Rotherham Version (ROTH) vs BKJ
1 Now, when these things were ended, the rulers drew near unto me, saying, The people of Israel and the priests and the Levites have not kept themselves separate from the peoples of the lands,in view of their abominations-even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites;
1 Ora, quando estas coisas estavam feitas, os príncipes vieram até mim, dizendo: O povo de Israel, e os sacerdotes, e os levitas, não se separaram das abominações dos povos das terras, a saber, dos cananeus, dos heteus, dos ferezeus, dos jebuseus, dos amonitas, dos moabitas, dos egípcios e dos amorreus.
2 for they have taken of their daughters, for themselves and for their sons, so that the holy seed have intermingled themselves among the peoples of the lands,and, the hand of the rulers and the deputies, hath, in this unfaithfulness, been, foremost.
2 Pois tomaram das suas filhas para si e para os seus filhos; de modo que a semente santa tem se misturado com os povos daquelas terras; sim, a mão dos príncipes e soberanos que foram os primeiros nesta transgressão.
3 When I heard this thing, I rent my garment, and my robe,and tore out of the hair of my head and my beard, and sat stunned.
3 E quando eu ouvi esta coisa, rasguei as minhas vestes e o meu manto, e arranquei os cabelos da minha cabeça e da minha barba, e sentei-me atônito.
4 Then, unto me, were gathered, all who trembled at the words of the God of Israel, concerning the unfaithfulness of them who had been exiled,but, I, sat stunned, until the evening gift.
4 Então foram reunidos a mim cada um que tremia diante das palavras do Deus de Israel, por causa da transgressão daqueles que haviam sido levados embora; e sentei-me atônito até o sacrifício da tarde.
5 And, at the evening gift, I arose from mine affliction, which had been accompanied by the rending of my garment and my robe,and I bowed upon my knees, and spread forth my hands unto Yahweh my God;
5 E diante do sacrifício da tarde eu me levantei da minha tristeza; e tendo rasgado as minhas vestes e o meu manto, cai sobre os meus joelhos, e estendi as minhas mãos ao SENHOR meu Deus,
6 and said, O my God, I turn pale and am ashamed, to lift up, O my God, my face unto thee,for, our iniquities, have multiplied above the head, and our guilt hath magnified itself unto the heavens.
6 e disse: Ó meu Deus, estou envergonhado e confuso ao erguer o meu rosto a ti, meu Deus; porque as nossas iniquidades estão aumentadas sobre a nossa cabeça, e a nossa transgressão cresceu até os céus.
7 Since the days of our fathers, we, have been in great guilt, until this day,and, for our iniquities, have we been given upwe, our kings, our priests,into the hand of the kings of the lands, by sword and by captivity and by spoiling and by a turning pale of face, as at this day.
7 Desde os dias dos nossos pais nós temos estado em uma grande transgressão até este dia; e por causa das nossas iniquidades nós, os nossos reis, e os nossos sacerdotes, fomos entregues na mão dos reis das terras, à espada, ao cativeiro, e ao despojo e à confusão de rosto, como é neste dia.
8 And, now, for a very little moment, hath come favour from Yahweh our God, in leaving to us a remnant to escape, and in giving to us a nail in his holy place,that our God may enlighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.
8 E, agora, por um breve momento se manifestou a graça da parte do SENHOR nosso Deus, para deixar com que um remanescente nosso escape, e para nos dar um prego no seu santo lugar, para que o nosso Deus possa alumiar os nossos olhos, e nos dar um pouco de reavivamento à nossa servidão.
9 For, bondmen, we are, but, in our bondage, hath our God not forsaken us,but extended unto us lovingkindness before the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up on high the house of our God, to raise up the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
9 Porque nós éramos servos; todavia o nosso Deus não nos abandonou em nossa servidão, mas tem estendido misericórdia a nós à vista dos reis da Pérsia, para nos dar um reavivamento, para estabelecer a casa do nosso Deus, e para reparar as suas desolações, e para nos dar uma muralha em Judá e em Jerusalém.
10 But, now, what can we say, O our God, after this? for we have forsaken thy commandments,
10 E agora, ó Deus nosso, o que diremos depois disto? Porque abandonamos os teus mandamentos,
11 which thou didst command by the hand of thy servants the prophets, saying, As for the land which, ye, are entering to possess, an impure land, it is, with the impurity of the peoples of the lands,with their abominations, which have filled it from one end to the other, with their uncleanness.
11 os quais tu tens ordenado pelos teus servos, os profetas, dizendo: A terra, à qual vós ides possuir, é uma terra imunda com a imundície dos povos das terras, com as suas abominações, que a encheram de uma extremidade à outra com a sua impureza.
12 Now, therefore, your daughters, do not ye give to their sons, and, their daughters, do not ye take for your sons, neither shall ye seek their prosperity nor their pleasure unto times age-abiding,to the end ye may become strong, and may eat the good of the land, and may suffer your children to possess I, unto times age-abiding.
12 Agora, portanto, não deis as vossas filhas aos filhos deles, nem tomeis as suas filhas para os vossos filhos, nem busqueis a paz ou as suas riquezas para sempre; para que vós possais ser fortes, e comais o bom da terra, e a deixeis por herança para os vossos filhos para sempre.
13 And, after all that hath come upon us, for our wicked doings, and for our great guiltFor, thou, O our God, hast spared us, punishing us less than our iniquities deserved, and hast given us a deliverance such as this,
13 E depois de tudo o que nos tem sucedido por causa das nossas más obras, e por causa da nossa grande transgressão, vendo que tu, nosso Deus, tens-nos castigado menos do que merecem as nossas iniquidades, e tens-nos concedido tamanho livramento como este;
14 should we again break thy commandments and join ourselves by affinity of marriage with the peoples of these abominations,wouldst thou not be angry with us, unto a full end, that there should be neither remainder nor deliverance?
14 deveríamos voltar a violar os teus mandamentos, e a aparentar-nos com os povos destas abominações? Não ficarias tu irado conosco até teres nos consumido, de modo que não haveria remanescente, nem quem escapasse?
15 O Yahweh, God of Israel, righteous thou art, for we have had left us a deliverance as at this day,here we are, before thee, in our guilty deeds, for there is no standing before thee, because of this thing!
15 Ó SENHOR Deus de Israel, tu és reto; porque nós permanecemos ainda escapos, como é neste dia; eis que estamos diante de ti em nossas transgressões; porquanto não podemos estar na tua presença, por causa disto.
