1 I have let myself be consulted by them who had not asked, I have suffered myself to be found by them who had not sought me,I have said, Here I am! Here I am! Unto a nation that had not been called by my name,
1 O Senhor Deus disse: “Eu estava pronto para atender o meu povo, mas eles não pediram a minha ajuda; estava pronto para ser achado, mas eles não me procuraram. A um povo que não orou a mim, eu disse: ‘Estou aqui! Estou aqui!’
2 I have spread out my hands all the day, Unto a rebellious people,Who walk In the way that is not good, After their own devices.
2 O dia inteiro eu abri os braços, pronto para receber um povo rebelde, um povo que anda no caminho do mal, seguindo sempre os seus próprios caprichos.
3 The people who are provoking me to anger to my face continually,Sacrificing in gardens, and Burning incense upon bricks;
3 Essa gente vive me provocando abertamente; eles oferecem e queimam incenso sobre altares pagãos.
4 Who tarry among groves, And in the secret places, do lodge, Who eat the flesh of swine, And the broth of refuse things is in their vessels,
4 Eles vão aos cemitérios para consultar os mortos e passam as noites em lugares desertos para receber visões. Comem carne de porco e enchem os seus pratos de comida
5 Who sayDraw near by thyself, Do not approach with me, For I am holier than thou! These, are A smoke in my nostrils, A fire, burning all the day.
5 Depois, dizem aos outros: ‘Parem! Não nos toquem, pois somos mais santos do que vocês.’ Essa gente me faz ficar a minha ira é como um fogo que não se apaga.
6 Lo! it is written before me,I will not keep silence, But I have recompensed, and will recompense into their bosom:
6 Tudo o que eles fazem está escrito no meu livro, e não descansarei até castigá-los. Eu farei com que eles paguem pelos seus pecados
7 Your own iniquities, And the, iniquities of your fathers together, Saith Yahweh, Who have burned incense upon the mountains, And upon the hills, have reproached me,Therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.
7 e também pelos pecados dos seus antepassados. Eles queimaram incenso sobre altares pagãos, nos montes, e me ofenderam com esses sacrifícios. Por isso, farei com que eles paguem pelos seus pecados, por todos eles, um por um.” O
8 Thus, saith YahwehAs, new wine, is found, in the cluster, And one saith, Do not destroy it, for a blessing is in it, So, will I do for the sake of ray servants, That I may not destroy the whole ;
8 O Senhor diz: “Quando alguém encontra algumas uvas cheias de suco numa ‘Não vamos destruí-las, pois o vinho que fizermos com elas será uma bênção para nós.’ Assim também, por amor dos meus eu não destruirei todo o meu povo.
9 Therefore will I bring forth Out of Jacob, a seed, and Out of Judah, an inheritor of my mountains, That my chosen ones may inherit it, And, my servants, dwell there;
9 Farei com que os descendentes de Jacó e o povo da tenham muitos descendentes e com que sejam donos da minha terra. O meu povo escolhido será dono da e sempre viverá nela.
10 Then shall, Sharon, become, a fold for flocks, And the vale of Achor for the lying down of herds,For my people who have sought me.
10 E, se o meu povo procurar fazer a minha vontade, a planície de Sarom servirá de pasto para as suas ovelhas, e o seu gado pastará no vale da Desgraça.
11 But, ye are theyWho forsake Yahweh Who forget my holy mountainWho prepare, for Fortune, a table and Who fill for Destiny, mixed wine;
11 “Mas alguns de vocês se afastam de mim; desprezam o meu e fazem ofertas de comida e de vinho a Gade e a Meni, os deuses da sorte e do destino.
12 Therefore will I destine you to the sword, And, ye all, to the slaughter, shall bow down. Because I called and ye answered not, I spake, and ye hearkened not,But did that which was wicked in mine eyes, And o that wherein I delighted not, ye made choice,
12 Pois então o destino de vocês será morrer à espada; eu farei com que todos fiquem de joelhos para serem mortos. Pois eu os chamei, mas vocês não responderam; eu lhes falei, mas vocês não deram atenção. Pelo contrário, fizeram o que me desagrada, escolheram coisas que me aborrecem.”
13 Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh,Lo! my servants, shall eat but, ye, shall be famished, Lo! my servants, shall drink but, ye shall be thirsty,Lo! my servants, shall rejoice but ye, shall turn pale;
13 Portanto, o Senhor Deus diz: “Aqueles que me servem terão comida e bebida, mas vocês passarão fome e sede; eles serão felizes, mas vocês serão humilhados;
14 Lo! my servants, shall shout in triumph for mirth of heart But, ye, shall make outcry, for pain of heart, And for a breaking of spirit, shall ye howl.
14 eles cantarão, cheios de alegria, mas vocês gemerão de tristeza, chorarão com o coração cheio de angústia.
15 So shall ye leave your name for an oath, to my chosen ones,So then My Lord Yahweh, will slay thee,And his servants, will he, call by another name:
15 “Eu, o Senhor Deus, os matarei. E os meus servos, o meu povo escolhido, usarão os nomes de vocês para rogar pragas. Mas nos meus servos eu porei um novo nome.
16 So that he who blesseth himself in the earth, Will bless himself in the God of faithfulness, And he who sweareth in the earth Will swear by the God of faithfulnessBecause the former troubles have been forgotten, and Because they are hid from mine eyes.
16 Qualquer pessoa na Terra Prometida que pedir uma bênção vai pedi-la ao Deus fiel; e quem fizer uma promessa a fará em nome do Deus fiel.” O “Vocês esquecerão as desgraças que sofreram, e eu também não lembrarei mais delas.
17 For, behold me! Creating new heavens, and a new earth,And the former shall not be mentioned, neither shall they come up on the heart,
17 Pois eu estou criando um novo céu e uma nova terra; o passado será esquecido, e ninguém lembrará mais dele.
18 But joy ye and exult, perpetually, in what I am about to create,For, behold me! Creating Jerusalem an exultation and Her People a joy;
18 Alegrem-se, fiquem felizes para sempre com aquilo que eu vou criar; pois vou encher de alegria a cidade de Jerusalém e vou dar muita felicidade ao seu povo.
19 Therefore will I Exult in Jerusalem, and Joy in my People,And there shall be heard in her, no more The sound of weeping, or the sound of a cry:
19 Eu ficarei contente com Jerusalém, e o meu povo me encherá de alegria. Nunca mais se ouvirá em Jerusalém nem barulho de choro nem gritos de aflição.
20 There shall be thenceforward, no more, A suckling of a few days, or an elder Who filleth not up his days,But, a youth a hundred years old, may die, Yea a sinner a hundred years old, shall he accursed,
20 Nunca mais morrerão ali criancinhas de poucos dias; ninguém morrerá antes de ficar bem velho. Morrer aos cem anos será morrer moço, e não chegar aos cem anos será uma maldição.
21 Then shall they build houses and dwell in them,And plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them;
21 “Vocês construirão casas e morarão nelas, farão plantações de uvas e beberão do seu vinho.
22 They shall not build, and another, dwell, They shall not plant, and, another, eat,For as the days of a tree, shall be the days of ray people, And, the work of their own hands, shall my chosen ones, use to the full:
22 Não construirão casas para outros morarem nelas, nem farão plantações de uvas para outros beberem do seu vinho. O meu povo viverá muitos anos, como as árvores, e todos terão o prazer de aproveitar as coisas que eles mesmos fizeram.
23 They shall not labour in vain, Nor have children for terror,For the seed of the blessed ones of Yahweh, shall they be, And their offspring, with them.
23 Todo o seu trabalho dará certo, e os seus filhos não acabarão na desgraça; pois eles e os seus descendentes serão a raça que eu abençoarei para sempre.
24 And it shall come to passThat before they call, I, will answer, And while yet they are speaking, I, will hear.
24 Antes mesmo que me chamem, eu os atenderei; antes mesmo de acabarem de falar, eu responderei.
25 The wolf and the lamb, shall feed, in unity, And, the lion, as an ox, shall eat straw; But as for the serpent, dust, shall be his food: They shall not harmNor shall they destroy, In all my holy mountain, saith Yahweh.
25 Os lobos e os carneirinhos pastarão juntos, os leões comerão palha como os bois, e as cobras não atacarão mais ninguém. E no meu monte santo não acontecerá nada que seja mau ou perigoso.” O
