Ezequiel 22

1 And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
1 Recebi esta mensagem do S enhor :
2 Thou therefore son of man, Wt thou judge wt thou judge the city of bloodshed; and cause her to know all her abominations?
2 “Filho do homem, você está preparado para pronunciar julgamento sobre Jerusalém, esta cidade de assassinos? Faça que ela veja como são detestáveis seus pecados
3 Thou shalt say then Thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, A city shedding blood in her own midst That her time might come, Therefore hath she been making manufactured gods for herself, to be defiled.
3 e transmita-lhe esta mensagem do S enhor Soberano: Ó cidade de assassinos, condenada e maldita, cidade de ídolos imundos e repugnantes,
4 Because of the blood which thou hast shed, hast thou become guilty. And with the manufactured gods which thou hast made, hast thou defiled thyself, Thus hast thou brought near thy days, And hast come unto thy years, For this cause, have I delivered thee As a reproach to the nations, And as a derision to all the lands.
4 você é culpada pelo sangue que derramou e está contaminada pelos ídolos que fez. Seu dia de castigo se aproxima! Você chegou ao fim de seus anos, e farei de você objeto de zombaria no mundo inteiro.
5 They who are near and they who are far off from thee shall shew themselves derisive over these, O thou of impure name, abounding in confusion!
5 Ó cidade infame, cheia de confusão, povos distantes e próximos zombarão de você!
6 Lo! the princes of Israel, very man for his own arm, have they been in thee, For the sake of shedding blood.
6 “Todo líder de Israel que vive dentro de seus muros está decidido a derramar sangue.
7 Father and mother, have they despised in thee, To the sojourner, have they dealt with oppression in the midst of thee, The fatherless and the widow, have they maltreated in thee:
7 Pais e mães são tratados com desprezo, estrangeiros são obrigados a pagar por proteção, órfãos e viúvas são oprimidos em seu meio.
8 My holy things, hast thou despised,- And my sabbaths, hast thou profaned:
8 Você despreza minhas coisas santas e profana meus sábados.
9 Slanders, have arisen in thee For the sake of shedding blood,- And unto the mountains, have they eaten in thee, Lewdness, have they practised in the midst of thee:
9 Pessoas acusam outras falsamente e as condenam à morte. Em seu meio há idólatras e gente que faz coisas obscenas.
10 A fathers shame hath been uncovered in thee, Her that was unclean in her removal, have they humbled in thee;
10 Homens têm relações sexuais com a esposa do próprio pai e se impõem sobre mulheres menstruadas.
11 And, one man, with the wife of his neighbour, hath wrought abomination, And another hath defiled this daughter-in- law by shameful deed, And another! his own sister daughter of his own father, hath humbled in thee:
11 Há quem cometa adultério com a esposa do vizinho, quem contamine sua nora e quem violente a própria irmã.
12 Bribes, have they accepted in thee, For the sake of shedding blood,-Interest and increase, hast thou accepted And thou hast overreached thy neighbour by oppression, And me, hast thou forgotten, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
12 Por toda parte há assassinos de aluguel, agiotas que cobram juros abusivos e sujeitos que praticam extorsão. Não se lembram de mim, diz o S enhor Soberano.
13 Lo! therefore I have smitten my hand, At thine unjust gain which thou hast made And over thy bloodshed, which they have caused in thy midst.
13 “Agora, porém, bato as mãos com indignação por causa do ganho desonesto e do derramamento de sangue em seu meio.
14 Can thy heart endure or can thy hands be strong in the days when I am dealing with thee? I. Yahweh have spoken and will perform.
14 Quão forte e corajosa você será no dia do acerto de contas? Eu, o S enhor , falei e cumprirei o que prometi.
15 Therefore will I disperse thee among the nations, And scatter thee throughout the lands, And will cause to cease thine impurity out of thee;
15 Espalharei você entre as nações e acabarei com sua perversidade.
16 So shalt thou be profaned in thyself, before the eyes of nations, Thus shalt thou know that, I, am Yahweh.
16 E, quando você tiver sido desonrada entre as nações, saberá que eu sou o S enhor ”.
17 Then came the word of Yahweh unto me, saying:
17 Então recebi esta mensagem do S enhor :
18 Son of man, The house of Israel hath become to me, dross, They all are copper and tin and iron and lead in the midst of a furnace, The dross of silver, have they become.
18 “Filho do homem, o povo de Israel é a coisa desprezível, sem valor, que resta depois de fundir a prata. São refugo, uma mistura inútil de cobre, estanho, ferro e chumbo.
19 Therefore, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, Because ye all are become dross, Therefore, behold me! gathering you into the midst of Jerusalem:
19 Portanto, diga-lhes: ‘Assim diz o S enhor Soberano: Porque vocês são coisa desprezível, sem valor, eu os reunirei em Jerusalém.
20 As they gather silver and copper and iron and lead and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow upon it the fire to melt it, So will I gather in mine anger and in mine indignation, and will let b. and will melt you;
20 Como a prata, o cobre, o ferro, o chumbo e o estanho são derretidos na fornalha, assim eu os derreterei com o calor de minha ira ardente.
21 Yea I will gather you together, and blow upon you, with the fire of my wrath, And ye shall be melted in the midst thereof:
21 Eu os reunirei e soprarei sobre vocês o fogo de minha fúria,
22 As silver is melted in he midst of a furnace, Sol shall ye be melted in the midst thereof, Then shall ye know that lit Yahweh have poured out mine indignation upon you.
22 e vocês derreterão como a prata derrete no calor intenso. Então saberão que eu, o S enhor , derramei sobre vocês a minha fúria’”.
23 And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:
23 Recebi outra mensagem do S enhor :
24 Son of man, say to her. Thou, art a land, that is not to be rained upon, nor to receive fruitful showers, in the day of indignation.
24 “Filho do homem, transmita esta mensagem a Israel: No dia de minha indignação, vocês serão como uma terra contaminada, uma terra sem chuva.
25 Because her princes in her midst are like a roaring lion rending prey, Life, have they devoured Wealth and precious things, have they been wont to take, Her widows, have they multiplied in her midst.
25 Seus príncipes tramam conspirações, como leões à espreita da presa. Devoram inocentes, apropriam-se de tesouros, obtêm riquezas por extorsão e fazem muitas viúvas na terra.
26 Her priests have done violence to my law And have profaned my holy things, Between the hallowed and the common, have they put no difference, And between the unclean and clean, have they not taught men to discern,- And from my sabbaths, have they hid their eyes, So that I have been profaned in their midst.
26 Seus sacerdotes não guardaram minha lei e profanaram minhas coisas santas. Não fazem distinção entre sagrado e profano e não ensinam meu povo a distinguir entre cerimonialmente puro e impuro. Desrespeitam meus sábados, de modo que sou desonrado no meio deles.
27 Her rulers within her have been like wolves, rending prey,- In shedding blood In destroying lives, For the sake of getting dishonest gain.
27 Seus líderes são como lobos que despedaçam as vítimas. Destroem a vida das pessoas por dinheiro!
28 And her prophets have coated it for them with whitewash, Seeing visions of falsehood And divining for them lies, Saying, Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, when Yahweh, hath not spoken.
28 E seus profetas encobrem tudo isso com visões falsas e previsões mentirosas. Dizem: ‘Recebi esta mensagem do S enhor Soberano’, quando, na verdade, o S enhor não lhes disse coisa alguma.
29 The people of the land have exacted oppression, and seized plunder,- Even the afflicted and the needy, have they maltreated, And the sojourner have they oppressed without justice.
29 Até mesmo o povo oprime os pobres, rouba dos necessitados e nega justiça aos estrangeiros.
30 Then sought I from among them, a man Who could bud up a wall And stand in the breach before me in behalf of the land So that I might not destroy her, But I found none.
30 “Procurei alguém que reconstruísse o muro que guarda a terra, que se pusesse na brecha para que eu não a destruísse, mas não encontrei ninguém.
31 Therefore have I poured out upon them mine indignation, In the fire of mine outburst, have I consumed them, Their way, upon their own head, have I placed Declareth, My Lord Yahweh.
31 Agora, portanto, derramarei minha fúria sobre eles e os consumirei com o fogo de minha ira. Farei cair sobre sua cabeça o castigo merecido por tudo que fizeram. Eu, o S enhor Soberano, falei!”.
