because they used to caper about as a heifer at grass, And bellow like bulls.
11 Porque vos alegrastes, porque vos regozijastes, ó vós, destruidores da minha herança, porque vós sois fartos como a novilha na grama, e mugis como touros.
12 Your mother, hath turned very pale, She that bare you, hath turned red,Lo! the last of nations, isA desert, A parched land, and A waste plain,
12 Vossa mãe estará profundamente perplexa, ela que vos deu à luz será envergonhada. Eis que a última das nações será uma vastidão, uma terra seca, e um deserto.
13 Because of the vexation of Yahweh, she shall not be inhabited, But Shall become a complete desolation,Every one passing by Babylon, shall be astonished and hiss, over all her plagues.
13 Por causa da ira do SENHOR, ela não será habitada, porém ela será inteiramente desolada. Todo aquele que passar por Babilônia estará atônito, e assobiará por todas as suas pragas.
14 Set yourselves in array against Babylon round about All ye who tread the bow, Shoot at her, do not spare so much as an arrow,For against Yahweh, hath she sinned.
14 Ponde-vos em ordem contra Babilônia ao redor, todos vós os que entesais o arco; atirai-lhe, não poupeis flechas, porque ela pecou contra o SENHOR.
15 Raise a shout against her round about She hath stretched forth her hand, Fallen are her buttresses, Torn down are her walls,Because, the avenging of Yahweh it is, Take ye vengeance upon her, As she hath done, do ye, unto her.
15 Gritai contra ela ao redor. Ela deu a sua mão; seus alicerces estão caídos, os seus muros estão destroçados, porque esta é a vingança do SENHOR. Exercei vingança sobre ela, como ela tem feito, fazei para com ela.
16 Cut ye off the sower from Babylon, And him that graspeth the sickle in the time of harvest, From the face of the sword of the oppressor, Each, to his own people will they turn, and Each, to his own land will they flee.
16 Cortai de Babilônia o semeador, e aquele que maneja a foice no tempo de colheita, por medo da espada opressora eles virar-se-ão cada um para seu povo, e eles fugirão cada um para sua própria terra.
17 A sheep all alone, is Israel Lions, have driven him away,At the first, the king of Assyria devoured him, And here, at the last, I Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones!
17 Israel é uma ovelha desgarrada. Os leões o afugentaram. Primeiramente o rei da Assíria o devorou, e por último, este Nabucodonosor, rei de Babilônia, quebrou os seus ossos.
18 Therefore, Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, Behold me! bringing punishment against the king of Babylon, and against his land,Just as I brought punishment against the king of Assyria.
18 Portanto assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel: Eis que eu punirei o rei de Babilônia, e a sua terra, como eu puni o rei da Assíria.
19 So will I bring back Israel unto his own pasture, And he shall feed upon Carmel and Bashan; And in the hill country of Ephraim and Gilead, shall, his soul, he satisfied.
19 E, eu trarei Israel novamente para sua habitação, e ele alimentar-se-á em Carmelo e em Basã, e a sua alma estará satisfeita sobre o monte Efraim e Gileade.
20 In those days and in that time, Declareth Yahweh, The iniquity of Israel, shall be sought, and there shall be none, And the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found; For I will grant pardon to them whom I suffer to remain.
20 Naqueles dias, e naquele tempo, diz o SENHOR, a iniquidade de Israel será procurada, e nenhuma será achada. E os pecados de Judá, não mais serão encontrados, porque perdoarei aqueles que restarem.
21 Against the land of Merathaim, go thou up against her, And against the inhabitants of Pekod,Lay waste and devote to destruction after them Declareth Yahweh, And do according to all which I have commanded thee.
21 Sobe contra a terra de Merataim, contra esta, e contra os habitantes de Pecode. Devasta e destrói completamente após eles, diz o SENHOR, e faze conforme tudo que eu tenho te ordenado.
22 The sound of battle is in the earth,And a great destruction.
22 Um som de batalha está na terra, e de grande destruição.
23 How s cut and broken the hammer of all the earth! How hath Babylon become an astonishment among the nations!
23 Como está o martelo de toda a terra cortado em pedaços e quebrado! Como Babilônia tornou-se uma desolação entre as nações!
24 I laid a snare for thee yea and thou wast captured O Babylon, when, thou wast not aware,Thou wast found out yea and taken, For with Yahweh, hadst thou contended.
24 Eu coloquei uma armadilha para ti, e tu és também uma presa, ó Babilônia, e tu não estavas alerta. Tu foste encontrada, e também capturada, porque contendeste contra o SENHOR.
25 Yahweh opened his armoury, and brought out his weapons of indignation,For, a work, it is pertaining to My Lord, Yahweh of hosts, in the land of the Chaldeans,
25 O SENHOR abriu seu arsenal e tirou as armas de sua indignação, pois esta é a obra do Senhor DEUS dos Exércitos na terra dos caldeus.
26 Come ye against her from farthest parts, Throw open her granaries, Cast her up as heaps, and devote her to destruction,Do not let her have a remnant.
26 Vinde contra ela da fronteira mais distante, abri os seus depósitos. Lançai-a como montões, e a destruí completamente. Nada dela lhe fique de resto.
27 Cut up all her bullocks, Let them go down to the slaughter,Alas for them! For their day, hath come, Their time for punishment.
27 Matai todos os seus novilhos. Deixai-os descer para o abate. Ai deles! Pois o seu dia é vindo, o tempo da sua visitação.
28 The voice Of them who are in flight and Of such as are escaping, out of the land of Babylon,To tell in Zion The avenging of Yahweh our God, The avenging of his temple.
28 A voz daqueles que fogem e escapam da terra de Babilônia, para declarar em Sião a vingança do SENHOR nosso Deus, a vingança do seu templo.
29 Publish against Babylon ye chiefs of all who tread the bowEncamp against her round about Let there be none to escape, Recompense to her according to her work, According to all which she did, do ye to her,For Against Yahweh, hath she acted presumptuously, Against the Holy One of Israel.
29 Convocai os arqueiros contra Babilônia, todos vós que entesais o arco, acampai contra ela em redor. A ninguém dali deixai escapar. Recompensai-a conforme sua obra, conforme tudo que ela tem feito, pois ela tem sido arrogante contra o SENHOR, contra o Santo de Israel.
30 Therefore, shall her young men fall in her broadways,And, all her men of war, be silenced in that day, Declareth Yahweh.
30 Portanto seus jovens cairão nas ruas, e naquele dia todos os seus homens de guerra serão cortados, diz o SENHOR.
31 Behold me! against thee most insolent one, Declareth My Lord Yahweh of hosts; For thy day, hath come, Thy time for punishment;
31 Eis que eu sou contra ti, ó tu, o mais orgulhoso, diz o Senhor DEUS dos Exércitos, porque teu dia é vindo, e o tempo em que te visitarei.
32 So shall the most insolent one stumble and fall, And he shall have none to lift him up,And I will kindle a fire in his cities which shall devour all who are round about him.
32 E o mais orgulhoso tropeçará e cairá, e ninguém o erguerá. E eu atearei um fogo às suas cidades e este devorará todos ao seu redor.
33 Thus, saith Yahweh of hostsOppressed were the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah, together,And, all who took them captive, Held them fast Refused to let them go:
33 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos: Os filhos de Israel e os filhos de Judá foram oprimidos juntamente, e todos que os tomaram cativos os retiveram. Eles recusaram-se a libertá-los.
34 Their Redeemer, can hold fast, Yahweh of hosts, is his name, He will, thoroughly plead, their plea,That he may quiet the earth, And disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
34 O seu Redentor é forte. O SENHOR dos Exércitos é o seu nome. Ele irá pleitear a sua causa, para que possa dar repouso à terra, e inquietar os habitantes de Babilônia.
35 A sword, is over the Chaldeans, Declareth Yahweh,And against the inhabitants of Babylon, And against her princes, And against her wise men:
35 Uma espada está sobre os caldeus, diz o SENHOR, e sobre os habitantes de Babilônia, e sobre os seus príncipes, e sobre seus sábios homens.
36 A sword, is against the praters, And they shall be shewn to be foolish, A sword, is against her heroes And they shall be dismayed:
36 Uma espada está sobre os mentirosos, e eles irão caducar. Uma espada está sobre os seus poderosos homens, e eles ficarão consternados.
37 A sword, is against his hopes and against his chariots and, against all the rabble that are in her midst And they shall become women,A sword, is against her treasures And they shall be made a prey:
37 Uma espada está sobre seus cavalos, e sobre suas carruagens, e sobre todo o povo misto que está no meio dela. E eles tornar-se-ão como mulheres. Uma espada está sobre os seus tesouros, e eles serão roubados.
38 A drought, is against her waters, And they shall be dried up,For a land of images, it is, And with their shocking things, they act as men who are mad:
38 A seca está sobre suas águas, e elas secarão, porque esta é a terra de imagens esculpidas, e eles estão loucos acerca de seus ídolos.
39 Therefore shall the criers dwell with, the howlers, Yea ostriches, shall dwell therein,So shall it be dwelt in no more for ever, Neither shall it be inhabited unto generation after generation.
39 Portanto, habitarão ali os animais selvagens do deserto, com os animais selvagens das ilhas, e as corujas habitarão nela. E esta não será mais habitada para sempre, nem será ela habitada de geração a geração.
40 Like the divine overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and her neighbours, Declareth Yahweh,There shall not dwell therea man, Nor sojourn thereina son of the earth-born.
40 Como Deus destruiu Sodoma e Gomorra e as cidades vizinhas, diz o SENHOR, desse modo nenhum homem habitará ali, nem qualquer filho de homem habitará nela.
41 Lo! a people coming in from the North,Yea, a great nation and many kings, shall be round up out of the remote parts of the earth:
41 Eis que um povo virá do norte, e uma grande nação, e muitos reis serão levantados das costas da terra.
42 Bow and javelin, shall they grasp, Cruel, are they and will not have compassion, Their voice, like the sea, will roar, And, on horses, will they ride,Set in array, as one man for battle, Against thee, O daughter of Babylon!
42 Eles irão segurar o arco e a lança. Eles são cruéis e não mostrarão misericórdia. Suas vozes rugirão como o mar, e eles montarão em cavalos, cada um posto em ordem, como um homem para a batalha, contra ti, ó filha de Babilônia.
43 The king of Babylon hath beard the report of them, And unnerved are his hands,Anguish, hath seized him, Writhing pain, as a woman in child-birth.
43 O rei de Babilônia ouviu relatos sobre eles, e suas mãos tornaram-se frágeis. Angústia apoderou-se dele e pontadas, como as de uma mulher em trabalho de parto.
44 Lo! as a lion, shall he come up from the majesty of the Jordan, Unto the pasture perennial, But I will winkI will make them run away therefrom, Who then shall be the Chosen One whom against it, I may set in charge? For who shall be like unto, me? And who shall appoint me, a time? And who is the Shepherd that shall stand before me?
44 Eis que ele como leão subirá da cheia do Jordão até a habitação do forte. Porém eu os farei de repente escapar de lá. E quem é o homem escolhido, para que eu possa estabelecer sobre ela? Pois quem é semelhante a mim? E quem me designará o tempo? E quem é o pastor que resistirá perante a mim?
45 Therefore hear ye, The counsel of Yahweh, which he hath counselled against Babylon, And his devices which he hath devised against the land a of the Chaldeans,Surely the little ones of the flock, shall drag them away, Surely he will cause the pasture to be astounded over them.
45 Portanto, ouvi o conselho do SENHOR, que ele executou contra Babilônia, e suas intenções, que ele planejou contra a terra dos caldeus: Certamente os menores do rebanho os arrastarão. Certamente ele fará suas habitações desoladas com ele.
46 At the noise of the taking of Babylon, the earth trembled,And, the outcry, among the nations, was heard.
46 Ao barulho da tomada de Babilônia, a terra estremece, e o grito se ouviu entre as nações.
